Joseph B. Shinton
Joseph B. Shinton, 19, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, with Bro. Ray Carson officiating.
The interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Shinton.
Survivors include his father, James Shinton; grandmother, Ruby Inglis; brothers, Jeremy Shinton, Jason Shinton, and Jimmy Shinton; a sister, Lori Shinton; uncles, Chuck Shinton, Steve Inglis; aunts, Debra Inglis Moore and Ann McCandless.

Kenneth R. Masaros
Kenneth R. Masaros, 71, died at General Care Convalescent Center in Clarksville Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at St. Paul Cemetery in Combined Locks, Wisc.
He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War and was a retired salesman with Rainsoft Water Purification System.
He was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Outagamie, Wisc., to the late John R. and Veronica Jusko Masaros Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jane Masaros.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Masaros Jr. of Appleton, Wisc.; a niece, Jane Masaros; a nephew, Guy Masaros; and Jessica Plank, his power-of-attorney.
The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Eugene Gilley
Raymond Eugene (Gene) Gilley, 56, of Greenbrier, died suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Donnie Bryant officiating.
Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Gilley was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Soil Products Company in Hermitage.
He was born in Davidson County on Nov. 14, 1946, to Raymond Lee and Margaret Louise Cunningham Gilley of Nashville.
Survivors, including his parents, include his wife, Dinah McDonald Gilley of Greenbrier; a son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Christa Gilley of Springfield; two daughters and son-in-law, Reginia Lynn Gilley-Howell of La Vergne, Lori Ann and Stephen Brown of Greenbrier; a brother, Ronnie Lee (Debbie) Gilley of Hendersonville; a sister, Dottie (Carl) Veach of Nashville; and five grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jessie Lee Harvey
Mrs. Jessie Lee Harvey died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Graveside services for Mrs. Harvey were held Friday, Sept. 26 in the Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating.
She was born in Robertson County on Dec. 31, 1930, to the late Fred H. and Susie Mae Haynes Allen.
Survivors include her husband, J. W. Harvey of Springfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Anna Slayton of Cedar Hill; brothers, Roy Allen of Springfield, Andy Allen of Arizona; sisters, Georgie Clinard of Texas, Emma Watts of Alabama; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Sally May Richards
Sally May Richards, 86, died at NorthCrest Medical Center Monday, Sept. 22, 2003.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Wednesday, Sept. 24 with Bro. Doug Downey officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Robertson County on June 27, 1917, to the late James Wesley and Ida F. Richardson Adams.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by both husbands, James R. Gezley and Charles Richards, a son, Jimmy Gezley, and a sister, Mary Scruggs.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a step-daughter, Nana Lou Kruse of Springfield; a brother, James Arthur Adams of Portland; a sister, Lula Lee Johnson of Springfield and grandchildren, Donnie (Lydia) Gezley of Cedar Hill, Jimmy (Debbie) Gezley of Greenbrier, Karen Becker of Springfield, Nancy Poupart of Chicago, and Bobby Kruse of Springfield; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Virginia Miles
Ruby Virginia Miles, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003.
Graveside services and interment were in Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland Monday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Steven Lee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Miles and daughter, Jane Armstrong.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Joe Armstrong; grandchildren, Anna Deasy and Barry Armstrong; four great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Marie H. Brown
Marie H. Brown, 89, of Springfield, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Desmond and Rev. Denny Burchett officiating.
Per her request, her remains were cremated.
Mrs. Brown was born April 14, 1914, in Kentucky to Marion Harvey and Mary Ellen Trenary Gray.
She was a Catholic and a nurse.
Survivors include a daughter, Marion Groves of Springfield; sons, Robert Ray Brown, Houston, Texas; husband, Fred Steve Brown of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Thurmon Groves Jr., Teresa Groves Jordan, and J. Dale Groves; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
