Doyle Brewer
Ernest Doyle Brewer, age 87, of Paris, Tennessee, ascended to eternity with His Savior on September 21, 2013, at Paris Healthcare Center.
He was graduated from Big Sandy High School and entered the United States Navy, serving for three years as a decorated Veteran in WWII. He attended Toler Business College and Murray State University.
Survivors include his wife, Eulalia Bowles Brewer, and three daughters, Jane (Mike) Plumley of Franklin, TN, Ann (Louis) Robbins of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Lalia (David) Winsett of Paris, 9 grandchildren, Rachel Robbins (Scott) Parker, Natalie Robbins, Jonathan Robbins, Chris (Hyekyung) Plumley, Matthew (Shellie) Plumley, Michael Plumley, Dana Winsett (John) Chango, Lindsay Winsett (Nathan) Smith, Kasey Winsett (Cliff) Barna, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mildred Holland of Camden, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie L. and Maggie Ann Brewer.
Mr. Brewer served 8 years in the National Guard, was employed by Holley Carburetor for 33 years, and Dana Corporation for 6 years. A Mason and a Gideon, he was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served many years as a Lay Leader, a Lay Speaker, and a Sunday School teacher.
Visitation will be Monday September 23, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m. until the service at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Wimberley and Bro. Larry Dukes. Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Nathan Smith, Cliff Barna, John Chango, Scott Parker, Tyler Reese, Fred Bowles, Harold Plumley, Darryl Holland, Bobby Holland, Dennis Holland, Kenny Potts, Ray Brewer, Billy Grooms, David Allbritten, M.L. Bailey, Tom Beasley, Tommye Clayton, Jess Hedges, Cleo Hosford, James Earl Paschall, Bill Saylor, Paul Villaflor, and Ross Wimberley
Memorials may be made to: Trinity United Methodist Church, 409 Wilson St., Paris, TN 38242.

Jack Peeler
Memorial service 11:00AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Visitation 10:00AM Thursday until time of service.
He was born in Madisonville, KY to Donald Peeler, preceded and Betty Upchurch Peeler, Dresden, TN. On August 20, 1990 he married Mary Peeler she survives in Puryear.
Survived by a son: Brad Stills Peeler, Louisville, KY; step-son: Jon Dewayne (Michelle Ann)Carr, Tuscaloosa, AL; sisters: Elizabeth Ann O'Conner, Paris, Donna Jo Grubb, Lexington, KY, Amy Love Peeler, Dresden, TN; brothers: David Neal (Kay) Peeler, Paris, Frank Scott (Michelle) Peeler, Brentwood, TN.
He also leaves behind his four legged creatures. He was a supporter of the V.F.W., The Disabled Veterans Associations, The Wildlife Conservation, The Nature Conservancy and The N.R.A.

Grover C. Hill
Grove Hill, 91, Paris, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral service 2:00 PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn King officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are Benjamin Akers, Russell Hill, Mike Miles, Ricky Miles, Eddie Miles, Jeff Miles, Jeremy Alexander, Jereamy Smith. Jerry Bell, Randall Foster, Herbie Moon and Gordon Owen will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Tuesday and after 12:00PM Wednesday.
He was born in Paris to the late Herbert B. and Lillie Mae Bruce Hill. On June 18, 1955 he married Lois Bradley Hill, she preceded September 30, 1998.
Survived by daughters: Rhonda Hill Gaskins, Paris, Janet Hill Moore, Waverly; sons: Rodney (Teresa) Hill, Fairfield, IL, Randy (Julia) Hill, Paris, Eddie Dale (Linda) Hill, New Johnsonville; sister: Katherine Davis, Paris; brother: Ray (Ann) Hill, Paris; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren; special friends: Jerry Bell, Paris and Randall Foster, Paris.
Preceded by a brother: Elroy Hill; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His friend and companion was his dog Ruger. Auction sales, yard sales and vacuum cleaner repair were his hobbies.
Arrangements at McEvoy Funeral Home are incomplete.

Dickie Brewer
Dickie Brewer, 72, Springville, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral service 2 P.M. Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Collier officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are David Keel, Ron Harrison, Harold Bass, Emory Bradley, Mitch Hobby, Monte Belew. Doug Summers and Chuck Lyons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 11:00 A.M. Sunday.
He was born in Henderson County, TN to the late Felix Wilburn Brewer and Eva Dennison Brewer. On May 15, 1961 he married Sarah Norton who survives in Springville, TN.
Also survived by a daughter, Dawn (Dr. Bo) Richardson of Paris, TN; grandchildren Elizabeth (Eric) Gallimore of Memphis, TN; Emily Richardson of Washington, DC; Rob Richardson of Memphis, TN.
Dickie Brewer, a lifelong farmer, was a member of the Henry County Soil Conservation Committee for almost 28 years, serving as chairman for the past 22 years. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Henry County Farm Bureau, and was a pioneer no-till farmer. He recently served on the 4-H Camp Marketing Council for Camp Hazlewood and Urban Growth Boundary Committees in Henry County and was a member of the University of Tennessee Extension Advisory Council as one of the West Tennessee representatives. He was Henry County Conservationist of the Year in 1985. He retired from the Board of Directors of Security Bank and Trust in 2008 after 20 years of service. Dickie was a Baptist by faith.

Carol King Bullen
Funeral service 1 PM Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Jonathan Smith of Fairview Baptist Church and Bro. Bill Moody officiating, burial will follow at Bevil Cemetery.
Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Friday and after 11:00AM Saturday.
She was born in Paris to the late Lawrence Porter and Lillian Pearl Pierce King. On June 24, 1966 she married Charles Robert Bullen, he preceded June 9, 2011.
Survived by a daughter Cynthia Jill Ball, Paris; son: Charles J. "Joby" Bullen, Nashville; sister: Betty Holcomb, Garland, TX; brothers: Bobby King, Russell Springs, KY, Wayne King, New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren: Racheal Danille Bullen and Christopher McCurdy.
Preceded by a sister in infancy: Joy King; brothers: Dan King, Horace King and Morris King.
Carolyn attended Fairview Baptist Church. She owned and operated Charlie's Quick Mart in Paris for many years, was a semi-retired sitter and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty Herndon
Betty Herndon, age 77, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at her Residence in Paris, Tenn. She was married to John F. Herndon Feb. 20, 1960, and he died Feb 22, 2012.
She was a retired Clerk from Kroger in Paris and a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, KY.
She was the daughter of the late Osler E. Hicks and the late Bessie Dinwiddie Hicks.
She is survived by her two daughters, Emily (David) Hopper of Jackson, Tenn., Mary Herndon Duffey of Paris, Tenn., two sons, David Andrew Herndon of Hopkinsville, Ky, John Mark (Patty) Herndon of Paris, Tenn., Grandchildren, Maris Trinity McConell, Chris Powell, Angel Powell, Josh Hopper and Brooke Hopper, and several great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., Visitation is 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 20, 2013 and after 9:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2013. The Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2013,
Randy Stephens will officiate. A Private Burial will follow.

Sallie Belle Gaddy
Sallie Belle Gaddy, age 104, of Smyrna, Tenn., formerly of Paris, TN, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Tri Star Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tenn.
She was Married December 14, 1934 to Marvin O'Neal Gaddy he preceded in death June 8, 1974.
She was a Member of First Baptist Church in Paris, TN and Formerly worked at Salant & Salant in Paris and was a former sitter for many years at the hospital in Paris, TN.
She was the daughter of the late William H. McGee and the late Sallie D. Moore McGee.
She is survived by, three Daughters, JoAnn (Lonnie) Ward of Smyrna, Tenn., Marie (John) Moore of Smyrna, Tenn., and Laura (Doug) Williams of Purcell, Okla., 7 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by, 8 sisters and 3 brothers.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn.. The funeral service will be Graveside at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2013,
Dr. Trent Bullock of First Baptist Church is officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.

Herman Preus VI
Herman Preus, 77, Paris, died Oct. 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery, Henry.
He married Katharine Krueger and she survives with two step-sons Dever Krueger, Atoka, Tenn.; Nicholas Krueger, Texas; sisters Meren Ring and Elizabeth Wermer, Minn.
He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and Bethel Seminary in Minn. He was a master mold maker and tool designer and held three patents for fishing tackle. He worked at Paris Tool and Die.
Memorials may be made to the Food Bank, 55 Jones Bend Rd., Paris; and Salvation Army, 304 W. Washington St., Paris.

Thomas "Tom" Swider
Tom Swider, 65, Paris, died Oct. 3, 2013 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Woodburg. Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He married Peggy Swider and she survives with a daughter Kimberly Fisher, Paris; sons Michael Fisher, Paris; John Fisher, Nashville; Jeff Swider, Mich. sister Annette Sisk, Mich.; brother Jim Swider, Mich.
He was a retired police officer in Garden City, Mich.
