Dolores Hults
Dolores Nora Fischer Hults, of Morris Plains, N.J., formerly of Buchanan, passed away suddenly due to a cardiac event on May 5, 2014 at her home. She was 70 years old.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dolores resided in Buchanan, TN before moving to Morris Plains 12 years ago. She attended Murray State University.
Dolores was a homemaker, and a member of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls. She was also a member of St. Clare’s Transitions Program, which she attended four days a week since 2003.
Dolores is survived by her devoted children, Kelly Hults Depcik formerly of Buchanan, TN and her husband, Walter Orihuela. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Orihuela, Kelli Orihuela, Nicole Orihuela, and Andrew Orihuela; and her loving nieces and nephews, Kevin and Amy Chmura, Jeanette and Vince Cozzolino, Thomas and Missy Chmura, Jill Collum, Russell and Kim Shepard, John Shepard, Bill and Meg Hults, Michelle Hults; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her former husband, Russell Hults, in 2013 and her mother and father Manuella T. Scrol and George O. Fischer.
Dolores was a special, faith-filled lady who loved telling jokes, and spending time with others, especially her family, her friends at the Transitions Program, and her pets. She was a gentle, kind soul who could find the good in anyone. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Gabriel Nolan
Gabriel Blevins Nolan, age 27 of Paris, died Sunday May 4, 2014.
He was born May 23, 1986 in Murray, KY to Richard T. Nolan and Melinda Blevins Nolan of Puryear, TN.
Gabriel worked at Henry County Hardwood and he enjoyed music, writing and skateboarding.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Nevaeh Gabriella Nolan of Paris, TN; a special friend, Heather Stephens of Paris, TN; and Aunt, Bertha Nolan.
Gabriel was preceded in death by Grandparents, Tom and Vivian Nolan and an uncle, Robert Nolan.
He is to be cremated. Visitation will be Saturday May 10 from 12 to 2 PM at Ridgeway Funeral Home with a memorial service at 2 PM Saturday, May 10.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Ralph Barrera
Ralph Anthony Barrera, age 93, of Paris, Tenn, formerly of Puryear, TN, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
He was married October 20, 1956 to Beatrice Valentine Barrera and she survives.
Ralph worked as an upholsterer and finisher of furniture for Compton Service in St. Louis, MO for over 35 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Paris. He was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran that served in the 23rd squadron 5th bomber group from 1941 - 1946. He served in New Guinea, Luzon, Southern Philippines and Western Pacific receiving 4 Bronze Service Stars and a Good Conduct Medal.
He was born June 13, 1920 in New Braunfels, TX to the late Rafael Barrera and the late Estella Orona Barrera.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by: Niece, Irma Lemke of San Antonio, TX, Two Local Nephews, Jimmy (Vicki) Valentine of Puryear, TN, Charles Valentine of Puryear, TN, and One Local Niece, Janna Hughes of Murray, KY; and Several other Nieces and Nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2014 with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9 – 10:45 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
Rev. Joe Paolozzi will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Dean Lechner, Pete Natoli, Dan Trocolla, Charlie Brown, Jim Brandenburg, and John Baskitis.
Interment will follow in Puryear City cemetery in Puryear, Tenn.

Bill Gulley
Miles William “Bill” Gulley, age 77, of Paris died Sunday April 27, 2014 at Henry County Healthcare Center.
He was born June 19, 1936 in Piggott, AR to the late Robert Gulley and Arrenia Jane Eubanks Thomas.
He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Paris, TN. He had worked in construction for several years.
Bill was survived by three brothers, John Paul Thomas, Jimmy Joel Thomas and Anthony E. Thomas; and a nephew Robert Gulley.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Cledith T. Gulley.
Bill was cremated, with burial of cremains to be held at a later date.

Bertie French
Mary Elberta “Bertie” McClain French, age 89, of Springville, Tenn., died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Benchmark Healthcare of Puryear.
She was married April 26, 1941 to Willard Kimble French and he preceded in death July 19, 1989. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Camden, TN and she formerly worked at Salant & Salant and then Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris, TN.
Bertie was born September 11, 1924 in Cemden, TN to the late William McClain and the late Ada Black McClain.
She is survived by her One Daughter, Rebecca "Becky" French & husband Ricky Allen of Paris, Tenn; One Son, Ricky (Janet) French of Springville, Tenn; Grandchildren, Michael (Alisa) French of Paris, TN, Garrett French of Springville, TN, Kimberley Smith of Indiana, Shane Youngblood of Paris, TN, Jeff (Karen) Patterson on Indiana, Jack (Ellen) Patterson on Indiana, Melissa (Paul) Osbourne of Indiana, Ryan (Lauren) Patterson on Indiana; Great Grandchildren, Heather Wade, Hunter Wade, Sara Grace Youngblood, Libbie French, Jackie Patterson, Ethan Osbourne, Andrew Osbourne, Greysen Patterson; Great Great Grandchild, Addalyn Wade.
Besides her husband and parents, Bertie was also preceded in death by:
Daughters, Katie Lou French and Wynell Boling; Sisters, Lucille Bain, Vergie Cook, Aquillia Sparks, Odell Smith; Brothers, Hobert McClain, Dolphus “Doc” McClain, and Buce McClain.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn. Visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12 – 2 pm at Henry County Tabernacle. The Funeral Service will be at Henry County Tabernacle at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 3, 2014.
David Gleason will officiate.
Pallbearers will be: Donald Sanders, Ronald Sanders, Jason McClain, Tony Stepp, Brian Dale French, and David Stepp.
Burial will follow in Henry Co. Tabernacle cemetery in Springville, Tenn

Louise McAlpin Webb
Louise Webb, 86, of Frankfort, Ky passed away Wednesday APril 30th at her home.
Visitation will be from 10am to 2pm Saturday May 3rd and funeral service will be at 2pm Saturday at McEvoy Funeral home.
She worked at the Merit Clothing Company for 29 years in Mayfield, Ky.

Shirley Ann Porter
Shirley Ann Porter, 77 of Paris, died Tuesday April 29th at the Henry County Medical Center ER.
She was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Shirley was a Homemaker and store manager of Holley's clothing store.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Wed. April 30th and after 11am on Thursday May 1st. Funeral will be Thursday at 2pm at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Van Dyke Grove Cemetery.

Billie Wilson, Sr.
A memorial service is planned at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 3 at Ridgeway Funeral Home for Billie Darrell Wilson, Sr. Bro. Glynn Orr and Chad Kennedy will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday.
Bill, age 73, died Monday April 28, 2014 at his residence. Born on September 1, 1940 in Henry County, he was the son of Travis Wilson and Marie Weatherford Wilson King, both deceased.
He was a member of Puryear Baptist Church and a 1959 Puryear School Graduate. He enjoyed golf, playing cards and college basketball. Bill was a longtime avid UK fan.
He retired from the State of Tennessee in 2005 as an Environmental Specialist.
Bill leaves a daughter, Laurie (Kevin) Key of Puryear; two brothers, Everett Wilson of Chicago and Jim Wilson of Mt. Juliet; one grandchild, Billy Darrell Wilson III and one great grandchild, Kane Wilson. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Wilson and her daughter, Amanda (Eric) Dunn and their two children of Puryear.
Other survivors are Ann Jones, Companion, and her children, Pam (Shawn) Phillips of Mt. Juliet, Jeffrey Jones and Philip Jones of Paris; Nine grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Joseph Phillips; Katie (Kyle) Crabtree; Jeri Lyn, Brooklin, and Jamie Jones; Ashley (Jake) Lawrence and Kelsey Jones; two step-grandchildren, Kristie King and Shanae Holden and three great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Billy Darrell Wilson Jr.; a sister, Margaret Wilson Scott; and a grandson, Eric Austin Wilson.

Valda Olds
Valda Jean Hopper Olds, age 85, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, April 28, 2014, at her residence in Paris, Tenn.
She was married November 15, 1952 to Billy Eugene Olds Sr. and he preceded in death February 28, 1988.
Valda was a member of First Baptist Church and was a nursery worker for many years. She retired after 37 years with the Board of Public Utilities as a payroll clerk. She loved her church, the Lord, her Grandchildren and helping others.
She was born July 2, 1928 in McKenzie, TN to the late McKinley Hopper and the late Loretta Spence Hopper.
She is survived by her One Son, Billy Eugene (Betty Carol) Olds Jr. of Sandy Run, S.C.; One Sister, Barbara Dean Blackburn of McKenzie, Tenn; One Brother, Jerry (Carol Jean) Hopper of McKenzie, Tenn; Grandchildren, Courtney Olds and Alexis Olds of Columbia, SC; and Nephew, Greg Blackburn of McKenzie, TN.
Besides her husband and parents, Valda was also preceded in death by a brother, Mazon Hopper.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 1 – 3 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 3:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014.
Dr. Trent Bullock will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Richard Edwards, Wyatt Glover, Charles Perry, Joe Houston and Dr. Robert Adams.
Burial will follow in Maplewood cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
