ODESSA — Gwyn D. Liddell, 79, of Odessa, an electrician for Medical Center Hospital, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lamesa Memorial Park with Roy Smalling officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Anson. He was a Marines veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Liddell of Dayton and David Liddell of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James Parmelly
ODESSA — James H. “Jim” Parmelly, 87, of Odessa, a retired Exxon Pipeline Co. worker, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Trout officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Sherman. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Esther Parmelly of Odessa; son, Donald F. Parmelly of Odessa; brothers, Jack Parmelly of Visalia, Calif., and Paul “Dick” Parmelly of Dallas; and sister, Alice Davisson of Fort Worth.

Raul Perez
KERMIT — Raul V. “Weaver” Perez, 49, of Kermit, a Key Energy Services operator, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Kermit and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Brenda Perez of Kermit; daughters, Rebecca Kingston, Jennifer Kiser and Amy Brooks, all of Kermit; parents, Manuel and Rita Perez Sr. of Kermit; brothers, Rudolpho “Rudy” Perez of Barstow, Ricardo “Richie” Perez of Houston, Manuel “Blanco” Perez Jr., Reynaldo “Rey” Perez and Rene Perez, all of Kermit; and seven grandchildren.

Dee Self
ODESSA — Dee Self, 88, of Odessa, owner and operator of Dee’s Transmission and Parts Store, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Beacon Baptist Church with the Rev. Amon Langston officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Poteau, Okla. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Opal Self of Odessa; son, Don Self of Hermiston, Ore.; three sisters; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Aggie Ashinhurst
McCAMEY - Aggie Ashinhurst, 88, of McCamey, a homemaker and waitress, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the McCamey Convalescent Center.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Resthaven cemetery with the Rev. James Michael Pirkle Jr. officiating. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Montana. She was a Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Joyce Arleen Pirkle of Burkburnett; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Virginia Chaney
CRANE - Virginia Chaney, 81, of Crane, an oil and lease owner, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Crane Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Breckenridge. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Don Chaney of Crane; daughter, Carrie Chaney of Alberquerque, N.M.; sons Larry Chaney of Andrews and Michael Chaney of Hobbs, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

KINGSLAND - Anita Sue Whitaker Foster, 72, of Kingsland, teacher, died Sunday, June 30, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Hills Baptist Church in Buchanan Dam with the Rev. Doug Lindley officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County. Arrangements by Putnam Funeral Home.
