BIG SPRING — Manuel A. Hinojosa, 38, of Big Spring, a carpenter and construction worker, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in Brownwood.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. James Plagens officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in San Antonio. He was a former Odessa resident.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Freddy Michael Hinojosa, David Lozano and Manuel Hinojosa Jr., all of Odessa; daughters, Crystal Hinojosa, April Lozano and Bernadette Hinojosa, all of Odessa; brothers, Homer Hinojosa of Abilene and Juan Hinojosa and Albert Hinojosa, both of Big Spring; sisters, Olga Tijerina of Odessa, Maria Carey and Sofie Hinojosa, both of Big Spring, and Elizabeth Hinojosa of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and mother, Maria A. Hinojosa of Big Spring.

ODESSA — Lena Mae Simpson, 101, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Jacka Elizondo
ODESSA — Jacka Elizabeth Elizondo, 55, of Odessa, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Hospice House.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Richard R. Elizondo of Odessa; sons, Timothy L. Smith of Odessa, Randy E. Elizondo of Lubbock; and Roy D. Elizondo of Odessa; daughter, Elizabeth A. Elizondo of Midland; brothers, Frank L. Langham of Arizona and Don Carper of Amarillo; sister, Janice Farrier of Crestview, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.

Johnnye Groves
ANDREWS — Johnnye Groves, 88, of Phoenix, Ariz., a retired business owner, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, in Peoria, Ariz.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Andrews Old cemetery with the Rev. Harry LaGrone officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Jack County.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Donald Allen of Fort Worth, Dale Allen and Dean Allen, both Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Bobbie Kiehl of Tyler and Tootsie LaGrone of Kilgore; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Rosa Jones
ODESSA — Rosa Ellen Jones, 63, of Odessa, a retired librarian, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mission Dorado Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Robert Jones of Odessa; sons, Raymon E. Jones of Odessa; and four grandchildren.

Brian Lee
HATTISBURG, Miss. — Brian M. Lee, 56, of Petal, Miss., a technician, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
He was Mormon.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Marisa Lee of Petal, Miss.; sons, Paul Lee of Iraan and Chris Lee of Hattiesburg, Miss., stepsons, Michael Lavine and Eric Lavine, both of Petal; stepdaughter, Dana Lavine of Petal; mother, Pat Lee of Midland; sister, Sandy Veazey of Midland; brothers, Allan Lee and Steve Lee, both of Hattiesburg; and one step grandchild.

Jim Zack
BIG SPRING — Jim Zack, 103, of Big Spring, a business owner, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Ralph Mecklenburger officiating. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born in Russia in 1899 and migrated to Canada in 1912. He came to America in the late 1920s.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Clara Zack of Big Spring; daughter, Susan Lewis of Big Spring; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA — Floyd E. Giles, 71, of Odessa, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at his residence.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Feliciana Juarez
ODESSA — Feliciana Juarez, 87, of Odessa, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Home Hospice in Odessa.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Archie Depwe
DE LEON - Archie Wynne Depwe, 74, of Desdemona, a maintenance mechanic, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at De Leon Hospital in De Leon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Victor Pena officiating. Burial will be at the Desdemona cemetery in Desdemona. Arrangements by Nowlin Funeral Home.
He was born in Orange and had been a resident of Odessa before moving to Desdemona. He was an Army veteran. He was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen Depwe of Desdemona; son, Randy Depwe of Flower Mound; daughters, Nancy Britt of Odessa and Kathy McCarty of Thornton, Colo.; sisters, Merle Palmetto and June Marks, both of Orange, and Sandy Parkinson of Blanco; and five grandchildren.

ODESSA - Linda Eaton, 49, of Odessa, a machinist, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident.

ODESSA - Rosario 'Chayo' Gabaldon, 59, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Serafin Avenido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Epigmenio Gabaldon of Odessa; daughters, Maria Gabaldon and Guadalupe Gabaldon, both of Odessa; sons, Luis A. Villa, Jesus Gabaldon, Oscar Gabaldon, Eppie Gabaldon and Benjamin Gabaldon, all of Odessa; sisters, Maria Suchil of Odessa and Grace Olague of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, Sabino Villa, Julian Villa, Emiliano Villa and Ruben Villa, all of Odessa, and Rogelio Villa of Ojinaga; and 16 grandchildren.

KILGORE - Bobby Eugene Tomlinson, 63, of Kilgore, an employee of Steelman Industries, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in Longview.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home.
He was born in Durant, Okla., and was a resident of Kilgore since 1980.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Tomlinson of Austin and Russell Tomlinson of Wylie; brother, Wayne Tomlinson of Lubbock; and sisters, Wanda Glenn of Tahoka, Shirley Jenkins of Odessa and Carol Henry of Midland.

ODESSA - Frank Leon Beggs, 73, of Odessa a retired truck driver, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc. in Kermit with the Rev. Jeremy Odom officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jenna Lee Beggs of Odessa; sons, John Beggs of Glendale, Ariz. And Billy Beggs of Odessa; daughters Jan Mann of Kingsland, Texas, Vickie Trull of Odessa, Judy Wink of Hobbs, N.M., and Donita Lane of Odessa; sister, Allene Brooks of Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was born in Anson.
