ANDREWS - Ethel O. Guthrie, 66, of Andrews, a retired hospital worker, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Decatur. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sharon Phillips, Lynne Guthrie and Lee Villanueva, all of Andrews, and Sheila Arnold of Kermit; son, Homer Guthrie of Jackson, Tennessee; sister, Marilyn Hill of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Cubbie Lovelace of Hobbs, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Jack Mollard
ALPINE - Jack E. Mollard, 77, of Odessa, a BF Goodrich mechanical engineer, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the U.S. Army.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Joanna Mollard of New Windsor, N.Y.; son, Robert Mollard of Akron, Ohio; sister, Virginia Marie Bonsecour of Columbus; and one grandchild.
Antonio Ramirez
GRANDFALLS - Antonio Ramirez, 81, of Grandfalls, a retired oilfield worker, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grandfalls with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Tamarisk cemetery. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at 210 Ave. A in Grandfalls.
He was born in Redford. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Eliazar Ramirez and Margarito Ramirez, both of Grandfalls and Jose Ramirez and Jesus Ruiz, both of Monahans; daughters, Francisca Ramirez and Maria Olivas, both of Grandfalls; brother, Ines Ramirez of Lubbock; and sisters, Virginia Galindo and Santos Ramirez, both of Odessa.
James Sims
ODESSA - James Lynn 'Lyndy' Sims, 81, of Odessa, a retired fireman, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Sonora. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ruth Sims of Odessa; son, Dewey Lee Walker of Odessa; and daughter, Glenda R. Wright of Odessa.
Jesus Venegas
ODESSA - Jesus Venegas, 82, of Odessa died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilberto Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Adobe. He was Catholic.

Daniel Casbeer
MIDLAND - Daniel 'Dan' Richard Casbeer, 86, of Midland, a retired plumber, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Snyder. He was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Nadine Turner of San Angelo; sisters, Mary Trice of Wasilla, Alaska, Leona Hargrove of Jonestown, Nora Thornhill, Faye Vasbinder and Dessie Wilson, all of Midland; brother, Virgil Casbeer of Midland; and three grandchildren.

SEMINOLE - Troy Richard Lane Goodwin, 61, of Seminole, a field operator for Great Plains Water Co., died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Church of Christ with David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Harrisburg, Ark., and was a resident of Seminole for 35 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joy Goodwin of Seminole; daughters, Terri Berry and Jan Spears, both of Seminole, Wanda Latimer of Jacksboro and Darcy Ward of Lubbock; brothers, Fred Lane of Melton, Fla., Alfred Goodwin of Cushman, Ark., Charlie Goodwin of Stratham, N.H., and Garland Goodwin of Las Vegas; sister, Kathryn Coffman of Bono, Ark.; and 12 grandchildren.

ODESSA - Virgie John Johnson, 90, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Deerings Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Good Pine, La.

She was born in Liberal, Kan., and was a lifelong resident of Fort Stockton. She was Presbyterian.

She was born in Midland.

LEWISVILLE — Clyde Lee Lynn, 62, of Lewisville, a lumber company operations manager, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville with the Rev. Kirby Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Martin Oaks cemetery. Arrangements by Dalton and Son Funeral Home.
He was born in Morehouse, Mo. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran. He is a former director of the Odessa Jaycees and a member of the American Legion in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Linda Lynn of Lewisville; daughters, Tonya Cullen and Missy Beebe, both of Lewisville; son Kendall Lynn of Lewisville; brothers, David Lynn and Larry Lynn, both of Lewisville; and nine grandchildren.
Anna Lee Maddox
ODESSA — Anna Lee Maddox, 89, of Odessa, a banker, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Highland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Scott officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Dunn. She was Methodist.

ODESSA — Charles Joseph Reyna, 71, of Odessa, a constructor, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Serafine Avenido officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in La Joya. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Johnny Reyna of Odessa, Daniel Reyna of Toledo, Ohio, and Carlos Reyna of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Jesus Napoles of Midland; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was born in Dallas. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He lived in Odessa for 21 years.

MARFA — Paula Martinez Uranga, 83, of Marfa, a parachute packer, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, in a San Antonio hospital.

She was born in Terlingua, Mexico. She was Catholic.
