FORT STOCKTON — Charles E. Baker, 78, of Coyanosa, a retired truck driver, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Rita cemetery in Sanderson. Arranagements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Brown County. He had lived in Coyanosa since 1973.
SURVIVORS: Sons, John Baker of Midland and Lee Baker of Coyanosa; daughters, Sally Baxter of Lometa and Sarah Ivey of El Paso; sister, Ida Mae Black of Fort Stockton; and 12 grandchildren.

Tommie Daniel
STANTON — Tommie Daniel, 84, of Andrews, a retired beauty shop owner, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in Andrews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Evergreen cemetery with Curits Shelburne and Gene Shelburne officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Runnells County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Butch Foreman of Andrews and George Foreman of Danville, Ky.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Clista Roberts
ODESSA — Clista Byrum Roberts, 84, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in New Orleans.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven cemetery in Midland. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Leslie, Ark. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Spanky Byrum of Belle Chasse, La.; stepson, Ronnie Roberts of Chico; brother, Howard Ray of Odessa; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Gaylen Wayne
GARLAND — Gaylen Wayne, 57, of Crandall, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Garland.
Services will be at noon Monday at Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Johnny Grisson and O.E. Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville. Arrangements by Eastgate Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.

ODESSA — De Leajah Shakira Jones, infant, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

ALPINE — Fidel “Chapo” Cano Sr., 90, of Alpine, a retired maintenance man, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was Catholic. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Estefana Cano of Alpine; son, Fidel “Sonny” Cano Jr. of Alpine; daughter, Margaret “Sister” Moreno of Alpine; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

ROSWELL, N.M. — Joseph William Hanagan, 49, of Roswell, N.M., a salesman, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Fort Bayard Medical Center.
