PECOS — Inez Vernon, 80, of Pecos, a retired clerk, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Church of Christ with Tommy Williamson and Fred Dominguez officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Long, Okla. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Husband, J.L. Vernon of Pecos; son, Lilburn Painter of Cross Plains; sisters, Ana Hooner and Blue Nichols, both of Long, Okla., and Farrell Nichols of Sacramento, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ray Berry
ODESSA — Ray Comer Berry, 77, of Navasota, an oil driller, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Caddo County, Okla. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Hazel Berry of Odessa; son, James Dean of Durango, Colo.; daughters, Cindy Wright of Navasota and Doris Curry of Baton Rouge, La.; brother, Tex Berry; sisters, Vashti Willis, Marjorie Stubblefield and Corine Berry, all of Odessa; eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

MaeDell Cox
ODESSA — MaeDell Cox, 86, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Comanche Trail Nursing Home in Big Spring.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jesse Gore officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Monteague. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Vicente Esparza Jr.
ODESSA — Vicente Esparza Jr., 64, a retired self-employed brick mason, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in San Angelo and moved to Odessa from Austin 10 years ago.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ramona Torres-Esparza of Odessa; sons, Larry Esparza and Gabriel Esparza, both of Odessa; daughter, Yvonne Esparza of Austin; sister, Jesuita Lujan of Odessa; brother, Richard Esparza of Odessa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pauline Foss
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Pauline White Foss, 77, of Arizona City, Ariz., a homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in El Paso.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel in Casa Grande, Ariz., with the Rev. Ralph Scott officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements by Simes Mortuary.
She was born in Flaxville, Mont.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Clarence Foss of Arizona City, Ariz.; daughter, Cheryl Roberts of Rankin; son, Dale Foss of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Wiona Browning of Scobey, Mont.; brother, Lester “Bud” Day of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND — Orion Lee Garza, infant son of Omar Garza and Angela Garza, of Midland, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002.

ODESSA — Joan Davis Muncy, 70, of Odessa, a welding service owner, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Hereford. She was Baptist.

ODESSA — Mariano P. Rico, 83, of Midland, a ranch hand, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Terrace West in Midland.
