ODESSA — Mary M. Brister, 94, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frey officiating. Arrangements By Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Raccouruci, La.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Freddie Vardeman of Odessa; two sisters, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Juan Carrasco
FORT STOCKTON — Juan Aranda Carrasco, 86, of Fort Stockton, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was a 63-year resident of Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joaquina Urias of Fort Stockton; son, David Carrasco of Fort Stockton; daughters, Emilia Galindo of Fort Stockton and Herlinda Bafidis of Pecos; sisters, Vickie Fuentez, Belen Molina and Josefa Venegas, all of Van Horn; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Judy Cavender
ODESSA — Judy Cavender died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. Arrangements by Memorial Service/Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in Big Spring.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jim Bob ‘J.B.’ Cavender; brother, Robert ‘Don’ Keefer; sisters, Carol Arnold and Sue Pritchard; sons, Bill Cavender of Odessa, James Cavender of Midland, Shawn Cavender of Glendale, Ariz.; daughter, Maribell Sanchez of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mona McBride
ODESSA — Mona Juanell Price McBride, 55, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ned Bruton officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral home.
She was born in Artesia, N.M.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Juanita Price of Odessa; father, E.M. Price of Mineral Wells; brothers; Gary Allen Price and Ron Price both of Odessa.

Betty Gideon
LAKE BUTLER, Fla. — Betty Alford Gideon, 84, a retired dancer, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion cemetery with Roger Worten officiating. Arrangements by Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler.
She was born in Sanderson, Texas, and lived in Odessa before moving to Lake Butler in 1987. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Stepdaughter, Evelyn Sowell of Lockesburg, Ark.; son, Buford D. Gideon of Oklahoma; sisters, Barbara A. Modisette of Jacksonville, Frances A. Smith of Lake Butler, Lois McLeod and Elsie Mattson both of Tampa; brothers, Clyde W. Alford and Carl C. Alford both of Jacksonville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Silverio Milan
FORT STOCKTON — Silverio L. Milan, 69, a retired maintenance worker for the city of Fort Stockton, died Saturday, Dec., 14, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at St. Joseph Church. Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be in Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Terlingua. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Celia Milan of Fort Stockton; son, Nicky Milan of Fort Stockton; sister, Maria Ortega of Fort Stockton; brother, Jose Milan of Fort Stockton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Elijah Wilburn
ODESSA — Elijah Desmond Wilburn, infant son of Christina LaToya Sha-nea and Mar’quette Desmond Wilburn, both of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ector County cemetery with Elder Christopher Cooper Sr. officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Parents; grandfathers, Christopher Cooper Sr. and Lee Scott both of Odessa; grandmothers, Judy McCoy of Odessa and Marilyn Bell of San Antonio; uncle, Christopher Cooper Jr. of Odessa; and aunt Andela McCoy of Odessa.

Michael McDonald
ODESSA — Michael Thomas McDonald, 49, of Odessa, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at his residence in Odessa.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Basil M. Boatwright Sr.
ODESSA — Basil M. Boatwright Sr., 72, of Kermit, died at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa Monday. He was born Aug. 8, 1930 in Camp Springs.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Kermit.
Boatwright was a retired plant operator for Chevron. He was preceded in death by his son Nathan Boatwright and brother David Boatwright.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maxine Boatwright of Kermit; son, Basil Boatwright Jr. of Midland; daughter, Della King of Kermit; four grand children; two great-grandchildren.

Jesus Bustos Sr.
ODESSA — Jesus Bustos Sr., 67, of Monahans, died Monday at Medical Center Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Sendero de La Cruz Church in Monahans. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Linda Bustos of Monahans; sons, Jesus Bustos of Monahans, Danny Bustos of Monahans, Anthony Bustos of Monahans, Joseph Stepps of Odessa; daughter, Gwendolyn Bustos of Odessa; brothers, Esequiel Bustos of Phoenix, George Bustos of Gilbert, Ariz.; sister, Maria Navarro of Coachella, Calif.

William Clark
ODESSA — William “Bill” Clark, 65, of Odessa, died Monday at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1937 in Good, W.Va. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and a retired employee of TU Electric.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jeanine Clark of Odessa; sons, Mark Clark of Hankins and Darren Clark of Odessa; mother, Carmen Clark of Burley Spring, W.Va.; brothers, Robert Clark of Caponbridge, W.Va., Randall Clark of Gargerstown, Md., Dennie G. Clark of Winchester, Va., Gene G. Clark of Groveland, Fla.; sisters, Juanita Dabbs of Ronoak, Va.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Maximiana Palomares Galindo
ODESSA — Maximiana Palomares Galindo, 72, of Odessa, died at her home Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Local services are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland.
She was Catholic.
Survivors: Husband Socorro Galindo of Odessa; son, Juan Galindo of Odessa; brothers, Ramon Palomares of Ojinaga, Santiago Palomares of Cerro Alto, Chihuahua, Mexico, Florencio Palomares of Cerro Ancelmo Palomares of Presidio; sisters, Piedad Chavaria of Lake Arthur, N. M., Alicia Sotelo of Carlsbad, N.M., and Teresa Venegas of Monahans; three grandchildren.

Irma Ramos Guerra
MIDLAND — Irma Ramos Guerra, 61, of Midland, a homemaker, died on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at her home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
She was a longtime resident of Kermit.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Hector Guerra of Midland; daughters, Sylvia Webb of Breckenridge, Colo., Corina Villa of Midland and Selina Ratliff of Midland; sisters, Lucy Fourtin, Mary Hernandez and Lilly Luna; brothers, Luis Ramos, Jesse Ramos and Mike Ramos; and six grandchildren

ANDREWS — Jimmie Lee, 87, of Andrews, a retired Exxon employee, died on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002. Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Andrews.
Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Sherry Clevenger of Andrews; brother, Bruce Lee of Comanche; sister Betty Landes of Andrews; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
