Frank Kasko

ODESSA - Frank Kasko, 75, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Marshall Archer

ABILENE - Marshall R. Archer, 52, a truck driver with Werner Enterprises, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services were held Friday at North's Memorial Chapel in Abilene with the Rev. Danny Thompson officiating. Burial was at Clyde cemetery in Clyde. Arrangements were by North's Funeral Homes.

He was raised in Anson and Abilene and had been a resident of Odessa since 1988. He was a Navy veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Sandra K. Archer of Odessa; son, Casey Lee Joseph Archer of Odessa; brothers, George Archer of Cleburne, David Archer of Odessa and Herman Archer of Arlington; and sisters, Marjorie Bassett of Abilene, Roberta Lindsay of Anson and Vera Owens of Oplin.

John Avera

LUBBOCK - John Howard Avera, 37, a student of the Lubbock State School, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1997, in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in A.W. Wilson Chapel at Jamison's Funeral Home in Lubbock with the Rev. Kenneth Cartwright officiating. Burial will be at the City of Lubbock cemetery. Arrangements by Jamison's Funeral Home.

He was born in Nashville, Tenn., and was a resident of Lubbock.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Raymond Wesley Avera of Midland, William Scott Avera and Thomas Allen Avera, both of Odessa; and sister, Barbara Ann Jackson of Odessa.

Donald Benson

COLORADO CITY - Donald Benson, 66, a retired TU Electric manager, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, in Midland.

Services were held Sunday at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ted Spear officiating. Burial was at the Colorado City cemetery. Arrangements were by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

He was a lifetime resident of Colorado City. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Russell Benson of Odessa, Bob Benson of Fort Worth and Ty Benson of Kerrville; daughter, Elise Benson of Kerrville; mother, Marie Benson of Colorado City; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Frank Kasko

ODESSA - Frank D. Kasko, 75, a retired area manager with the Texas Employment Commission, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Trenton, N.J., and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Lutheran and an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jo Kasko of Odessa; and sister, Helen Bumbera of Trenton, N.J.

Wanda Tylka

ODESSA - Wanda Tylka, 56, owner of Abode Interior Designs and Just Us Hair Salon, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, in Odessa after a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was a lifelong resident of Ector County.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Harold Tylka of Odessa; and daughters, Mary L. Burks of Las Vegas, Alice Burks and Sasha Tylka, both of Odessa.

Joyce Wells

STANTON - Joyce O'Briant Wells, 73, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in Midland.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. David Harp officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.

Arrangements by Gilbreath Funeral Home.

She was born in Fisher County and moved to Stanton 61 years ago. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Johnny Wayne Wells of Midland and Theodore Wells of Stanton; daughters, Linda Shanks and JoAnn Castleberry, both of Stanton and Nelda Evans of Midland; brothers, Cody O'Briant of Seattle and Milton Lewis of Big Spring; sisters, Reba Johnson of Odessa and Dixie Townsend of Midland; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Melvin Blalock

ODESSA - Melvin Blalock, 73, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Freddy Manning Jr.

ODESSA - Freddy Manning Jr., 42, of Odessa died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Funeral services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Roy Murphy

MIDLAND - Roy Murphy, 77, of Midland died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, in Midland.

Funeral services are pending with Pipkin Funeral Home.

James Conine

NEW BRAUNFELS - James C. Conine, 84, the general manager of Stewart and Stevenson, of New Braunfels, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at his home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial be at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements by Zoeller Funeral Home.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty Conine of New Braunfels; son, Mike Conine of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Lynda Suter and Elisa Ginn, both of Houston and Dana Miller of Plano; brother, Milton Conine of San Saba; sisters, Margaret Williams of Bonham and Dorothy Holloway of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lloyd Duncan

BIG SPRING - Lloyd H. Duncan, 74, a retired foreman for Amoco Production Company, of Big Spring, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rodney Tedford officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

He came to Big Spring in 1962 from Wink. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Buddy Duncan of Big Spring; daughters, Rosalie New of Snyder, Linda McCormick of Levelland and Peggy Jo Duncan of Hurst; brother, Floyd Duncan of Snyder; sister, Ethel Ramsey of Carlsbad, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Kelsey Francisco

MONAHANS - Kelsey Christine Francisco, 2-month-old infant of Bryan and Debra Francisco of Monahans, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Parents; sister, Meaghan Francisco of Grandfalls; and grandparents, Don Huey and Beverly Huey of Monahans and Paula Francisco of Grandfalls.
