Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trunfo De La Fe Iglesia with the Rev. Jesus Guevara officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in San Vicente. SURVIVORS: Wife, Paula Sanchez of Fort Stockton; sons, Jose Sanchez Jr., Juan Sanchez, Jesus Sanchez, Efrain Sanchez, Francisco Sanchez and Ervey Sanchez, all of Fort Stockton; daughters, Maria Reyes Espinoza and Lourdes Sanchez, both of Fort Stockton; brothers, Catarino Sanchez and Eulalio Sanchez, both of Mexico; sisters, Dora Sanchez of El Paso, Juana Ortega Sanchez and Delia Villareal, both of Fort Stockton, and Julia Villareal of Mexico; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Sylvia Watkins ODESSA — Sylvia Mae Watkins, 83, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Hospice House in Odessa. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Bugg officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home. She was born in Sylvester. She was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Husband, Burl Watkins of Odessa; son, Dennis R. Watkins of Odessa; daughters, Shirley Ann Stelly of Hobbs, N.M., and Melinda Sue Mills of Marble Falls; brother, Herman Bennett of Denver City; sisters, Dorothy Metcalf of Kermit and Edith Watkins of Wellman; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. John Kidd MIDLAND — John H. Kidd Sr., 77, of Midland died Tuesday, March 18, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Oscar Bejil officiating. Burial will be at Rankin cemetery in Rankin. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. He was born in Bauxite, Ark., and moved to Midland in 1983 from Midkiff. He was an Army veteran. SURVIVORS: Wife, Winnie Kidd of Midland; son, John H. Kidd Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Kimberly Ann Cast of Midland; sisters, Wilma Chambers of Burkburnett and Cynthia Dunn of Bauxite, Ark.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Manuel Villanueva PECOS — Manuel J. Villanueva, 78, of Pecos, a retired railroad employee, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Reeves County Hospital. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Gustavo Lopez officiating. Burial will be at the Santa Rosa cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home. He was born in San Jose. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Sons, Joel Villanueva and Israel “Roddy” Villanueva, both of Pecos, and David Villanueva of Odessa; daughters, Rosemary Chabarria and Anita Prieto, both of Pecos; sister, Maria Soto of Pecos; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Jetta Hardin EL PASO — Jetta Hardin, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village in Odessa, Texas. She was born May 19, 1911, to Andrew and Lucinda Mackey in Crystal Springs, Arkansas. She moved from Hot Springs, Arkansas, to El Paso, Texas, in 1945. Mrs. Hardin moved from El Paso to Odessa, Texas, after the death of her husband, Mark Hardin in 1986. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Vesta Lizotte, Emma Freeman and Hilda Ennis of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is survived by her son, Milton Fritts and wife, Mickey, of Lawton, Okla.; daughters, Wilma Bagley and husband, Frank, of Bunker Hill, Ind., and Cortez Pollard of Odessa; grandchildren, Scott Pollard of Cody, Wyo., Kelli Eddings and Jimmy Pollard of Odessa, Sherra Strahan of Kokoma, Ind., Leslie Nugent of Houston, Bobby Fritts, Tommy Fritts and Jimmy Fritts, all of Lawton, Okla., and Jackie Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to Home Hospice and the personnel and all the nursing staff at Parks Methodist Retirement Village for the tender, loving care extended to our Mother during her stay. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Restlawn cemetery in El Paso, Texas. Services will be conducted by Pastor Glenn Thyrion of the Faith United Methodist Church. Services entrusted to Memorial Services, Odessa, Texas. Lyndall Carpenter ODESSA — Lyndall Ray Carpenter, 64, of Odessa, a retired employee of Rexene, died Monday, March 17, 2003, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. He was born in Loraine. He was a 30-year resident of Odessa before moving to Colorado City. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cheryl Carpenter of Brownwood; brothers, Dwayne Carpenter of Odessa and Darrell Carpenter of Colorado City; mother, Coryie Carpenter of Colorado City; and one granddaughter. Micaela Garcia ODESSA — Micaela H. Garcia, 97, of Odessa died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Sienna Care Center. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Revs. David Herrera and Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rex Mathis COMANCHE — Rex James Mathis, 72, of Brownwood, a pipeliner, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sardis cemetery with the Rev. Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Arrangements by Comanche Funeral Home. He was born in Dale. He was Baptist. Nell Pollard ANDREWS — Nell Pollard, 81, of Midland died Monday, March 17, 2003, in Midland. She was a member of the Church of Christ. SURVIOVRS: Sons, Gary Parrish and Tommy Parrish, both of Midland, and Roy Don Parrish of Odessa; daughter, Imogene Hughen of Dallas; brothers, Troy Cowart of Big Lake and Roy Cowart of Mexia; sisters, Francis Dunn of Robert Lee and Joy Adair of Midland; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Robert Francis Beuter TIPTON, Iowa — Robert Francis Beuter, 69, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, died Sunday, March 30, 2003. He was born February 10, 1934, in Cedar County, Iowa, to Nichols Bennett Beuter and Margaret Francis Barry. Robert married Marie Elaine Tuminaro Oct. 13, 1992, in Odessa. He was a farmer and truck driver for Champion Technologies and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Odessa. He graduated in 1951 from City High School in Iowa City, Iowa. He served in the Iowa National Guard from 1952 to 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Beuter; and brother, Thomas Beuter. Survivors include his wife, Marie Beuter of Odessa; daughters, Karen Ficken of Tyler and Monica Riddle and husband, Larry, of Abilene; sons, Mike Beuter of Tipton, Iowa and Gary Beuter and wife, Maletta, of Tipton, Iowa; sister, Margaret Crock and husband, Ray, of Tipton, Iowa; brothers, James Beuter and wife, Loretta, of Perry, Iowa, Nick Beuter and wife Audery of Iowa City, Iowa, and Barry Beuter and wife, Nancy, of Iowa City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Fry Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tipton. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery in Solon, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Bill Walters, Tony Beuter, Steve Crock, Kenny Crock, Don Beuter and Pat Beuter. Neoma Jones ODESSA — Neoma Jones, 82, of Odessa, a housewife, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Hospice House. She was born December 20, 1920, in Coryell County, Texas. She came to Odessa in 1943 from Doole, Texas. She was Baptist. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Rose Hill cemetery with Rev. Weeks Debose officiating. Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Survaivors include her sons, Robert Jones, Stanley P.
