SEMINOLE - Charles Stephen Bumpass, 61, of Seminole, a nursing home administrator and owner of an assisted living facility, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community Chapel with Leo Copeland officiating. Burial will be at the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Little Rock, Ark. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Judy Bumpass of Seminole; sons, Stephen Bumpass and Davis Bumpass, both of San Antonio; daughters, Monica Szymanski of Andrews and Elenamaria Ellis of San Antonio; brothers, Dudley Bumpass II of Waco and Peter Wayne Bumpass of South Holland, Ill.; sister, Ava Katherine Sanner of George Town; two half-sisters; one half-brother; and six grandchildren.

Henry Cook
LOMETA - Henry Eugene Cook, 77, of Lometa, a former employee of El Paso Liquefied Natural Gas Co., died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. John Ellis, Doyle Combs and Sam Crosby officiating. Burial will be at Hines Chapel cemetery near Adamsville. Arrangements by Dodson Funeral Home of Lampasas.
He was born near Lometa. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sue Cook of Lometa; daughters, Betty Brown of Leander, Nancy Timmons of Comanche, Pearline Halsell of Robinson and Carol Cook of Somerville; son, Lynn Cook of Mertzon; sisters, Geneva O’Banon of Harker Heights and Dortha Lee Hardee of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Madge Holstein
FORT STOCKTON - Madge Holstein, 79, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at East Hill cemetery with the Rev. A. D. Jackson officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Schleicher County and moved to Fort Stockton from Rankin in 1936. She was a member of First Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Molly Akin of Honolulu, Hawaii, Mary Puckett of Fort Davis and Lisa Harkins of Sanderson; sons, Collin Holstein of Libby, Mont., and Jay Tom Holstein of Fort Stockton; brother, Dewitt Chriesman of Eltopia, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lillian Love
ODESSA - Lillian Marie Love, 81, of Odessa died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Norris officiating. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery, Rose Hill Section. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Hearne.
SURVIVORS: Husband, John Reed of Odessa; sisters, Florinda Smith and Johnnie Regan, both of Dallas; one grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

Olivia Pope
ODESSA - Olivia Bernice Pope, 59, of Odessa, a sales consultant for the College Fund, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Wayland Pope of Odessa; son, Aaron Sharp of Odessa; daughters, Anita Wangler of Dallas, Terri Scott of Fort Worth and Ginger Le Compt of New Orleans, La.; sister, Kathleen Johnson of Dallas; and 12 grandchildren.

Lucille Templeton
ODESSA - Lucille Anderson Templeton, 80, of Odessa, former owner of Charles A. Templeton Machine Shop, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in Sugar Land.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Heggemeier officiating. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Midland County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Richard Rush Knight of Missouri City, Ronnie Knight and Charles A. Templeton II, both of Mansfield; and five grandchildren.

Jacky Ward
FORT STOCKTON - Jacky Ward, 68, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker and seamstress, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Roby.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Odas Lee of Fort Stockton; daughter, Holly Johnson of Ruidoso, N.M.; son, Ricky Ward of Clinton, Okla.; sister, Barbara Harris of Odessa; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bonifacio Arguello
STANTON — Bonifacio “Barney” Arguello, 75, of Stanton, a farmer, died Monday, March 10, 2003, in Midland.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. George Thirumangalam officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
He was born in Waelder and was a longtime resident of Stanton. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Florentina Arguello of Stanton; sons, Norberto Arguello of Andrews and Martin Arguello of Dallas; daughters, Gloria Garza, Leticia Reyes and Elsa Rangel, all of Stanton, and Rosie Harris of Dallas; brothers, Juan Arguello of Big Spring and Ycidro Arguello of Midland; sisters, Macaria Chavez of Midland, Elisa Marquez of Odessa, and Frances Valles and Maria Marquez, both of Stanton; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Louis James Clark, 65, of Odessa, a tire mechanic, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.

He was born in Dallas. He was Baptist.

ODESSA — Maria A. “Nana” Gonzalez, 82, of Odessa died Wednesday, March 12, 2003.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Martinez officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Ozona and had lived in Odessa for 51 years.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Louis Garcia and Silvestre Garcia, both of Odessa; daughters, Minerva Jones of Odessa and Rebecca Peña Hines of Houston; sisters, Ester Valdez and Beatriz Garza, both of Odessa, and Carmen Trujillo of Midwest City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Myrtle Parsons
ODESSA — Myrtle Parsons, 94, of Odessa, a retired secretary, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Burial Park in Tulsa, Okla. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Lawrenceville, Ill. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Eugenia “Jean” Mae Sciscoe, 73, formerly of Odessa, a real estate manager, died Monday, March 3, 2003, in Edmonds, Wash.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Beck’s Funeral Home in Edmonds, Wash.
She was in Swifton, Ark., and was a longtime resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Verna Sciscoe of Lynnwood, Wash.; sons, James Sciscoe of Edmonds, Wash., and Bill Sciscoe of Justin; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Criselda Vasquez
ODESSA — Criselda Vasquez, 43, of Odessa died Monday, March 10, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa. She was Catholic.
