Dolores Lozano

PECOS - Dolores Natividad Lozano, 91, a homemaker, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, in Hobbs, N.M.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Brogado and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Mickie Gomez and Rachel Guajardo, both of Hobbs, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

James Wilkerson

BIG SPRING - James Harvey Wilkerson, 77, of Odessa, a former employee of Lofflin Drilling Company, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

He lived in Odessa for 50 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Nellie Clark of Santa Monica, Calif., Lena Soukup of Ingram, Velma Dansby of Tyler and Ann Williams of Tolar; brothers, Jeff Wilkerson of Odessa and W.E. 'Ed' Wilkerson of Big Spring.

Ruthie Williams

ANDREWS - Ruthie Lee Franks Williams, 67, an educator, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, in Memorial Hospital in Midland.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Means Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Terry officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Ramsdell and was a Methodist. SURVIVORS: Husband, Billy Williams of Andrews; sons, Paul Williams of Andrews and John Williams of Austin; sisters, Joy Scott of Midwest City, Okla. and Jo Pletcher of Magnolia, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Ludivina Chavez

SEAGRAVES - Ludivina V. Chavez, 47, retired from Seagraves Industries and a homemaker, of Seagraves died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Rev. Liam Sweeney officiating. Burial will be at Seagraves cemetery. Arrangements by Head Family Funeral Home.

She was born in Delicas, Chihuahua, Mexico, and had lived in Seagraves for about 20 years. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Joe Chavez of Seagraves; son, Sergio Chavez of Seminole; daughter, Elizabeth Chavez of Seminole; parents, Felipe N. and Manuela P. Valenzuela of Odessa; brothers, Efren Valenzuela of Seagraves; Rigoberto Valenzuela, Felipe Valenzuela Jr., Israel P. Valenzuela and Gerardo P. Valenzuela, all of Odessa; sister, Dolores P. Valenzuela of Odessa; and one grandchild.

William Edmiston

CRANE - William F. Edmiston, 78, a retired plant operator, of Crane died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, in Crane after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Richard W. Box Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.

He was born in Waco and moved from Bowie to Crane four years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Gary Emiston of McCamey; Bill Edmiston Jr. of Grand Prairie; one daughter, Cindy Molsbee of Odessa; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ramon Hartnett

FORT DAVIS - Ramon Hartnett, 85, a ranch cook, of Fort Davis, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at his residence.

Rosary will be said at 7 tonight at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Demetrio Ponce officiating.

Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Marfa.

He was a lifelong resident of Fort Davis.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Consuelo Hartnett of Fort Davis; sons, Roy Hartnett of Marfa; Robert Hartnett and Frank Hartnett, both of Fort Davis; brothers, Tomy Hartnett and Julio Hartnett, both of Fort Davis; Jimmy Hartnett of San Antonio; sisters, Lucy Valverde, Vic Ceniceros, and Ida Belluci, all of El Paso; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jose Muniz

ALPINE - Jose Munis, 71, a contractor, of Alpine died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Big Bend Regional Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Beto Lopez officiating. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Terlingua and moved to Alpine in 1952. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

SURVIVORS: Eulalia Bustamante; son, Salvador 'Sonny' Llanez of El Paso; daughters, Oralia Vasquez of Lubbock; Delia Carson and Sylvia Villanueva, both of Alpine; brothers, Benito Muniz of Hereford; Sisto Muniz of Phoenix; sister, Lucia Gallegos of El Paso; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Richard Smart

ANDREWS - Richard Smart, 87, a retired roofer, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Permian General Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Andrews North cemetery.

Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Marlin and had lived in Andrews since the 1960s. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Richard Smart Jr. of Oakland, Calif.; Illa Ruth Smart of Midland; brothers, Oscar Campbell of Midland; Calvin Smart of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Ozelar Smith of Midland; Rosa Lee Demmings of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bobby Joe Smithee

ODESSA - Bobby Joe 'B.J.' Smithee, 65, self-employed in the oil construction business, of Odessa died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Teddy Short officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Ranger and was a member of Greenfield Acres Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Bobbie Marie Smithee of Odessa; sons, Michael Smithee and Glenn Smithee, both of Odessa; daughter, Carla Sapp of Odessa; sisters, Merlene Spencer of Odessa; Lois Harrell of Abbott; and eight grandchildren.

Marie Phillips Bogard

ODESSA - Marie Phillips Bogard, 86, of Odessa died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997 at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are scheduled at 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, 1997 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Troy officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Wills Point and moved to Ector County in June 1944. She resided in Goldsmith until 1959 when she moved to Odessa. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jane McBride, Rose Bogard and Elizabeth Ann Harkness, all of Odessa; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Albert Cloninger ODESSA - Albert Cloninger, 90, of Odessa died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Monahans cemetery.

He was born in Duncan, Okla. and worked as a drilling foreman for Shell Oil, Co. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Joyce Saunders of El Paso, Janet Summers of Spicewood; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladyce Jackson Cloninger.
