Barry Lee Melton
ODESSA — Barry Lee Melton, age 42, died Monday, May 5,2003. Barry, the fourth child of Tom and Dorothy Melton, was born on February 1, 1961. Barry was an avid sports fan, having played football for Permian High School. Barry loved hunting and had a natural gift in all things outdoors.
Barry is survived by his parents, Tom and Dorothy Melton; his brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Jerri Melton of Odessa; his sister and brother-in-law, Dana and Bernie Ballard of Frisco; his sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Clark Lea of Midland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa officiated by the Rev. Mark Riley of Immanuel Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Manuel Olivas
ODESSA — On May 5, 2003, God called our father, Manuel Olivas home. He was born June 22, 1917 in Candelaria, TX to Remedios and Maria Olivas. He married Ynes Acosta on March 9, 1940 in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County cemetery.
Mr. Olivas moved to Odessa in 2000, he was employed as a cement finisher for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ynes of Odessa; sons, Chon Olivas of Houston, R.E. Olivas and Manuel Olivas, Jr. of Mesa, AZ, Ismael Olivas of Jal, N.M., Ruben Olivas of Odessa and Rey Olivas of Midland; daughters, Anita Galindo and Mary Ellen Rubio, both of Odessa, Estella Royal of Mesa, AZ, Rosa Elva Martinez of El Paso and Emma Mendoza of Big Spring; brothers, Ramon Olivas of Anthony, Jose Cabezuela of Presidio and Chon Cabezuela of Odessa; sisters, Margarita Cabezuela of Chihuahua, Mexico and Leonore Sosa of Milpitas, Calif.; 36 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

George Jackson
ODESSA - George Louis Jackson, 74, of Odessa, owner and operator of George Jackson’s Tire Service, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Roscoe Sutton officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Chapa Funeral Home.
He was born in Gainesville. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Moleshia Jackson and Vanessa Kelly, both of Odessa, Vette Jackson and Vaughn Jackson, both of Austin, and Wanda Davis of Columbus, Ohio; stepdaughters, Teresa Kelly and Cathy Kelly, both of Odessa; step-son, Frank Kelly of Odessa; and sister, Pauline Bergen of Kingsville.

Allie Miether
KINGSLAND - Allie Miether, 98, of Kingsland, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, in Fredericksburg.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kingsland Community Church with the Rev. Tommie Beck officiating. Burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Park in Burnet County. Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home in Kingsland.
She was born in Mineral Wells. She moved to Kingsland in 1970 from Odessa. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jordan Neufeld
SEMINOLE - Jordan Damien Neufeld, 7, of Seminole died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Children Medical Center in Dallas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter Ens officiating. Burial will be at the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Lubbock. He was a member of the German Church of God.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Tim and Judy Neufeld of Seminole; grandparents, John and Helen Neufeld of Seminole; and great-grandparents, Margaret Neufeld of Seminole and Agetha Weibe of Canada.

Russell Wagner
ODESSA - Russell Wagner, 82, of Odessa, a driller, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven cemetery in Menard. Arrangements by Chapa Funeral Home.
He was born in Menard.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Linda Wagner, Sue Wagner and Cathy Tatum, all of Odessa; Henry Clay Wagner of Ransom, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Charles Whisenant
SEMINOLE - Charles Fra Whisenant, 72, of Austin, an honorably discharged Master Sgt. in the Army, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at his residence in Austin.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gaines County Memorial cemetery North with the Rev. Derrel Evins officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Plaines. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Shawn Brandon and Shanea Davis, both of Austin, and Sharon Berry of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Lowell Dwayne Whisenant of Grove; sisters, Patsy Lee Timmons of Marlin and Nancy Jo Seydler of Seminole; and four grandchildren.

Rosaelva Grado
ODESSA - Rosaelva Grado, 58, of Odessa died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Nell Pollard
ANDREWS - Nell Pollard, 80, of Andrews died Monday, March 17, 2003, in Midland.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Margaret Berry
MONAHANS — Margaret Louise “Nanny” Berry, 76, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Monday, April 28, 2003, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Sikeston, Mo.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Lightening Berry of Monahans; sons, Leonard Berry of Dickinson, N.D., and Tim Berry of Celina; daughter, Carolyn Starustka of Monahans; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Delia Guerrero
BARSTOW — Delia R. Guerrero, 74, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Monday, April 28, 2003, at Manor Park Nursing Home in Midland.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Barstow cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Barstow. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Louis Guerrero of Odessa and Robert Guerrero of Austin; daughters, Lily Dominguez of Pecos, Maggie Guerrero of Midland and Stella Strange of Plano; brother, Francisco Rodriguez of Odessa; sister, Aurora Avila of California; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Margaret Rinearson
ODESSA — Margaret Rinearson, 60, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, April 28, 2003, at Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in Union City, Tenn.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Robert Rinearson of Odessa; sons, Donald Foster of Peoria, Ill., and Ronald Foster of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Pam Meeker and Tonya Richards, both of Peoria, Ill.; sister, Betty Hardness of San Angelo; and three grandchildren.

Paula Steel
PEACHTREE, Ga. — Paula Bedell Steel, 56, of Newnan, Ga., died Sunday, April 20, 2003, in Coweta County, Ga.
No services have been scheduled. Arrangements by Metro Crematory.
She was born in York County, Md.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bret Steel of Pensacola, Fla.; mother, Audry Bedell of Odessa; and sisters, Sharon Bruito and Sandra White, both of Odessa.

ANDREWS — Delia Tidwell, 60, of Andrews, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Owen Sharp officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Baytown. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Kenneth Tidwell of Andrews; sons, Craig Roland of Fort Worth and Eddy Tidwell of Andrews; daughters, Sara Jayrene Sargent and LaDonna Tidwell, both of Andrews; brothers, Otis Moore of Odessa, Frank Harrell of Andrews and Lea Galloway of San Pedro, Calif.; sister, Sara Williams of Midland; and five grandchildren.
