Services are pending with Chapa Funeral Home.

ODESSA — Sandy Russey, 57, of Monahans, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at her residence.
Services are pending with Heritage Funeral Home.

Robert Stokes
ODESSA — Robert Stokes, 69, of Odessa, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his residence.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.

Marie Bentley
ODESSA — Marie Bentley, 80, of Tulsa, Okla., died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in Tulsa.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Sapulpa, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Larry Bentley of Odessa and Michael Bentley of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Rita Howell of Tulsa; brother, Everett Thomas of Tulsa; sister, Margie Elliff of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Anna Berry
PEARSALL — Anna Berry, 72, of Pearsall died Sunday, April 13, 2003.
Private burial services were April 16. Arrangements by Trevino’s Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel of Pearsall.
She was born in Monterey, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Son, Joe Skelton of Odessa; sister, Maria Ortiz Menchacha and Marina Ortiz, both of Monterey, Mexico; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Elma Cregar
BIG SPRING — Elma C. Cregar, 89, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Saturday, April 19, 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Teeters and Michael King officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Crockett, Va., and moved to Big Spring in 1984. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Son, Willis R. “Bill” Cregar of Big Spring; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Martha Hare
BLANCHARD, La. — Martha Emogene Hare, 69, of Blanchard, La., a homemaker, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in Blanchard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Church of Christ with Leroy Hudson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tamarisk cemetery in Grandfalls. Arrangements by Family Services Funeral Parlor/Jackie Harkey of Monahans.
She was born in Brownwood.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Delbert Hare of Blanchard, La.; daughters, Debra Copeland of Weatherford and Becky Melius of Monahans; brothers, Perry “Bud” Lange of Marlin and Sam Lange of Quitman; sister, Sherry Lange Nachlinger of Snyder; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

GARDENDALE — Gerald “Jerry” Lewis Hoover, 74, of Gardendale, a retired Navy veteran, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at his residence.
No services have been scheduled. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He was born in Lawton, Okla. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ruth Hoover of Gardendale; sons, Lewis Hoover of Gardendale and Marcus Hoover of Wink; brothers, Donald Hoover of Santo and Pat Hoover of Saginaw; sister, Betty Franklin of Arlington; and three grandchildren.

Guadalupe Juarez
BARSTOW — Guadalupe Juarez, 53, of Odessa, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Barstow cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Linda Juarez of Odessa; daughters, Silvia Castillo of Midland, Priscilla Navarette of Odessa; stepson, Christopher Anaya of Odessa; stepdaughters, Christina Serna of Dallas and Abby Michelle Anaya of San Angelo; brothers, Victorino Juarez of Barstow, Tereso Juarez of Barstow, Fransisco Juarez of Midland and Tito Juarez of Houston; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Julia Portillo, 89, of Odessa died Friday, April 18, 2003, at Seabury Nursing Home.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Yorktown. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Robert “Bobby” Rios of Odessa; sisters, Jesusa Elizondo and Amada Jocobo, both of Odessa; brothers, Joe Rubalcado of Austin and Mike Rubalcado of Baytown; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Tennie Rogers
MONAHANS — Tennie Fae Lewis Rogers, 92, of Ruidoso Downs, N.M., a retired beauty shop owner, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, in Ruidoso.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Monahans cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
She was born in Navarro County. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, J. B. Rogers Jr. of Ruidoso Downs, N.M.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Raul Sanchez
CRANE — Raul G. Sanchez, 46, of Crane, a parole officer, died April 18, 2003, at the Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today in the Crane County Exhibition Building. Burial will be in the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
He was born in Monahans. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Twilah Sanchez of Crane; sons, Shaun Sanchez and Daniel Sanchez, both of Crane; daughter, Melissa Sanchez of Crane; parents, Manuela and Raul Sanchez, Sr., of Crane; and one grandchild.

ODESSA — Ryan Scott Shaw, 18, of Odessa, an oilfield worker, died Saturday, April 19, 2003.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Zion Christian Church with Dr. Dewey Blevins officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Big Spring and moved to Odessa in 1999 from San Angelo. He was a member of the Zion Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Mother and stepfather, Charmain Shaw and James Robertson of Odessa; brothers, Joshua Shaw and Noah Shaw, both of Odessa; sister, Shae Oliver of Hobbs, N.M.; grandparents, Jerome and Lorrie Roehl of Gardendale and Deland Shaw of Big Spring; great-grandmother, Ben J. Roehl of San Angelo.

She was born in Brady.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Roger Dale Smith of Odessa and Terry Lee Smith of San Angelo; daughters, Misty Fraley and Glenda Richardson, both of Odessa; brothers, Henry Prosise of Branson, Mo., and Delbert Lynn Prosise of Eden; sisters, Bee Davis and Glenda Stovall, both of Eden, and Alice Barnes of Austin; and seven grandchildren.
