MARFA — John “Jack” O’Donnell, 64, of Marfa, a retired U.S. Border Patrol agent, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, in an Odessa hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Marfa cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in El Paso. He served in the Army and was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Elaine O’Donnell of Marfa; daughter, Tammy Nave of Marfa and Patricia O’Donnell of Florida; son, Shane Nave of Austin; brothers, Pat O’Donnell of El Paso, Mike O’Donnell of Van Horn and Tim O’Donnell of Alamogordo, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

Clarence Stanfield
HOBBS, N.M. — The Rev. Clarence L. Stanfield, 91, of Hobbs, N.M., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, in Hobbs.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Dyess officiating. Burial will be at Grady cemetery in Grady, N.M. Arrangements are by Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington, N.M.
He was born in Grady, N.M. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, David Stanfield of Edgewood, N.M.; daughters, Joyce Kemper of Hobbs, N.M., and Sharron Bennett of Jonesboro, Ark.; brother, Clyde Ray Stanfield of Albuquerque, N.M.; sister, Gladys Thomas of Grady, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Delores Avila, 44, of Odessa died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

ODESSA — Larry J. Briscoe, 55, of Odessa died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Methodist Memorial Hospital in Houston.

FORT STOCKTON - Jean Elizabeth Garrett, 77, of Fort Bragg, Calif., a retired teacher, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, in Mesa, Ariz.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Annett Lehan of Fort Bragg, Calif., and Dotti Gillis of Sandy, Utah; son, Bud Garrett of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Dorothy Chriesman of Sanderson; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ADA, Okla. - Dorothy Faye Killion, 70, of Ada, Okla., a former employee of the Ector County Independent School District Food Service Division, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at a Stonewall Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Highland cemetery with Dr. Milburn Wilson officiating. Arrangements are by Smith-Phillips Funeral Home.
She was born in Canadian, Okla., and moved to Ada from Odessa in 1998. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Linda Killion of Stonewall; brothers, Kennith Satterwhite of Spencer, Okla., and Tom Popejoy of Bakersfield, Calif.; and sister, Helen Bryan of Midwest City, Okla.

Frank Salcido
PECOS - Frank Salcido, 57, of Pecos, a retired rig supervisor, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos. He was an Army veteran and was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Francisco Daniel Salcido of Conroe; daughters, Paula Diana-Salcido Torres of Carrollton, Amelia Veronica Howard of Austin and Francesca Antoniette Garcia of Midland; brother, Felix Salcido Jr. of Pecos; sisters, Rachel Natividad and Rosa Cedillo, both of Pecos; and nine grandchildren.

CLYDE - George Kenneth Turner Sr., 79, of Odessa died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, in an Odessa care center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Burial will be at the Clyde cemetery. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home.
He was born in Dora and moved to Odessa from Clyde in 2000. He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, G.K. 'Sonny' Turner Jr. of Midland and Ronald James Turner of Mesquite; brother, J.B. Turner of Hamlin; sisters, Jo Ann Langston of Weatherford and Maudie Perkins; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

BIG SPRING - Wendell O. Ware, 64, of Big Spring, a retired principal of Big Spring Independent School District, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, in Mountain View Lodge.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at The First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ed Williamson and David Ring officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in McCamey. He was Methodist.

MIDLAND - Clark Wilkinson, 85, of Midland, a retired employee of Amoco Production, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity with the Rev. Josie Rose officiating. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
He was born in Austin. He served in the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserves. He was a Episcopalian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Annette Wilkinson of Midland; son, Peter Wilkinson of Midland; daughters, Susan Wilkinson Davis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Julie Tout of Granbury; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
