MONAHANS — Virginia Lee Hedges, 59, of Monahans, a certified nurse’s aid, died Friday, March 12, 2004, in Odessa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pavillion at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Larry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Gladewater.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Charlie Hedges of Monahans; son, Ronnie Hedges of Odessa; brothers, Eddie Scott and Bobby Scott, both of College Station; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Enrique Lujan
MARFA — Enrique “Henry” Larez Lujan, 88, of Marfa, a retired lineman for West Texas Utilities, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at an area hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Shafter. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Esmeralda Gonzales of Marfa; brothers, Manuel L. Gonzales of Marfa and Frank L. Lujan of El Paso; and two grandchildren.

Guadalupe Trujillo
PECOS — Guadalupe Trujillo, 85, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Muñoz officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Marfa. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Juan Trujillo of Pecos; sons, Richard Dominguez of Odessa and Manuel Dominguez of Carson, Colo.

Karl Wren
MONAHANS — Karl Leon Wren, 53, of Monahans, a systems operator, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at his home in Monahans.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter McCall officiating. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Connie Wren of Monahans; sons, Donnie Wren of Big Spring and Karl Wren Jr. of Maine; daughter, Christina Simon of Shreveport, La.; brother, George Wren of Andrews; sister, Veribeth Smith of Gilmer; and three grandchildren.

Franklin Lewis
ODESSA — Franklin Whitt Lewis, 49, of Odessa, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at his residence.
Services are Pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Enrique Gonzales
MONAHANS — Enrique Deanda Gonzales, 57, of Monahans, an employee with MHMR, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Monahans.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/
Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Monahans.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Veronica Gonzales of Monahans; daughters, Rebecca Ochoa, Jennifer Nevarez and Corina Nevarez, all of Monahans; father, Francisco Gonzales of Monahans; brothers, Monseis Gonzales of Tucson, Ariz., Paublo Gonzales of Dallas, Rosendo Gonzales of Brownwood and Martin Gonzales of Monahans; sister, Dominga Joyce of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Alton Hatfield
MIDLAND — Alton G. Hatfield, 80, of Midland, a retired field gas tester and safety and environmental coordinator, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Odessa.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Edwards officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mount Marion cemetery in Strawn. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Thurber. He was Methodist. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He served as city councilman from 1968 to 1971 and later as mayor of Denver City from 1971 to 1973.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Elizabeth Hatfield of Midland; sons, Biff Hatfield of Amarillo and Rick Hatfield of Odessa; daughter, Ann Dawdy Clary of Amarillo; and four grandchildren.

Jada Powell
KNOX CITY — Jada Goble Powell, 65, of Odessa, formerly of Rochester, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rochester cemetery with the Rev. Katherine Byrd officiating. Arrangements are by Mansell-Smith Funeral Home.
She was born in Rochester.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Archie Powell of Denver City; son, Andis Lane Hopper of Odessa; daughter, Jadene Leaetta Whatley of Odessa; brother, Bobby Richard Goble of Crestview, Fla.; sister, Mozelle Hopper of Odessa; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

MONAHANS — Kenneth Wilson Reamy, 67, of El Capitan, former owner of Reamy Drilling Company, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at his residence.

He was born in Dredell. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

MIDLAND — Cecillia Sanchez, 60, of Midland, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in Midland.

She was born in Fort Stockton.

CRANE — Jesus M. Tarin, 60, of Crane, an oilfield derrick hand, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in the Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Presidio. He was Catholic.

MONAHANS - Frances Eliza Williams Doran, 89, of Ingram and formerly of Monahans, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship with Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home.
She was born in Menard County. She was a member of Grace Fellowship.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jimmy Lewis Doran of Proctor; daughters, Hazel Kathleen Castonguay of Midland and Madeline Rodgers of Ingram; brother, John Afton Williams of Forney; sister, Lee Smith of Kaufman; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
