FORT STOCKTON — Andres Suchil Garcia, 83, of Fort Stockton, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in San Carlos, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jobita Pillado Garcia, of Fort Stockton; sons, Alfonso “Ponch” Garcia of Hobbs, N.M., Andres “Andy” Garcia Jr. and Saul Garcia, both of Crane, Thomas Garcia of Monahans, Luis “Gus” Garcia and Rudy Garcia, both of Pleasant Farms and Hector Garcia of San Antonio; daughters, Rosa Martha Jones of Hobbs, N.M., and Jean Gonzalez and Brenda Lee Duran, both of Fort Stockton; sisters, Matilde Garcia Spencer of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Maria G. Burrola of San Carlos, Mexico; 21 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

CRANE — Ruth F. Land, 79, of Crane, a former administrative secretary at the University of Texas in Austin, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at the Crane Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Durant, Miss. She was Methodist.

Felipe Ornelas Jr.
PECOS — Felipe Ornelas Jr., 20, of Pecos, a concrete construction worker, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Gustavo Lopez officiating. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Pecos Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Dalhart. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Marlene Ornelas of Midland; son, Isaac Ornelas of Midland; mother, Silvia Aguilar of Pecos; brothers, Daniel Aguilar of Pecos and Candelario Ornelas of Presidio; and sisters, Brenda Ornelas and Jamie Ornelas, both of Presidio.

Jesus Porras
MONAHANS — Jesus Lujan Porras, 64, of Monahans, an auto mechanic, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at the Grandfalls Tamarisk cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Grandfalls. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jesus Porras of Dayton and Curtis Davis of Monahans; daughter, Jana Burgess of Baytown; sisters, Rita Morales of Roswell, N.M., Cora Velasquez and Romona Ochoa, both of Monahans, and Belen Ogden of Newport Richie, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

SEMINOLE — Sylvia Lucille Taylor, 54, of Houston, an assistant shift supervisor at Veritas DGG, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Seminole.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Laura Elberta Taylor of Houston; and brother, Rodger Dean Taylor of Seminole.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dell City Memorial Park with the Rev. Lindsay Park officiating. Arrangements are by Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.
