Edmund Theesfield
ODESSA — Edmund Wilford Theesfield died on Dec. 20, 2003, in the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring. Funeral Services will be held today in the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Bushart officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be a Masonic ceremony at the graveside.
Edmund was born on April 8, 1921, to August Theesfield and Anna Hecht Theesfield in Ringstead, Iowa. He was orphaned at the age of five and was raised by his aunt and uncle Ben and Minnie Daro. On Aug. 7, 1942, he married
Frieda Asay in Roberts, Illinois. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Odessa with his wife in 1959. He worked as a letter carrier until his retirement.
He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Oil City Sam’s, Trailer Town Travelers, El Paso Scottish Rite and the Masonic Valley Lodge A.F.@ A.M. 175 in Burnet. He was also a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Edmund is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frieda Theesfield, of Odessa; children, Beverley Wilkerson of Killeen, Steve Theesfield of Odessa, Gary Theesfield of Henderson, Nev. and Roddy Theesfield of Odessa; brother, Henry Theesfield of Addison, Illinois; sister, Alveretta Hector of Sheldon, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, two foster brothers and one foster sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Luke’s Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
Evelyn L. Gardner
ODESSA — Evelyn Lorena Gardner, age 92, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Sherwood Place in Odessa.
She was born Dec. 4, 1911, to Earl and Carrie Walton, in Seminole, Texas. She married
Floyd Lee Gardner on April 20, 1930, in Waurike, Okla. She was self-employed as a photographer, and they owned Gardner Photography Studio. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Her husband; her parents; one brother; and one sister all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her niece, Nancy Culvahouse of Odessa; great-niece, Karen Munsell and husband Steve of Odessa; and cousins, Stephanie and Kari, and Elizabeth and Jack Vincent of Odessa.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2004, at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven cemetery in Midland.
A special thanks to Odyssey Health Care and to the caregivers at Sherwood Place.

Helen Oleta Williamson Hughes
ODESSA — Helen Oleta Williamson Hughes was promoted to glory and into the waiting arms of her Savior on March 26, 2004, at her daughter’s residence where she had been living for the past three years. Mrs. Hughes died of Alzheimer’s complications.
Helen Williamson was the daughter of Charles Rufus Williamson and Bertie Ethel Williamson and was born April 30, 1914, in Charlie, Texas. She married
her husband of 60 years, Virgil A. Hughes, on Feb. 9, 1934, in Grandfield, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; her parents; and a grandson.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by three daughters, Sherry Baker, Reba Baker and husband Oakley and Dianne Warden and husband James, all of Odessa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Blanche Boman of California, Ruby Jewel Elliott of Louisiana and Bertie Machel and husband Paul of Oklahoma.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of Second Baptist Church since 1954. She was an alteration lady for many years at Shop De Los Llanos in Odessa.
Mrs. Hughes was a Christian woman who loved her Savior and family beyond measure.
Funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Duckett and her grandson, Capt. David Feeser officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family wished to express gratitude to Odyssey Hospice, Annelle Celander, RN, Micah Ramirez and all the caring aids who helped with mother.

Robert ‘Bob’ Muncy
ODESSA — Robert “Bob” Muncy, 72, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Amarillo.
He was owner of Bob Muncy Welding & Construction for many years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Muncy; son, Robert LeeRoy Muncy; daughter, Janis Fitzpatrick; three brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Tommy Muncy and wife Cindy of Odessa; and seven grandchildren, Chad Muncy, Matthew Muncy, Shawna Muncy, Tausha Muncy, Justin Muncy, Jordan Fitzpatrick and Bethany Fitzpatrick.
There will be a visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2004, at Belmont Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Paul Bow, Craig Lomax, Royce Reyenga, Bobby Valdez, Rodney Green and Ronny Keith. Honorary Pallbearers will be PeeWee Perry and Gene Sloan.
Memorials may be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in Amarillo and Odyssey Health Care in Odessa.

Bertha Emilie Raibourn
Bertha Emilie Raibourn, age 74, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004, at Comanche Nursing Home in Comanche.
She was born May 5, 1929, to Fritz W. and Lydia E. Redman in Rowena, Runnels County, Texas. She married
Billy Raibourn on May 16, 1954, in Ballinger. She enjoyed gardening and working with all kinds of flowers. She loved being with her family and taking care of the grandkids. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and did childcare in her home.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Luna and husband Rudy of Odessa, Phyllis Priddy and husband Dennis of Sydney, Texas, and Kathey Raibourn of Odessa; son, Billy Raibourn of Elizabethtown, Ky.; brothers, Daniel and Willard Redman, both of Miles, Texas, and Richard Redman of Tacoma, Wash.; and seven grandchildren, Krystal and Lance Luna, Sigrid and Meredith Priddy, and Dustin, Jennifer and Jason Raibourn.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Clydel Chapman officiating.

Rose Nell Williams
ODESSA — Rose Nell Williams, 77, of Odessa, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004, at the Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Elton, La., to William and Unia McKinley. She married
James A. Williams Aug. 20, 1972, in Odessa. She had worked for the ECISD food service department. She retired in 1991. She was a member of Caprock Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher there for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Park; her parents and a sister.
She is survived by her husband, James Williams of Odessa; sons, Lee Park and wife Hermila of Crane, Bill Park and wife Sherry, Randy Park and David Park and wife Tina, all of Odessa; daughters, Sandy Park and Tammie Sanchez and husband Sam, all of Odessa; sister, Yvonne Hatmaker of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2004, at the Caprock Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at the East Hill cemetery in Fort Stockton.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice House or Caprock Baptist Church.

Barbara Cree Kistner
HOUSTON — Barbara Cree “Bobbie” Kistner passed peacefully at home on April 2, 2004, at the age of 59.
She was born April 11, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, to Mel and Jeanne Cree. She married
Tom Kistner on December 25, 1986.
Bobbie is survived by husband, Tom of Houston; daughter, Erin Field of Incline Village, NV; son, Kyle Field III of Belmont, CA; sister, Julie Logsdon and husband, Weldon of Odessa, TX; daughters, Kristin Hall of Spring, TX, Marcia Roberg of Orangeberg, SC, Cheri Champagne, Montgomery, AL; son, Tim Kistner of Alexandria, VA; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2004, in the chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. Funeral Directors, 3320 Kirby Drive.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to the following charities: Al-Anon Family Group Services, 10120 Northwest Frwy. Mary Jo Morrison
ODESSA — Mary Jo Morrison, 76, a resident of Odessa since 1953, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 23, 1927, in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
She married
Robert Morrison Dec. 7, 1945, in Breckenridge. She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She was worthy matron of Eastern Star Friendship Chapter #1008. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Odessa, and the Lady Shriner, Losa El Mynia in El Paso.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest grandson, Robert Dewayne Barbee.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Morrison of Odessa; daughters, Donna Lea Barbee and Terry Gayle Perkins, both of Odessa; brothers, James and Bob McAlpine, both of Odessa; sister, Doris Brown of Vinita, Okla.; three grandchildren, Teri Renee Barbee, Terry Eugene Perkins and Robert Keith Perkins; and six great-grandchildren, Amber Diane Perkins, Tammy Ann Clark, Michelle Danette Perkins, Terry Dawn Perkins, Terry Eugene Perkins III and Cassidy Jaton Barbee; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Cleere officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
