MIDLAND — Frances Heltzel, 69, of Midland, an actress, died Friday, April 16, 2004.
The family will receive friends between 6 and 9 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at Monahans Municipal cemetery with Mike Peek officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Meridian, Miss.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Lee Heltzel of Lewisville, Christopher Alan Heltzel of Largo, Fla.; daughter, Jonni Heltzel Chandler of Monahans; brother, Larry Kenneth Smith; sisters, Audrey Wilder of Gulfport, Miss.; Wanda Kaye Shoemaker, Suzanne Karr and Molly Gail; and five grandchildren.

Jack Hildebrand
ODESSA — Jack Lee Hildebrand, 68, of Odessa, a plumber and offset printer, died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Tapley officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in DesMoines, Iowa, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Glenn Hildebrand and Dana Hildebrand, both of Midland, Troy Hildebrand of Omaha, Neb., David Hildebrand of Denver, Colo., and Jonathan Hildebrand of DesMoines, Iowa; daughter, Robbin Hall Ward, Ark.; brother, Glenn W. Hildebrand of Provo, Utah; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Antonio Venegas
ODESSA — Antonio Carrillo Venegas, 63, of Odessa, a retired heavy oilfield equipment operator, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at his residence.
Services and burial will be at a later date in la Esmeralda, Mexico.
He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Paula Valenzuela-Venegas of Odessa; sons, Antonio Venegas Jr. and Aron Venegas, both of Odessa; brother, Roberto Venegas of Ojinaga, Mexico; sisters, Alejandra Soleto and Ines Urias, both of Odessa, and Lucina Venegas of Ojinaga, Mexico.

Clinton Kingston
HOBBS, N.M. — Clinton Kingston, 80, of Hobbs, N.M., a retired supervisor in the oil and gas industry, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in Hobbs.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Dyess officiating. Arrangements are by Duncan-May Funeral Home.
He was born in Dublin, Texas. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Martha H. Kingston of Hobbs, N.M.; son, Donald Kingston of San Antonio; sister, Dessi Lee Kendal of Robert Lee; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Helen Kirkpatrick
ANDREWS — Helen Yarbrough Kirkpatrick, 77, of Andrews, a homemaker and former employee of the Andrews Nursing Home, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Gail Faries and Chuck Sammons officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Foyil, Okla., and moved to Andrews in 1948 from Kermit. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, James Yarbrough, Larry Yarbrough and Tim Yarbrough, all of Andrews, and Kenny Yarbrough of New Braunfels; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Cecil Whatley
ODESSA — Cecil Junior “C.J.” Whatley, 70, of Odessa, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at his residence.Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Larry Burns
ODESSA — Larry “Buckshot” Burns, 64, of Odessa, a retired toolpusher, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. John Lyons officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Ackerly and moved to Odessa in 1984 from Snyder.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Linda Burns of Odessa; sons, Buck Burns and Kevin Burns, both of Odessa; daughters, Lyn Chaney and Teresa McDuffee, both of Snyder, and Jay Hobbs of Rockmart, Ga.; stepmother, Glenna Burns of Lubbock; sisters, Peggy Morris of Lubbock and Elizabeth Higginbotham of Victoria; stepbrothers, Ted Johnston and James Johnston, both of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Petra Granado
FORT STOCKTON — Petra Huerta Granado, 81, of Fort Stockton died Monday, April 19, 2004, in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Alamos Marquez, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Son, Isidro Granado of Fort Stockton; daughters, Luz Elia Contreras and Rebecca Matta, both of Fort Stockton; brothers, Guadalupe Huerta, Marcos Huerta, Jose Huerta and Tomas Huerta, all of Mexico; sisters, Josefina Huerta and Margarita Hinostrosa, both of Mexico; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Willie Harvey
ODESSA — Willie Ann Harvey, 61, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Power House Church of God in Christ with Charles Turner officiating. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Liberty Hill.
SURVIVORS: Sons, James Ray Carson of Midland and Ra’la’Tae Jubar Wilkerson of Odessa; daughters, Janie Wilkerson, Marchelle Harvey and Anjanette Harvey, all of Odessa, and Doris Graves of Amarillo; brothers, Jack Wilkerson of College Station, Alton Wilkerson of Wallis, Roy Wilkerson of Odessa and Horace Wilkerson of Houston; and sister, Gertrude Carroll of Houston.

Lorenzo Bretado
MIDLAND — Lorenzo S. “Lencho” Bretado, 59, of Midland, an employee of Tetra Pipe, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A rosary was said at 7 p.m. Saturday at Ellis Funeral Home. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park-North. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Durango, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Adela Bretado of Midland; sons, Andres Bretado of Midland, Manuel Bretado of El Paso, Natividad Bretado of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Vicente Bretado of Indiana; daughters, Blanca Bretado of Indiana and Martha Bretado and Gloria Bretado, both of Juarez; brothers, Odilon Bretado of Midland, Andres Bretado of Bellwood, Ill., and Gonzalo Bretado of San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Claudia Bretado of Maywood, Ill., Elisa Bretado of Mexico City, Ventura Cervantes of Coahoma and Luz Martinez of Sandsprings; and 14 grandchildren.

ODESSA — Nona Mable Looper, 63, of Odessa, died Friday, April 16, 2004, at her residence in Odessa.

She was born in Wynn, Ark. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
