ALPINE — Gregory Linn Mathews, 45, of Alpine, an artist and antiques dealer, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in Alpine.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Josephine Linn-Browne; and brother, Thomas Linn Mathews.

Hunter Midkiff
MIDLAND — Hunter Midkiff, 89, of Midland, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Gateway Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Snow officiating. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland. He served in the Navy.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lianne Midkiff Giles of Midland; son, Samuel Gerald “Jerry/Sam” Midkiff of Goldthwaite and James Richard “Jimmy” Midkiff of Plano; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

David Moton
ODESSA — David Moton, 60, of Odessa, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. Linston Tripplett officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery, Rose Hill section. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Eola, La.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Irene Moton of Odessa; sister, Gloria Tripplett of Lake Charles, La.; and brother, Edward Moton of Lake Charles, La.

Gladys Parker
FOLLETT — Gladys Akers Parker, 97, of Follett, a homemaker, died Monday, May 31, 2004, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Services were held Saturday, June 5, 2004, at United Methodist Church. Burial was at Higgins cemetery in Higgins. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home in Shattuck, Okla.
She was born in Shattuck, Okla. She taught school for two years at Loland and Cope schools.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Elaine Wilhelm of Odessa, Dophia Block of Santa Barbara, Calif., Marilyn Sullivan of Austin, Shirley Robinson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Janice Smith of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; son, Deryl Parker of Arnett, Okla.; sisters, Evelyn Smith of Boise City, Okla., and Elsie Smith of Woodward, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Susan Ramos
Susan Ramos, 25, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at the Hospice House.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home
She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Julius Marquez, Kevin Lujan and Antonio Ramos, all of Odessa; mother, Keira Ramos of Odessa; brothers, Jose Ramos and Jovany Soto, both of Odessa; and sister, Keira Lee Ramos of Odessa.

Juan Saenz
STANTON — Juan Saenz, 75, of Stanton, a retired maintainer operator for Martin County Road and Bridge Department, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at his residence
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
He was born in Weslaco. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Tello of Midland and Robert Saenz of Stanton; daughters, Susannah Cazares and Sandra Salcido, both of Stanton, Michelle Singleterry of Midland and Brenda Singleterry of Dallas; sisters, Celia Clark of Freer and Elia Rodriguez of Caldwell; brothers, Adan Saenz and Roy Saenz, both of Stanton; and 13 grandchildren.

BIG SPRING — William E. Satterwhite, 63, of Odessa, an employee for Dealers Electric Supply, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at an Odessa hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Malcolm Tyree officiating. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Big Spring.
He was born in San Angelo. He served in the Navy.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Cleta Satterwhite of Odessa; son, David Howard of San Angelo; stepsons, Robert Smith of Big Spring and Terry Smith of Brownfield; mother, Mildred Hatfield of San Angelo; sisters, Annette Garcia and Beth Gardenia, both of El Paso and Kathlene Nelson of San Angelo; brother, Joe Hatfield of San Angelo; and four grandchildren.

COLORADO CITY — John Shults, 54, of Loraine, a Licensed Vocational Nurse, died Thursday, June 8, 2004, at a Midland Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Elliott officiating. Burial will be at Colorado City cemetery. Arrangements are by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa. He served in the Army and was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Dollie Shults of Loraine; daughters, Lora Shults of Loraine, Angelia Shults of Wichita, Kan., and Recia Leann Shults of Del.; sons, Jay Shults of Loraine and Mathew Shults of Del.; mother, Recia Shults of Loraine; sister, Recia Capps of Loraine; brothers, James Shults of La., and Larry Shults of Color; and one grandchild.

SEMINOLE — Betty Lee Thompson, 93, of Seminole, a retired nurse, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Memorial Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Westside Church of Christ with Leo Copeland and Jason Moore officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Paradise, Texas.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Barry Thompson of Odessa; daughters, Vicky Clark and Kathy Davis, both of Seminole; sister, Lannie McCleskey of Seminole; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
