ODESSA — Jesse Carrasco Jr., 60, of Odessa, a mailman for the Ector County Independent School District, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Eucker officiating. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Midland. He was a Navy veteran and was honorably discharged.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eva Carrasco of Odessa; daughter, Vanessa Carrasco of Plano, Veronica Juarez of Lubbock and Angielque Carrasco of Odessa; mother, Mary Castillo of Dale; and sister, Anna Gutierrez of Dale.

James Cox
GRANBURY — James Cox, 85, of Granbury, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Granbury.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury. Arrangements are by Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
He was born in Center Township, Ind.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Wanda Cox of Grandbury; daughter, Shirley Brunett of Odessa; sons, Glen Cox of Denver and Jimmy Cox of Texarkana; sister, Stella Lamb of Vandella, Ill.; brother, Gerdus Cox of Titusville, Fla.; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Janice Fuller
COLORADO CITY — Janice “Mary” Fuller, 75, of Colorado City, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Westbrook cemetery with the Rev. Mike Foster officiating. Arrangements are by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born in Mitchell County.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Billie Hill of Colorado City, Mary Louise Bradley Cox of Kingsman, Ariz., and Ann Bradley of Loraine; sister, Florene Ward of Colorado City; brother, Tom Pilkington of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Isauro Lopez
FORT STOCKTON —lsauro Escamilla “Jimmy” Lopez, 82 of Fort Stockton, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Stockton. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Del Rio and was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Merced C. Lopez of Fort Stockton; two sons, Sonny Lopez and Carlos Lopez, both of Fort Stockton; daughter, Monica L. Guzman of Fort Stockton; brother, Ramiro Lopez of Fort Stockton; sister, Concha Escamilla of Ozona; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

MONAHANS — Anna Ruth Pendland, 63, of Monahans, a manager of a dry cleaners business, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/ Jackie Harkey of Monahans.
SURVIVORS: Son, Phillip Noonkester of Bastrop; daughter, Melissa Taylor of Monahans; and two grandchildren.

MARFA — Mary S. Quiroz, 74 of Marfa, a cook, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Home Hospice House.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today in Merced cemetery in Marfa with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Marfa and was a Christian Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Viola Quiroz of Odessa; brother, Francisco Quiroz of Odessa, sister, Cruz McClure of Odessa; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

CRANE — Hazel Groce, 85, formerly of Midland, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Humble.
Services are Pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

BALMORHEA — Marine Corps Pvt. Jesse Mendoza, 20, of Balmorhea, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Marine Corps Services Support School at 29 Palms, Calif.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Teresa Bradley
KERMIT — Teresa Renee Bradley, 32, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Belvue Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
She was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Samuel Garcia of Kermit; sons, Jacob Garcia and Angel Rodriguez, both of Kermit; daughter, Myra Lisa Garcia of Mentone; sister, Sheila Bradley of Lake Charles, La.; father and stepmother, Jerry and Carla Bradley of San Angelo; mother and stepfather, Kathryn and Richard Putnam of Mentone; grandparents, Don and Lee Creager of Kermit and Morris and Zana Bradley of Round Rock.

ODESSA — Roy Edward Brewer Sr., 74, of Odessa, owner of a used car dealership, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
No services have been scheduled. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Talledega, Ala.
SURVIVOR: Wife, Letricia Brewer of Odessa.

CRANE ¾ Don L. Chaney, 89, of Crane, a retired grocer, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will be at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Bridgeport, Ill., and moved to Crane in 1936. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Larry Chaney of Andrews and Michael Chaney of Hobbs, N.M.; daughter, Carrie Chaney of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Raymond Chaney of Oceanside, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard Maulsby
LOMA DEL NORTE — Richard Elwood Maulsby, 84, of Loma del Norte, retired owner of Hobbs International, Inc., died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Alpine Valley Care Center.
A private memorial service will be held at later date with the Rev. Lewis Gwyn officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Oakland, Calif. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

ODESSA — John Patrick Watson, 75, of Odessa, a retired shop foreman in the oilfield, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Hospice House.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating, Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Rock Port, Ind. He was veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Emelisa R. Watson of Odessa; sons, Jerry Roberts and Mike Nunez, both of Odessa; daughters, Janice Roberts of Midwest City, Okla., Anita Nunez of Odessa and Celeste Nunez of Lake Side, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
