ODESSA - Billy C. Flowers, 49, of Odessa, a roughneck and a plumber, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Tapley officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Flowers of Odessa; son, Billy Ray Wells of Odessa; mother, Roberta Bradley of Fort Worth; brother, Ray Wayne Flowers of Fort Worth; and sister, Charlotte Flowers Hokett of Fort Worth.

Maude Justice
ODESSA - Maude Lee Justice, 94, of Odessa, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Seabury Nursing Center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Northside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Latham, Miss. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Son, Gene Justice of Odessa; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

‘'Pat' Buford Patterson
ODESSA - 'Pat' Buford Freelon Patterson, 78, of Odessa, a former manager in the body shop at Sloan Brothers Buick, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at his residence in Odessa.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Doug Herget officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Chester County, Tenn., and moved to Odessa in 1955 from Tennessee. He was Protestant. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Patterson of Odessa; sons, Byron F. Patterson of Gardendale; and Donald L. Patterson of Venus; daughter, Deborah K. Goldie of Spicewood; brothers, Milburn ‘Jim' of Decater, Ala., Hulon Patterson, of Jackson, Tenn.; Frank Patterson of Decater, Miss.; sisters, Bonnie Howard of Chappel Hill, Tenn; and Thelma Justice of Dothan, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

GEORGETOWN - Patricia L. Strother, 68, of Georgetown, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, in Georgetown.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Philips United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home.

BARTLESVILLE - Ethel Irene Walker, 91, of Bartlesville, formerly of Odessa, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Medicalodge of Dewey.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements by Stumpff Funeral Home.
She was former resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Kenneth Walker of Bartlesville, Okla., and Robert Franklin Walker of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Andres Garcia Sr.
ODESSA - Andres Garcia Sr., 78, of Odessa, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

Benjamin Garms, Jr.
LOCKER — Benjamin Dewey “Pup” Garms Jr., 72, of Gardendale, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at his home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Locker cemetery, in Locker, located 10 miles from San Saba, TX. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Eola and moved to Odessa in 1956. He was a truck driver for Merchant Motor Lines and a deacon at the Baptist church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mollie Marie Benner Garms of Odessa; sons, Roger Garms of Columbus, Ga.; Bennie Garms of Kerrville; and Barry Garms of Odessa; daughter, Marsha Perkins of Kerrville; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Lucinda Thompson
ODESSA — Lucinda Sue Thompson, 67, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, in Hawley.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Denison. She was a bookkeeper for Newman’s Package Shop in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ricky Thompson, of Hawley; Tommy Thompson, of Buffalo Gap; Terry Thompson, of Hawley; Randy Thompson, of Odessa; and Curtis Thompson, of Gardendale; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA — Jerry Wheeler, 53, of Odessa, died Friday, May 7, 2004 in his home.

ODESSA — Billy Austin Cherry, 77, of Burnet, retired owner and operator of Pinner Carpet Co. in Odessa, died May 4, 2004, at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Nocona and was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Evelyn Cherry of Burnet; sister, Wilma Jones of Odessa; and brother, J.D. “Joe” Pinner of Odessa.

MEGARGEL — Lola M. Jenkins, 92, of Odessa, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Megargel cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in West, Texas, and came to Odessa in 2002 from Stanton. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, C.K. Jenkins of Odessa and Ronnie Jenkins of Abilene; daughters, Janette Frank of Kaizer, Ore. and Jackie Jenkins of Houston; sister, Bernice Witt of West; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

ROSWELL, N.M. — Daniel B. Luna Sr. 83, of Dexter, N.M., Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Juan Montoya officiating. Burial will be at South Park cemetery in Roswell. Arrangements are by Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory of Roswell.
He was born in Imperial and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Eladio Luna of Carlsbad, N.M., Daniel Luna Jr. and Manuel Luna, both of Odessa, and Javier Luna of Dexter; daughters, Socorro Pineda of Roswell, Imelda Myers and Isela Green, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Elisa Velasco of Dexter and Silvia Legrand of Fayetteville, Ark.; brothers, Frank Luna of Lake Arthur, N.M., and Manuel Luna of McCamey; sisters, Tiburcia Alvarado of McCamey and Elisa Rios of Odessa; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

HOUSTON — Kevin “Pat” O’Neill, 48, of Houston died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Humble with the Revs. Rodney Bryant and Chris Reed officiating. Arrangements are by South Houston Memorial Funeral Home of Houston.
He was born in Salt Lake City and was a former resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Kathy O’Neill of Houston; son, Jordan O’Neill of Houston; parents, R.C. and Gwen O’Neill of Wimberly; sisters, Kerry Pendergrass of Lubbock, Seana Stidham of Amarillo and Erin O’Neill of Palo Pinto.
