ODESSA - Robert K. Bennett, 64, of Odessa died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
He was born in Carnegie, Okla. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Kyle Bennett, stationed in Pearl Harbor, and Kelly Bennett of Odessa; mother, Mildred McKeel of Lubbock; sister, Phyllis Aegerter of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.

ODESSA - Kennie Blain, 74, of Odessa, a tax auditor, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Manor Park in Midland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Jones officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in McCamey. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Carol Ann Blain Jones of Canon City, Colo., and Nancy Sharon Blain Day of Midland; brothers, C.D. Cline and Dawsie Cline, both of Hobbs, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Federico Contreras
PECOS - Federico 'Lico' Contreras, 62, of Pecos, a retired railroad worker, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements are by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
He was born in Banderas, Mexico, and was a lifetime resident of Pecos. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Julia M. Contreras of Pecos; sons, Javier Contreras, Sam Contreras and Freddy Contreras, all of Pecos; daughters, Angie Barreno of Pecos and Isabel Florez of Greenwood; mother, Pilar Contreras of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Angel Contreras of San Jose, Calif., Inez Contreras of Toyah, Manuel Contreras of Merced, Calif., Victor Contreras of San Jose, Calif., and Willie Contreras of Levelland; sisters, Delfina Almanza of Merced, Calif., Elvira Gongora of White Face, Texas, Maria Erives of El Paso, Mary Fuentes of Pecos and Elvia Adame of San Jose, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

LORAINE - Jewel Francis, 83, of Midland, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Midland.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Loraine cemetery. Arrangements are by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
She was born in Loraine.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cathy Martell of Colorado; son, Glenn Brown of Midland; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

PADUCAH - Joyce Ann Hancock, 56, of Paducah, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Garden of Memories cemetery. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home.
She was born in Paducah.

PECOS - Jesus 'Jesse' Villesca, 62, of Pecos, a retired teacher, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Reeves County Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church with Manny Munoz officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Davis and was a longtime resident of Pecos. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Katie Villesca of Pecos; daughters, Jerra Dianna Villesca of New York, N.Y., and Joanna Natividad of Killeen.

C.J. Whatley
ODESSA - C.J. Whatley, 70, of Odessa, a retired insurance salesman for Western Southern Life Insurance Co., died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Carlsbad, N.M.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Merline Whatley of Odessa; daughters, Gayla Threatt and Glenna Jones, both of Odessa; mother, Lois Jones of Albuquerque, N.M.; half brother, Billy Whatley of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

NOCONA — Conard Lee “Buster” Biter, 90, of Nocona, a retired oilfield driller from Tesoro Oil Company, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, in Nocona.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Berg officiating. Burial will be at the Nocona cemetery. Arrangements are by Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
He was born in Nocona. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was Methodist.
