ODESSA - Melvin Gordon Korthals, 78, of Odessa, owner of a salvage business, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at the Home Hospice House.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the V.F.W. Hall, Post 4372 with Rev. Dick Brown and Al Bullard officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Beaver City, Okla. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sharon Roland of Fresno, Calif., Carol Savoie and Vickie Korthals, both of Odessa, Terry Hamilton of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers, Roy Frost of Fort Worth, Herman Korthals of Shodo, Okla., Charles Korthals of Kent, Lester Korthals of Decatur, Ill., Gene Leisure of Lubbock, Harry Leisure of Pacific Junction, Iowa, Larry Leisure and Jerry Leisure, both of Lake Tawawakanee, Burl Landers of Branson, Mo.; sister, Juanita Berg of Mesquite; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pete Lisle
OLNEY - Pete Lisle, 87, of Olney, former owner of Rotary Sales and Repair, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, in Olney Hamilton Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Street Church of Christ with Minister Scotte Clark and Sam Spurlock officiating. Burial will be at the Restland cemetery. Arrangements are by Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
He was born in Newcastle, Texas. He was a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Alene Lisle of Olney; sons, Josh Lisle of Odessa and Roland Lisle of Olney; daughter, April Stowe of Olney; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Toynette Martin
ODESSA - Toynette Cathleen Herring Martin, 33, of Odessa, a homemaker and veterinary assistant, died Monday, March 29, 2004, in Odessa.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Arlington. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Todd Martin of Odessa; daughters, Terrin Herring and Tayler Freitag, both of Odessa; parents, Brigette and Cliff Thomas of Odessa; brother, Brian Matthews of Florida; sister, Tammy Zieschang of Odessa; and grandparents, Charles and Mozelle Herring of Big Spring.

Paul McCollum
ODESSA - Judge Paul McCollum, 79, of Odessa, former Senior Justice, 8th Court of Appeals, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Comanche. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Alice Holland McCollum of Odessa; daughter, Kathleen M. McCulloch of Odessa; son, Rector Choc McCollum of Plano; and two grandchildren.

Larry McCowin Jr.
ODESSA - Larry L. McCowin Jr., 49, of Odessa, a mechanic for the City of Odessa, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Elwood City, Pa. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Gerry McCowin of Odessa; parents, Larry McCowin Sr. and Margaret McCowin of Odessa; brothers, Frank McCowin of Harmony, Pa., and Stan McCowin of Granbury; and sister, Debbie Pulley of Midland.

Angel Navarrette
MONAHANS - Angel Williams Navarrette, infant son of Cheno and Sonya Navarrette of Monahans, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Craig Rhoton officiating. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
SURVIVORS: Parents; brothers, Corbie Navarrette and Buddy Navarrette, both of Monahans; grandparents, Alex Navarrette of Van Horn, Dolores Navarrette and C.L. and Jeannie Williams, all of Monahans; great-grandparents, Maria Montez of Imperial and Lanova Skidmore.

J.F. Revier
TOW - J.F. 'Pete' Revier, 87, of Tow, a retired electrician, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Fredericksburg.
Services were held March 29 at Harwood Baptist Church in Harwood. Burial was at the Harwood Masonic cemetery. Memorial services were held March 30 at Tow Baptist Church in Tow. Arrangements were by Beckmann Funeral Home.
He was born in Hillsboro.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Hope Hitt Revier of Tow; son, Harley Revier of San Antonio; daughter, Sondra Williams of Colorado City; stepdaughter, Nancy Swords of Richardson; stepsons, Gary Robinson of Tow and Delton Robinson of Georgetown; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Ted Fleming
BOGATA — Ted K. Fleming, 76, of Tyler, a retired Odessa police officer, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, in Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Bogata Church of Christ with Benny Cogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogata cemetery. Arrangements are by Wood Funeral Home.
He was born in Red River County. He was a former Odessan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Billie Fleming of Tyler; sons, Steve Fleming of Tyler and Larry Fleming of Kyle; sister, Mary East of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Manuel Valenzuela
ALPINE — Manuel T. Valenzuela, 69, of Alpine, died Friday, March 19, 2004, in Lubbock.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Alpine. He was Catholic.
