PECOS — Staci Lynn Wheeless, 38, of Pecos, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Woody Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was a longtime resident of Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Bailey and Patsy Wheeless of Pecos; and sister, Tobi Stewart of Fredericksberg.

ODESSA — Esther Mae Bean, 82, of Odessa, died Friday, June 11, 2004, at her residence.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Erasmo Brito
ODESSA — Erasmo V. Brito, 71, of Odessa, died Friday, June 11, 2004, at his residence.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Harrold Harris
RICHARDSON — Harrold Bell Harris, 65, of Richardson, died Thursday, July 1, 2004 in Richardson.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapell in Muleshoe with Kerry Winders officiating.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Melissa Smith of Lazbuddie; son, Danny Harris of Kermit; sister Loray Davis of Garland; five grandchildren.

Barbara Templin
ODESSA — Barbara Templin, 67, of Odessa, a cashier at H-E-B, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery.
Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Leslie Templin of Grand Prairie, Ricky Templin of Phoenix, Ariz,; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Martha Barraza
ODESSA — Martha Barraza, 51, of Odessa, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Juan Ramos
ODESSA — Juan Ernesto Ramos, 53, of Odessa, a sandblaster and a painter, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at his residence.
Mass will be 9 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Josephine Ramos of Odessa; sons, Joey Ramos of Abilene, Richard Ramos, Adrian Ramos and Efrain Ramos, all of Odessa; brother, Bonifacio Jaquez of Midland; sisters, Elida Carrasco and Elma Ramos, both of Odessa, and Ana Elia Ramos of Crane; three grandchildren.

Margret Walton
MESQUITE — Margret Walton, 59, of Mesquite, formerly of Odessa, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at a Mesquite hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Salvation Army Chapel in Odessa with Maj. Robert Winters officiating. Arrangements were by Laurel Oaks Funeral Home of Mesquite.
She was born in Roscoe and recently moved to Mesquite from Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sisters, Punkin Kimbrough of Odessa, Kathy Walton of Farmington, N.M., Bonnie Kiser of Mesquite and Winona Miller of Hobbs, N.M.; and brother, Dewey Walton of Woodland, Calif.

Robert McKinney
ODESSA — Robert McKinney, 62, of Odessa, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at Deering Nursing Home.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Richard Chavez
PECOS - Richard Chavez, 47, of Pecos, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Noemi Chavez of Lubbock; son, David Chavez of Pecos; daughters, Michelle Chavez, Sydney Chavez of Pecos and Patricia Avalos and Teresa Garza, both of Lubbock; brother, Hector Chavez of Lubbock; sisters, Lou Aldarete and Patricia Chavez, both of Lubbock and Marget Perez, Rose Mary Galindo and Dolores Munoz, all of Pecos; and seven grandchildren.

Jefferson Davis
PECOS - Jefferson Will Davis, 91, of Pecos, a retired paint contractor, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at Reeves County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer cemetery with J.E. McCormick officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos. He served in the Army and he was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph Garrett
BIG SPRING - Joseph Nelson 'Haley' Garrett, 97, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in Big Spring.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Midland.
He was born in Midland. He served in the Army.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Paul Garrett of Big Spring; and sisters, Louise Dunlap and Margaret Cody, both of Big Spring, Annie Mae Harris of El Paso and Geraldine Jessup of Poughquag, N.Y.

Shirley McGuire
STAMFORD - Shirley Louise McGuire, 74, of The Colony, a retired music teacher for Ector County Independent School District, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, in Plano.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Dalton and Son Funeral Home.
She was born in Waxahachie.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Emily Palmer and Janet Wellman; brother, Tom Oglesby; and five grandchildren.

Maria Landa

ODESSA — Rosary for Maria T. Landa, 77, of Odessa will be said at 7 p.m. Monday, March 15, 1999, at the Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Landa died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at her residence. She was born Sept. 21, 1921, in McAllen, Texas. She married Cornelio Landa Sept. 13, 1936, in San Juan, Texas. He died Sept. 16, 1990.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Society Association.

She is survived by her sons, Pedro T. Landa of Hutchinson, Kan. and Cornelio Landa Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Juanita Macias of Dodge City, Kan. and her husband, Chavello, Evangelina Salas of Denver and her husband, Ruben, Lucinda Martinez of Odessa and her husband, Antonio, Lucia Vasquez of Odessa and her husband, Charlie, Silvia Romo of Hugoton, Kan., and her husband, Antonio; 30 grandchildren, 35-great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Pedro Landa Jr., Cornelio Landa III, Phillip Landa, Charlie Vasquez Jr., Rebecca Trujillo and Lucinda Martinez.

Arrangements made by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Pat Rountree

ANDREWS — Funeral services for Pat Rountree, 70, of Andrews, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 1999, in the McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Russell, pastor of Turkey Creek Baptist Church at Linden, Texas. Burial will follow the service in the Andrews West cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Pat died Friday, March 12, 1999, in Permian General Hospital.

He was born June 20, 1928,

in Marietta, Texas. Pat married Colleene Rumsey on March 2, 1951, in Pittsburg, Texas. Pat and Colleene moved to Andrews in 1976 from Eunice, N.M. Pat worked for Phillips for several years as a surveyor and production clerk. He retired in 1985. Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church and Philresters Club of Andrews. He loved children, woodworking and was an avid golfer.

Casket bearers will be Jimmy Tate, Charles Wayne Russell, John David Russell, Mark Rountree, Raymond Ryan and Jim Bruce.

Survivors include his wife, Colleene; a son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Kathy Rountree of Odessa; brothers, Curt of Lone Star, Texas, and Frank of Little Rock, Ark., Gaynor of Pittsburg, Texas, and Rex of Sulphur Springs, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Joan Gunter of Daingerfield, Texas, Kathryn Conley of Linden, Texas, Joyce Ryan of Pittsburg, Texas, and Linda Monts, also of Pittsburg, Texas.

Pat had one grandson, Kyler Rountree of Odessa, numerous nieces and nephews and special family friends, Jim, Jacia, Ricky and Cassie Bintz of Andrews.
