PECOS — Virlee Terry, 72, of Pecos, a school cafeteria employee, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Alliance Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with R.L. Pendleton and Fred Domingues officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Wharton.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Larry Terry of Austin and David Terry, Kenneth Terry and Willie Ray Terry, all of Pecos; daughters, Shirley Coleman of Austin and Linda Terry of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, R.L. Pendleton of Bakersville, Calif.; sisters, Jimmie Pendleton Hale of Phoenix, Ariz., and Audrey L. Duke of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Benita Baeza
KERMIT — Benita Vasquez Baeza, 75, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Kermit Healthcare Center.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Family Services Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Rudy Lacerno officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Santiago Baeza of Kermit; daughters, Balbina Morales of Odessa and Irma Bonilla, Luz Baeza and Juana Madrid, all of Kermit; brothers, Alberto Vasquez and Juan de Dios Vasquez; sisters, Consuelo Acosta, Margarita Montoya and Cruz Salazar, all of Andrews; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pilar Contreras
PECOS — Pilar J. Contreras, 66, of Pecos, a butcher, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at her residence.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria “Jimmie” Contreras of Pecos; sons, Amando Contreras of Midland, Ruben Contreras, Pilar “Junja” Contreras Jr. and Hector Contreras, all of Pecos, and Albert Contreras of Abilene; daughters, Diana Ortega of Pecos, Lori Natividad of Wickett and Rosa Nunez of Monahans; brother, Marcos Contreras of Austin; sisters, Alicia Carrasco and Lupe Carrasco, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Crissy Meza of Pecos; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

MONAHANS — Tommy Lee Holt, 69, of Midland, an employee for the General Land Office of Texas, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in Houston.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Box officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Services/ Jackie Harkey.
He was born in Big Spring.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jeannette Holt of Midland; son, James Holt of College Station; daughter, Kimberly Rhodes of Houston; mother, Ethel Mae Holt of San Angelo; sisters, Mary Ann Blake of San Angelo and Brenda Bjorlie of Pekin, N.D.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

LOCKHART — Clara Earlene Pittman, 59, of Lockhart, died Saturday, July 10, 2004.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Marks United Methodist Church with the Rev. Foster Roberts officiating. Burial was at Hook cemetery. Arrangements are by Eeds Funeral Home.
She was born in Austin.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Ola L. Spencer of Lockhart; daughter, Felicia Ross of Odessa; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was born in Mexico. She was a Catholic.

She was born in Quanah. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Shirley Petty of Fort Stockton and Mary Sullivan of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Manuel S. Torres Sr., 71, of Odessa, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.

He served in the Army and was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Manuel Torres Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Irma Gomez, Estella Ramirez, Winco Olivas, Juanita Dominguez, JoAnn Mesa, Anna Galindo, Yolanda Andrade and Mayna Torres, all of Odessa; brothers, Jesus Torres of Presidio and Jose “Joe” Torres and Oscar Torres, both of Odessa; sisters, Anita Chavez of Odessa, Elidia Mitchell of Pecos and Elisa Fierro of Alpine; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS — Jack Williams, 90, of Andrews, a retired engineer for Northern Natural Gas, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Marshall Manor Hospice House in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Andrews West cemetery with Danny Henderson officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Belvedere, Kan.
He served in the Army and was a Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jack Williams of Liberty City; daughters, Janice Henderson of Marshall and Trena Sommers of Andrews; sister, Genevieve Dennis of Greensburg, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
