ODESSA -- Sabina Huertas Abila, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Zepeda officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Grandfalls.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Florencio Abila of Monahans; sons, Raul Abila of Monahans, Lupe Abila, Robert Abila, Ismael Abila, Florencio Abila Jr. and Isreal Abila, all of Odessa, Ruben Abila of Grandfalls; daughters, Romona Riley and Socorro Estrada, both of Odessa, Brenda Zapata of Midland, Manuela "MaeSantiago of Odessa; brothers, Jose Huertas of Grandfalls, Emilio Huertas of Fort Stockton; sisters, Celia Polanco of Monahans, Bertha Hermosilla of Odessa, Maria Aguilar of Odessa, Aida Acosta of Irving; 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

ARLINGTON -- Edith Lyle Blount, 85, of Arlington, a retired clerk with the Texas and Pacific Railroad, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Valley Mills and was a longtime resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Son, Bryan Blount of Arlington; daughter, Nancy Doyle of El Dorado; brother, Andrew Bailey Hinton of Odessa; and sister, Helen Simmonds of Austin.

Jack English

MCCAMEY -- Jack L. English Sr., 62, of McCamey, a retired employee of the Texas Highway Department, died Monday, April 20, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Creech officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.

He was born in Brownwood and moved to McCamey 50 years ago.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rebecca English of McCamey, Sheri English of Bryan; son, Jack L. English Jr. of Houston; sister, Kay English Hopper of McCamey; and one granddaughter.

Leona Greenlee

BRECKENRIDGE -- Leona Patterson Greenlee, 93, of Breckenridge, a retired employee of the Breckenridge Independent School District, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, at Stephen's Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Elliot Street Church of Christ with Jim Cox officiating. Burial will be at Wayland cemetery. Arrangements by Melton Funeral Home.

She was born in San Saba County.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Joan Green of Breckenridge, Barbara McHargue of Houston; sons, Darrell Greenlee of Fort Worth, Charles Greenlee of Abilene, James Greenlee of Houston, Robert Greenlee of Dallas; sister, Jewell Lippard of Woodward, Okla; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Doris Kiphart

ODESSA -- Doris Kathleen Kiphart, 72, of Odessa, a retired certified public accountant, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Havre, Mont. She was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Kenneth Roy Kiphart Sr. of Odessa; sons, Patrick Kelley and Casey W. Kelley, both of Houston; daughters, Meridith A. Kelley Bateman and Barbara Kelly Myers, both of Oklahoma City; stepson, Kenneth Ray Kiphart Jr. of Odessa; brother, Bud Smith of Kansas City, Kan.; mother, Ila Lee Kiphart of Odessa; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Willie Porter

AUSTIN -- Willie Porter, 57, of Austin, a caddie, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, in Austin.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill. Arrangements by Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Fuernal Home.

He was born in Lubbock and moved to Austin in 1965 from the Midland/Odessa area.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Arthur Porter of Temple and Earl Sledge of Austin.

Forrest Barnett

FORT STOCKTON -- Forrest G. Barnett, 74, of Fort Stockton, a retired oil and gas technician with the Texas Railroad Commission, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Miles officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born in Merkel, and he was an World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was a Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ethel Barnett of Fort Stockton; sons, Thomas Barnett of Moreno Valley, Calif. and Steven Alan Barnett of Odessa; daughter, Mary Katherine Baker of Crane; and ten grandchildren.

She was born in Delta County and she lived in Lubbock and Austin before becoming a resident of Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Billie Jane Thompson of Seminole; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

VAN HORN -- Ernesto Rocha, 60, of Van Horn, a heavy-machinery operator, died Thursday, April 9, 1998, in California.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will be at Van Horn cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Bavicoda, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a lifetime resident of Van Horn. He was Catholic.
