Betty Lou Lambert

ODESSA Betty Lou Lambert, 71, of Waco formerly of Odessa, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004, in Waco.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and cemetery with Rev. Russell Lambert and Rev. Bill Kemp officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time.
Betty was born December 31, 1932, in Quanah, TX. She moved to Andrews, TX, and married W. L. “Bud” Lambert on February 3, 1950; he preceded her in death on January 5, 1991. She attended Westover Baptist Church in Odessa and Victory Temple in Waco.
She is survived by her children; James E. Lambert of Rockport, Jim W. Lambert of Waco, and William S. Lambert and Rachell Dalton of Odessa. Brothers are J. W. Hughes of Andrews, Don Hughes of San Angelo, Glenn Hughes of Big Spring, and Tom Hughes of College Station. She also has eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Bellmead Funeral Home.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Barbara Ann Smith

Odessa - Barbara Ann Smith, age 58, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at her residence in Odessa.
She was born April 12, 1946. She was a truck driver and the owner of a pitbull dog kennel for the past ten years.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Cornwell of Odessa; her daughters, Freda Daniels and Leann Drake, both of Odessa; and Tammy Valdez of Portland, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Bobby Howard ‘Bob’ Gibson

Odessa - Bob Gibson, age 68, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born April 19, 1936, to J.E. and Fannie Mae Gibson in Marlow, Okla. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged.
He married Joann Jarrett on Jan. 24, 1970, in Old Mexico. He was a Methodist and was a tire salesman before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Odessa, and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. and Fannie Gibson; one brother, William Jessie Gibson; and one sister, Billie Jane Gibson.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Gibson of Odessa; sons, Wesley Senn and Ronald Senn, both of Odessa, and Dr. Bruce Graves of Cortez, Colo.; daughters, Jo Anna Joy Graves of Cortez, Colo., and Melinda Senn of Odessa; sisters, Ruth Lowery of Odessa, and Zula Pike of Clifton, Colo.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Francisco Escalera officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to Persideo Mission in OJ, Mexico, a mission of First United Methodist Church, in lieu of flowers.
Special thanks go to Dr. Naidu; and son, Dr. Raja; the Naidu Clinic; and to the Hospice House.

Carol Marie Sanders Livingston

Marfa - Carol Marie Sanders Livingston, a Christian, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, and a friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital, after suffering a stroke.
Carol was born on April 7, 1944, to Charles and Vivian Sanders, in Talihina, Okla. She was happily married to Mike Livingston for 38 years.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; and brother, Darrell.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Livingston, and their children, K.J. Vallies and husband, Gary, of Mechanicsville, Va., Shelly Nichols and husband, Morgan, of Abilene, and Melissa Dominguez and husband, Albert, Wyck Livingston and wife, and Marla, Sharon Livingston, and Mike Miranda, all of Marfa; her brother, Richard Sanders and wife, Debbie, of Ft. Stockton; her sister, Brenda Tyler from Springfield, Mo.; her uncle and friend, Wayne Roberts and wife, Edith; her aunt, Pat Deathridge of Oklahoma; and four nephews, and many wonderful friends.
She found great joy in her twelve grandkids, Evan, Daniel, Chase, Brandon, Levi, Kaylee, Dustyn, Gavin, Coy, Jayden, Kendall, and Hagan. They will miss her loving spirit dearly.
She was a member of Saint Paul Episcopal Church of Marfa. She was active in the ESL program, the Thursday Christian Book study group, Saint Paul’s needlework missions, that made hats and scarves for North Sea sailors. She enjoyed working in her yard and her passions included playing with her grandchildren, reading, working puzzles, and many types of crafts.
A special word of gratitude for the loving care is given to Dr. Leshnower, his nurse, Penny, and the staff at ICU Medical Center Hospital.
Carol’s gentle spirit and loving heart will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the Marfa Funeral Home.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Saint Paul Episcopal Church in Marfa. Burial will follow at the Marfa cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Isenhower, Dale Isenhower, John David Isenhower, Tommy Cockrell, Earl Albrecht, Bill Suddeth, Bob Bagley and Dave Howard.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Presidio County Barn Association, P. O. Box 1121, Marfa, Tx., 79843; the Marfa Library, Marfa, Tx., 79843; or the Saint Paul Episcopal Church, Marfa, Tx., 79843.

Flavio Gutierrez

Odessa - Flavio Gutierrez, 48, a longtime resident of Odessa, left this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005.
Flavio was born May 7, 1957, in La Flor, Durango, Mexico, to Francisco and Felicita Gutierrez. He married Maria Rodriguez on May 17, 1981. They were married for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his father in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Odessa; three children, Jasmine and David Gutierrez, both of Odessa, and Larry White of Hobbs, N.M.; six brothers; two sisters; several nephews; nieces; and a large extended family.
Flavio was a loving husband and Father, a great man who everyone looked up to. In his lessons and memory will remain in the hearts of those that love him. He was our hero, our everything. Your love was one in a million.
A wake is scheduled at 6 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home.
Church services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Latter Rain Worship Center. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.

Vera M. McMinn

Pampa - Vera M. McMinn, 95, of Odessa, died Feb. 6, 2005, in Odessa.
The family will receive friends at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
She was born Feb. 12, 1909, in Morgan Mills. She married Clarence E. McMinn on May 5, 1928, in Crowell. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1936, moving to live with her daughter in Odessa in 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served the Lord in many capacities. She taught Sunday School for many years, as well as serving as president and state officer for WMU. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and they loved her. She spent her last days always reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, three brothers and three sisters.
Her survivors include: one daughter, Berna McMinn May and husband, John Edd, of Odessa; one son, Donald McMinn and wife, Jackie, of Pampa; two granddaughters, Mrs. LaRue Keaton of Arlington, and Mrs. Donna Miller of Pampa; one grandson, James McMinn of Pampa; three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice House, 903 Sam Houston, Odessa, Tx., 79761.

Gloria June Coker Petterson

Odessa - Gloria June Coker Petterson, of Midland, passed away Monday, February 7, 2005, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Gloria June was born November 26, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas, to Lonnie Arlis Coker and Evlyn Maxine Archer. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1960 and attended Texas Tech University graduating in 1964. Gloria studied one year in Sweden at the University of Stockholm. She married Paul Petterson on September 16, 1967, in Big Spring. Gloria was the assistant director of child development at First Baptist Church in Odessa. She had been the pastor’s secretary for Dr. H. Bailey Stone during his affiliation with First Baptist Church of Odessa and church secretary at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas. Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland and served as a Sunday School teacher for 30 years for preschool and four year old departments at various Baptist churches. Gloria was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong Christian woman with an unwavering faith in God. It was her faith in God and her family that helped her fight her courageous battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her father Lonnie Coker.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Petterson of Midland; one daughter, Dane Shoffner and husband, Philip, of Euless; two sons, Cort Petterson and wife, Marci, of Little Elm; Bruin Petterson and his fiance, Jennifer Nease, of Odessa; her mother, Evlyn Coker of Big Spring; one sister, Londa Henry and husband, Wayne, of Kingsland; and two grandsons, Curan Petterson and Jeron Petterson, both of Little Elm; a niece Shawn Ashlock and husband, Dr. Larry Ashlock; and nephews Greg Henry and Kurt Henry.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Odessa, with Dr. H. Bailey Stone, Dr. Gary Dyer and the Rev. Byron McWilliams officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
The family suggest memorials be given to the Child Development Center of First Baptist Church, 709 Lee Ave., Odessa, Tx., 79761.

Lynda Karen Clayton Price

CRANE - Lynda Karen Clayton Price, 62, of Crane, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Hospice House in Odessa, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Romoland, Calif., on Nov. 16, 1942, to Elbert C. and Virginia Carter Clayton. With her parents, she came to Crane at the age of four. She attended the schools at Crane and then received her Degree in cosmetology at Aladdin Academy.
Karen was known for her talents in the culinary arts of special cakes and catering. Her hobbies were oil paintings and needlework.
She married Jesse Oliver Price on March 14, 1964, in Crane.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Clayton.
Survivors include her husband, Jess Price of Crane; her son, Barry Price and his wife, Susan, of Eunice, N.M.; a daughter, Anissa Price of Crane; her mother, Virginia Clayton of Crane; a sister, Susan Sanders and her husband, Ray, of Odessa; three grandchildren, Teresa Ellison and husband, Chad, of Eunice, N.M., Brandy Kennedy of Andrews, and Stacy Gray of Odessa; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Ellison and Ashtyn Ellison, both of Eunice, N.M.; a special niece, Kara Harkins and her husband, Brantley, of Odessa; and a great-niece, Kailee Harkins of Odessa.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Crane with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Odessa at Ninth and Sam Houston.

Robert Clifford ‘Bob’ Richardson, Jr.

LUBBOCK - Robert Clifford “Bob” Richardson, Jr., 75, of Lubbock went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 5, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Quaker Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Ellmore Johnson, Dr. David Langford and Dr. Tom Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Bob was born on November 7, 1929 in San Angelo, TX to the late Irma Rose (Mann) and Robert Clifford Richardson. He was one of four children. Bob graduated from Lake View High School in 1948. He married Ruth Juanell “Nell” Jay on April 30, 1948. Bob graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1952 where he was inducted into the athletic “Hall of Honor” in November 2003. He began his professional career in Odessa Public Schools in 1952, retiring in 1991 with 39 years being a teacher, coach, counselor and principal. He was a member of the Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years.
Bob loved his family, his country, but more than anything, he loved his God and lived his life for Him. One of his greatest joys was glorifying God through song. Bob loved spending time with family and friends at Lake Buchanan, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards and dominoes.
“Bobba” as he was affectionately called by his grandkids, enjoyed attending their many concerts, ball games and other activities.
His parents, his sister, Irma Lea Richardson and a grandchild, Richard William Creel, preceded Bob in death.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nell; daughters, Tommie Jean Wallette and husband Bob of Anchorage, Alaska, Donna Carter and husband Mel of Lubbock, and Lonna Creel and husband Bobby also of Lubbock; son, Bobby Jay Richardson and wife Twila of Kerrville; grandchildren, Mike, Denny and Nick Wallette, Melanie and Melissa Carter, Ross and Haley Rose Creel, Raymond Richardson and Bobbi Nell Richardson Van Reet; great-grandchildren, Kylie DeAnn and Aidan Wallette; brothers, Charles Edwin “Chuck” Richardson of San Angelo and Billy Frank “Bill” Richardson of North Richland Hills.
The family suggests memorials to Quaker Avenue Church of Christ, 1701 Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, TX or American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Lubbock, TX 79424.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Leigh Ann Jenkins, Dr. William Springer and the staff at UMC.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 7, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Bob Sebolt

San Angelo - Bob Sebolt, 70, of San Angelo, passed away Sunday Feb. 6, 2005, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 27, 1934, to Tom Sebolt and Mary Rauch Sebolt in Goldthwaite. He moved to San Angelo after high school. Later he married Myrna Jean Hale on June 21, 1954. He worked in several different fields during his life before retirement such as: Village Safeway, NuWay Grocery, National Life Insurance, Oil field and Gas construction, residential and commercial construction, operated a family owned rental apartment complex, and pilot car driver for oversized loads.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Sebolt; sister, Jacque Tharp; brothers, Raymond Sebolt, Earl Sebolt and identical twin, Bill Sebolt.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 50 years, Myrna Jean Hale Sebolt; children, Glenn Sebolt and wife, Sherri, of Eunice, La., Karen Headrick and husband, Tommy, of Marble Falls, Lisa Sheppard and husband, David, of San Angelo; grandchildren, Tim Sebolt and wife, Traci, of Odessa, Connie Sebolt of Odessa, Justin Headrick of Marble Falls, Brittney Headrick of Marble Falls, Ryan Headrick of Marble Falls, Tiffany Sheppard of San Angelo, and Derek Sheppard of San Angelo; great-grandchildren, Nate, Tyler, and Kobe Sebolt of Odessa; brothers, Lloyd Sebolt and wife, Bertha, of Odessa, Gene Sebolt and wife, Minnie, of Deweyville, and Ronny Sebolt and Sharon Reynolds of San Angelo; sister, Ann Smith of Brownwood; aister-in-law, Peggy Sebolt of San Angelo; numerous nieces; and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Fairmount cemetery.
Special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo for continued care in time of need.
