Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Willie Othell Mendoza
ODESSA - Willie Othell Mendoza, 86, a retired civil servant, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Avalon Place in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Stroud officiating.
Mendoza was born in Comanche.
SURVIVORS Brother, Jack Fields Ross of Comanche and sister, Bobbie Joyce Reed of Odessa.

Jean Farnham Moore
ODESSA - Jean Farnham Moore, 94, a former teacher, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Parks Methodist Home in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with Blossom Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Moore was born in Chicago, Ill.

Ruby Shannon
ODESSA - Ruby Shannon, 80, of Odessa, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leland Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
SURVIVORS Daughters, Sharon Williams of Kemp, Carla Rogers of Odessa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sandra W. Heflin
MONAHANS - Sandra W. Heflin, 62, of Monahans, a customer service representative, died Saturday, March 26, 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Sylskar officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery.
Heflin was born in Graham.
SURVIVORS Sons, Shane Heflin of Battle Mountain, Nev., Bryan Heflin and Brett Heflin, both of Monahans; daughter, Lee Ann Layman of Monahans; mother, Loree Guinn of Monahans, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA - Lucille M. Taylor, 91, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the Hospice House in Odessa.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Michael Weldon Johnson
LAKE BROWNWOOD - Michael Weldon Johnson, 56, of Lake Brownwood, a nurse, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rocky Creek cemetery with the Rev. Mike Patterson officiating. Arrangements are by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
He was born in Crane. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors Daughters, Ashley Faye Johnson of Arlington and Lindsay Erin Johnson of Odessa; son, Marcus Guy Weldon Johnson of Abilene; parents, James W. and Meta F. Johnson of Lake Brownwood; and two brothers, Dee Johnson of Crane and Steve Johnson of Richmond.

Austin ‘Jack’ Jones Jr.
ODESSA - Austin “Jack” Jones Jr., 80, of Odessa, a laborer in the construction industry, died Monday March 21, 2005, at Sienna Nursing Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Baptist Church with the Rev. E.J. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Oakwood. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS Wife, Myrtle Jones of Odessa; sons, Warren Gardner and Clifton Dorsett Jr. both of Denver, Colo., and Willie Lee Jones of Odessa; daughters, Martha Carey of Dallas, Mary L. Kerley of Houston, Carolyn Hughes and Charlotte M. Sharpe, both of Denver, Colo., and Doris Allen and Linda G. Simpson, both of Odessa; sister, Louvanna Walker of Palestine; 36 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Marcelina N. Navarro
LAS PANTAS - Marcelina N. Navarro, 95, of Presidio, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at her residence.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the Big Bend Apartments in Presidio. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Mary Queen of Chapel with the Rev. Lazaro Gonzales officiating. Interment will be in Lampasitos cemetery in Reinosa, Tamaulipas.
She was Catholic.
Survivors Sons, Ramiro Navarro of Campeche; daughters, Conzuelo Navarro of Reinosa, Tamaulipas and Maria Navarro of Presidio; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jimmie L. ‘Jim’ Rose
FORT DAVIS - Jimmie L. “Jim” Rose, 60, of Fort Davis, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at the Hospice Midland Inpatient Unit of Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Davis with the Revs. Ernie Vinyard and Bob Kelly officiating. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
He was born in Monahans. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS Wife, Vie Rose of Fort Davis; daughter, Allison Rose of Midland; brother, Richard Rose of Midland; sister, Patsy Rose of Muenster; and two grandchildren.

Services were March 18 at Woodland Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Sawyer and Sam Howell officiating. Arrangements are by Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville, Ark.
He was born in Arkansas City, Kan. He was Baptist and an Army veteran.
