Odessa - Christine Wright, 78, of Odessa, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Plez C. Abney
Chillicothe - Plez C. Abney, 79, of Odessa, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Odessa.
Burial was Monday, April 25, 2005, at Chillicothe cemetery.
He was born in Wynnewood, Okla.
Survivors Wife, Nelda Thomas Abney of Odessa; son, Gary Abney of Odessa; daughter, Gayle Watkins of Odessa; brother, Archie Abney of Midland; sister, Altha Mae Peterson; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pablo Aguilar
Fort Davis - Pablo Aguilar, 96, of Fort Davis, died Monday, April 25, 2005, in Fort Davis.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Miguel Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Terlingua.
Survivors Wife, Elisa Aguilar of Fort Davis; sons, Luis Aguilar and Freddy Aguilar, both of Marfa, Pablo Aguilar Jr. and Santiago Aguilar, both of Odessa, Adan Aguilar of Fort Davis, Alonzo Aguilar of Alpine, and Isabel Garcia of Marathon; daughters, Eva Gonzales of Marfa, Mary Carrasco of Presidio, and Norma Rodriguez; daughters, Eva Gonzales of Marfa, Mary Carrasco of Presidio; 38 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Horseshoe Bay - Tommy Eldress Blount Sr., 75, of Horseshoe Bay, former owner and operator of Blount’s Lodge, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at North Austin Medical Center in Austin.
Services will be at 1 p.m. May 13 at The Church at Horseshoe Bay. Arrangements are by Putnam Funeral Home of Kingsland.
He was born in Odessa.
Survivors Wife, Joan Blount of Horseshoe Bay; sons, Tommy Blount Jr. of Kingsland, and Michael Blount of Odessa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Merkel - Dorothy Nell Kerr, 71, of Odessa, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery in Merkel with the Rev. Bryan Saffle officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Dallas.

Odessa - Jim Platen, 76, of Odessa, passed away Monday, April 25, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Owen Sharp officiating.
He was born in Hindenburg, Germany.
Survivors Wife, Fern Shirley Platen of Odessa; daughters, Marina Y. Maffia of Nashua, N.H., and Jennifer L. Platen of Portland, Ore.; brothers, Peter Platen of Oberursel, Germany, Sigmar Platen of Kassel, Germany, and Heinrich Platen of Stuttgart, Germany; and two grandchildren.

Lindsay, Okla. - Edith May Tannehill, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Regency Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenhill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in McFarland, Calif.
Survivors Daughters, Patricia Crawford of Gainesville, Mo., and Loretta Parr of Odessa; brothers, Bob Whitt and Paul Whitt, both of Eagletown, Okla.; sister, Helen Melott of Gainesville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Guadalupe T. Valenzuela
Midland - Guadalupe T. Valenzuela, 85, of Pecos, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit of Midland Memorial Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church. Burial will be at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Pipkin Funeral Home.
He was born in Shafter.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Vempala officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
He was born in Marfa. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors Wife, Juana Rodriguez of Stanton; sons, Luis Rodriguez of Stanton, Lupe Rodriguez and Martin Rodriguez, both of Big Spring, Albert Heredia of Odessa, Emilio Rodriguez of Caldwell, and Rafael Rodriguez III of San Angelo; three daughters, Tomasa Rodriguez, Ynez Moreno and Sabina Tracy, all of Stanton; 36 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine. He was an Army veteran and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors Son, Matthew Thee of New Jersey; brother, Nick Thee of Pennsylvania; and sisters, Kathryn Watts of El Paso, and Judy Stasky of Bremond.

He was born in Honeygrove and was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
