Gatesville - Bobby Etta Riley Fisher, 82, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Odessa.
Graveside services were Monday at Restland cemetery in Gatesville. Arrangements were by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home.
She was born in Millersview.
Survivors Son, Rickey D. Fisher of Odessa; daughters, Virgina Sue Reeves of Odessa and Terri Stelly of Opelousas, La.; brother, W.T. Riley of Odessa; sister, Oma Bullard of Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A.M. ‘Slim’ Gabrel
Odessa - A.M. “Slim” Gabrel, 84, of Odessa, a retired sheriff, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Terry Pugh officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Haskell County and was a U.S. Marine veteran.
Survivors Wife, Lorena Gabrel of Odessa; son, W.O. Shafer Gabrel of Katy; brothers, C.H. “Pug” Gabrel of Woodward, Okla., and Burl Dean Gabrel of Alamogordo, N.M.; sisters, Ina Mae Johns of Odessa and Ima Jean Fuller of Alamogordo, N.M.; and two grandchildren.
Lota Grogan
Clyde - Lota Grogan, 92, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at a Care Center in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Spring Creek cemetery with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home.
She was born in Tolar and was a member of Westpark Baptist Church in Pecos.
Survivors Son, Drury Neal Grogan of Borger; daughters, Bette Garner of Clyde and Rozan Crow of Roswell, N.M.; brother, Raymond Weeks of Haskell; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Lora Ruth Marsh
Odessa - Lora Ruth Marsh, 75, of Austin, a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at Heritage Duval Gardens Nursing Home in Austin.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Emmett Barnard officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Arlington.
Survivors Daughters, Lori Lacey of Odessa and Kim Jordan of Austin; brother, Mike Young of Odessa; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
H.A. ‘Monk’ New
Kermit - Horland A. “Monk” New, 91, of Kermit, a retired service station owner, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, in Cisco.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Richard Ray officiating. Arrangements are by Family Services Funeral Parlor of Kermit.
He was born in Robertson County.
Survivors Sons, Harland E. New of Wink, Robert G. New of Snyder and Jerry D. New of Lubbock; brothers, Roy D. New of Weatherford and James New of Rising Star; sisters, Katherine Coffee of Odessa and Ruby Sears of Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Helen Simpson
New Boston - Helen Simpson, 54, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at Texarkana Texas Hospital in Texarkana.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Assembly of God Church in New Boston with the Rev. Matthew Neese officiating. Burial will be at College Hill cemetery in DeKalb.

She was born in Odessa and was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in New Boston.

CRANE - Kay Keltner Courtright, 66, of Crane, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Parker officiating. Burial will be at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Crane. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

ODESSA - Danny Lee Halbrooks, 60, of Odessa, a truck driver, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Nashville, Tenn. He was a Baptist.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with the Revs. Floyd Jennings and Walter McCall officiating. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
She was born in Glen Rose and moved to Big Spring from Crane. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Crane.
Survivors Daughter, June Minchew of Big Spring; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
