Gwendolyn Louise Supina
ODESSA - Gwendolyn Louise Supina, 84, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
She was born January 30, 1921 in Lyra, TX to Bert and Eva Mae Smith.
During WWII Gwen worked for Consolidated in Ft. Worth as a Riviter. She also had worked for Otto’s Ice Cream Parlor. She was a member of Legion of Mary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served on the Prayer Line.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Lorene.
Her loving husband of 63 years, William G. Supina survived her by 7 hours.
She is survived by her cousins, Tim and June Ponsetti, Sr. of San Angelo, Godchildren, Cindy Reed of Schulenburg, TX., Toni Rodriguez and husband Artie of Odessa, Tim Ponsetti, Jr. and wife Pam of Midland, Steve Ponsetti and wife Beth of San Angelo, Theresa Robertson and husband Clint of San Angelo, Patricia Lopez and husband Conrad of San Angelo, Robert Ponsetti and wife Diane of Killeen, John Paul Ponsetti and wife Cathlynne of New York, as well as their church family at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Sunday, December 18, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
A Mass for Gwendolyn and William will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2005, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pall bearers will be Steve Ponsetti, John Paul Ponsetti, Zane Ponsetti, Mark Ponsetti, Conrad Lopez II, Artie Rodriguez, and Vance Gillham.
A special thanks to Toni and Pam for all the loving care they provided.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

William George Supina
ODESSA - William George Supina, 84, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
He was born July 17, 1921, in Strawn, TX to Andrew and Janie Supina. He married Gwendolyn Smith June 8, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in India. He served in the Asiatic - Pacific Theatre and was awarded the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal and four overseas bars. He retired from Amoco Production after more than 30 years of service.
He was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 50 years where he served on the Prayer Line, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gwendolyn and his parents, brothers and a sister.
He is survived by a niece, Jane Geishauser of Harker Heights, TX, cousin, Tim and June Ponsetti, Sr. of San Angelo, Godchildren: Cindy Reed, Toni Rodriguez and husband Artie, Tim Ponsetti, Jr. and wife Pam, Steve Ponsetti and wife Beth, Theresa Robertson and husband Clint, Patricia Lopez and husband Conrad, Robert Ponsetti and wife Diane, and John Paul Ponsetti and wife Cathlynne, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as their church family at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

George D. Thomas Jr.
ODESSA - George D. Thomas Jr. 78, of Odessa passed away Friday, December 16, 2005. George’s family was by his side when he went to be with his Lord.
George was born May 15th 1927,. to Ollie Westerman Thomas and George D. Thomas, Sr. in Cross Plains, TX.
George attended school in Cross Plains TX., where he eventually moved to Odessa in 1944 at age 17. He married Ovida L. Thomas on February 19th, 1972 in Odessa, TX. They were married for 33 years. He worked in the oil field industry as a roughneck and rode in the Rodeo Circuit where he rode the rankest bull “ Hells Poppin” which won him the circuit in 1949. He later retired from Montgomery Trucking. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Odessa, TX. He served his Lord and Savior as a Deacon of the Baptist Churches where he attended.
George is survived by his wife, Ovida L. Thomas of Odessa, sons David Thomas of League City, TX, Brian Seale of Odessa, daughters Arlene Gibson of Okla. City, Ok. Nettie Stewart of Laurel, Miss., Vesta Sparks of Mentone, TX, Mary Gaffey of Odessa, TX. He also had 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
George is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Marie Blue Thomas, and his brother Clifford “Bill” Thomas.
Pallbearers will be: Alan Sparks, Clarence Cox, DeWayne Robinson, Mike O’Neal, Paul Janssen, James Horrell, Brian Seale, and Trent Stewart.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 18, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 19,2005 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Clydel Chapman officiating.
Service are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Odessa, TX.

James Kenneth Woodfin
MONAHANS - James Kenneth Woodfin of Del Rio, Texas passed away at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 9:20 a.m. following hospitalization from a massive stroke that unexpectedly and completely incapacitated him.
He was born in Monahans on April 27, 1940. He graduated from Monahans High School in 1958. Thereafter he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he primarily served in Captieux, France until 1961. He enjoyed an all too brief but independent retirement in Del Rio as an avid fisherman, boat enthusiast and cyclist.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lorene Woodfin.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Sue Cormier, his grandson, Hugh Cormier and son-in-law Ernie Cormier of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Joann Wingrove, his brother-in-law, Jimmy Wingrove, his nieces, Theresa Gardner, Donna Frasier and Becky Hill.
A memorial service will be held at the pavilion at the Monahans cemetery on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Craig Rhoton presiding.

Bradley Kent Allen
Odessa - Bradley Kent Allen passed away on Dec. 19, 2005 at his vacation home in the Colorado Rockies. He was born on Feb. 15, 1947 to Marion and Ina Allen. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his son Phillip of San Marcos, Mike and his wife Rebecca and their children Natalie and Audrey of Gainesville, Fl. and Mark and his wife Mylinda and their children Holden and Micheal of Odessa. He has a brother-in-law, Carl Bunch who resides in California and he has one brother, Mike Allen, who lives in Ft. Worth. Brad loved the outdoors and spent all the time he could with his family hunting, fishing, playing golf and traveling. He and his father owned Allen and Sons Inc. and designed and built safety equipment for oil rigs from 1976-1984. He was very involved in his sons’ football careers at Permian High School and loved the friendships he acquired from both coaches and players. He never believed in the term “quality time”, rather, he said “If you’re there every day there is no need for quality time.”
The family would like to give a special thanks to Rusty Millican for the love and dedication that he gave to “Pop” during the final days of his life.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at Second Baptist Church of Odessa.
In lieu of flowers we would appreciate any donations made to: Hospice of the Gunnison Valley, 1500 W. Tomichi, Gunnison, Co. 81230.

Jose Louis Lujan
Odessa - Jose Louis Lujan, age 57, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial following in Sunset cemetery. Rosary services will be at 7:00P.M. Wednesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, in their chapel.
Mr. Lujan is survived by: Two Sons; Jose L. Lujan of Phoenix AZ, and Albert M. Lujan of Odessa, TX; Two Brothers; Arnulfo Lujan of Alpine TX, and Valentine Lujan also of Alpine, TX; Four Sisters; Corina Lujan of Odessa, TX, Selma Leyva of Denver, CO, Laura Romero of Ft. Stockton, TX, and Mary Ann De Lao of Alpine, TX; Five grandchildren, and One great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Lujan, and Lilly Ybarra Lujan, and one brother, Edward Lujan.
Mr. Lujan was a member of the Mission Adults. He will be loved, missed, and cherished by all of his family and friends.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Noma King Wallace
Midland - Noma Enid Wallace, 85, of Midland, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Parkview Nursing Center in Big Spring, Texas.
She was born September 15, 1920, in Cat Springs, Texas to Jesse Calhoun King and Bertha Francis Gerberman. She grew up in Cisco, Texas and married William W. “Bill” Wallace, Jr., in 1940. Noma was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, a marvelous cook and gracious hostess, an avid gardener and a talented organist. She served for several years as president of the Midland Senior Citizens and was a volunteer with the Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of the Church of Christ and a life long student of the Bible. Her three sons are all Eagle Scouts and she and her husband were dedicated supporters of the Scouting program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, J.B. King, and her husband, Bill.
Noma is survived by her three sons, Warren Wallace and wife, Sandy, of Coahoma, TX; Jeff Wallace and wife, Nancy, of Laramie, WY; and John T. Wallace and wife, Virginia, of Diboll, TX; grandchildren, Cal Wallace and wife, Sasha, of Houston, TX; Stuart Wallace and wife, Julie, of Syracuse, UT; Greg Wallace and wife, Samantha, of Laramie, WY; Clint Wallace and wife, Kelly, of San Diego, CA; Travis Wallace of College Station, TX; Kori Estrada and husband, Felix, of Lufkin, TX; Keri Ackerman and husband, Andy, of Lufkin, TX; Jesse Wallace of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Adam Wallace of College Station, TX; Allison Wallace of Alpine, TX; and five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Mountain View Lodge in Big Spring where Noma lived for the last three years, Parkview Nursing Center where she had lived since November, and Odyssey Hospice. Special thanks goes to her loving friend and caregiver, Maria Rodriguez, who has been such a blessing to Noma and her family for the last three years.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Hendricks of Leander, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Texas 79701 (432) 683-5555.
Pallbearers will be Cal Wallace, Adam Wallace, Stuart Wallace, Travis Wallace, Greg Wallace, Clyde Fisher, Mark Harding, Josh Gregg and Kevin Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Clint Wallace and Jesse Wallace.
Memorials may be directed to Buffalo Trail Council, B.S.A., 1101 W. Texas, Midland, Texas 79701 or Odyssey Hospice of Big Spring.

Troy Lynn “Butch” Williams
Odessa - Troy Lynn “Butch” Williams, 56, of Odessa passed away Monday, December 19, 2005 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1949 in Big Spring. He graduated from UTEP in 1975. He served in the U. S. Army from 1970 to 1971. He was an engineer for Lawrence Livermore National Lab from 1976 until his retirement in 2004
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. & Julia Williams.
He is survived by his son, Martin Quinn Williams, daughter, Jackie Lynn Silva & husband Eric, grandson, Quintin Anthony Silva all of Las Vegas, NV., brother, Tommy Williams & wife Jo Ann of Rhome, TX. sister, Wanda Brooks & hsuband Mike of Odessa.
Butch was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Octavio Alvarez
Presidio Octavio Alvarez, 74, of Presidio, a farmer, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, in Presidio.
A rosary was said at 7 p.m. Friday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at the church with the Rev. Rolando Fonseca officiating. Burial will be at Loma Pelona cemetery in Loma Pelona. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Loma Pelona. He was Catholic.
Survivors Brothers, Francisco Alvarez of Presidio and Esteban Alvarez of Marfa; and sister, Simona Carrasco of Presidio.

Alissa Lyn Domsten
Midland - Alissa Lyn Domsten, 9, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, in Odessa.
Services will be at noon Monday at Harvest Time Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Chad Benson officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.
Survivors Parents, Lyndon and Beth Domsten of Odessa; sister, Tessa Domsten of Odessa; grandparents, Vern and Mary Tvedt of Montana and Marlin Domsten and Ruth Domsten, both of Montana.
