Juanita Mary Hoover

Odessa - Juanita Mary Kleinegger Hoover, 88, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005. Juanita was born September 22, 1917 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Ansel Peter (Jack) Kleinegger and Golda Belle (Rippey) Kleinegger. She married Lewis Hulsey Hoover on June 3, 1936 in Oklahoma City, OK. The family moved to Odessa in 1955.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Lewis Hoover in 1986 and by her only child, Larry Hoover in 2002 and a nephew, Billy Skewis.
She is survived by one brother James (Jim) Peter Kleinegger and wife Berry of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Tommie Skewis of Houston, and Patsy Coale and husband George of Galveston; her daughter-in- law, June Hoover; two granddaughters, Terri Baker and husband Valon, and Tammi Rodgers; three greatgrandchildren, Brandon Baker, Brittani Baker and Josh Rodgers all of Odessa; three nephews, Jimmy Kleinegger of NM, John Patter of VA and Buddy Legg of OH; four nieces, Margie Seip of NM, Kathy Misiti of Austin, Ann Fore of South Lake, TX and Tyna Hawes of Grand Praire.
In 1955, after moving to Odessa she worked as a bookkeeper for Jones Brothers Dirt & Paving Contractors for many years. Juanita was a daughter-in-law’s best friend, a granddaughter’s confidant, a greatgrandchild’s buddy, and avid bridge player, and a devout Catholic.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Deacon Alan Neff of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church will officiate the services, under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Evelyn Hoppe

Odessa - Evelyn Ida Hoppe, born August 15, 1918 in New York, N.Y. to Charles and Thilda Salling, passed away at Hospice House on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
After graduating from high school, she worked as an executive secretary for Allyn and Bacon Publishers and Turner Construction Co. in New York. Evelyn married William J.A. Hoppe on May 21, 1939 and they raised two children, Kathryn and William, in New Hyde Park, N.Y. They were active members of Christ Lutheran Church, where Evelyn served as organist for twenty years. Her husband passed away in 1985, and her son passed away in 1995. Evelyn joined her daughter Kathryn in Odessa in 1994, where she resided in Lincoln Towers. She loved the warmth of West Texas’ climate and people.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Kathryn, chair of the Music Department at Odessa College.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Humane Society of Odessa, the Hospice House Foundation, or a favorite charity.
The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church (West County Road and Fourth St.)

Marcos O. Nunez

Odessa - Marcos O. Nunez, 60, of Odessa, a residential constructor, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at RoseHill cemetery. Arrangements are by Acres West Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Julimez, Chihuaha, Mexico, and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Survivors Wife, Gloria J. Nunez of Odessa; sons, Marcos Nunez Jr., Jose Luis Nunez, Armando Nunez and Michael J Nunez, all of Odessa; daughters, Brenda A. Nunez of Kansas City, Kan., and Rosalinda Hernandez, Mary Helen Nunez and Silvia J. Lucio, all of Odessa; brothers, Juan Nunez, Antonio Nunez, Genero Nunez, Manuel Nunez, Lupe Nunez, Geraldo Nunez and Jessie Nunez, all of Julimez; sisters, Socorro Nunez and Chole Solidad Nunez, both of Julimez; and 26 grandchildren.

Charles ‘Buddy’ Burnett

Odessa - Charles “Buddy” Burnett age 74 of Odessa, passed away Monday, November 20, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 23 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors in their chapel with burial following in Sunset cemetery. Rev. Kevin Bushart will be officiating.
Buddy was born in Stonewall, Oklahoma on December 3, 1930. He came to Odessa in 1949 from Ada, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Arledge, May 20, 1965 in Lamesa, TX.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and an active member of the West Texas Jazz Society.
Survivors include 2 sons, and one daughter
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Stella Bullion

Odessa - Stella Bullion, 81 years old, died November 20, 2005 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX. She was born October 5, 1924 in Lawn, TX. to Sidney and Sylvia Musick.
Graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Byron McWilliams officiating.
Mrs. Bullion married Dan Bullion, in July 1942 in Brownwood, TX. She owned a Day Care Center, and was employed by Gulf Oil Co. before her retirement and was a member of First Baptist Church of Odessa, the Garden Club, Study Club, and Women’s Hospital Auxiliary, all of Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Raymond and Alton Musick.
She is survived by her daughter, Christi White and husband, Tray of Houston, brothers, Dennis Musick, Chester Musick and wife, Louise, John Musick and Lonnie Musick, grandchildren, Connor White and Hannah White.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Troy Lon Moore

Odessa - Troy Lon Moore was born April 18, 1935, to Lon and Betty (Tucker) Moore in Hall County, Texas. He is survived by wife, Delfina “Dell” Moore of the home, one son, Jefferson Moore of San Angelo, TX; daughter, Martha Brookshire of Ballinger, TX, step-daughter, Milinda Navarette of San Angelo, TX, and a step-son, Ben Villaloboz; and three grandchildren.
His parents, and his first wife, Nancy Moore, all preceded him in death.
He attended High School at Memphis, TX and received a B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1966 and in 1961 he was in the Nike Hercules Missile Field and later discharged as a Sergeant.
In 1966, he was employed by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission as an enforcement field agent and then retired. He was stationed in Big Spring, Midland, and Odessa. From 1977 to 1988, he was stationed in a one man outpost, responsible for Reeves, Pecos and Terrell Counties.
In 1988, he was appointed the Chief of Police in Pecos, Texas and served there for ten years.
From 1998 to 2005, he was employed as a federal court security officer, responsible for inner and outer security at the Midland Federal Courthouse.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Mary Adna Jones

Odessa - Mary Adna Jones passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the age of 84. Mary was born in Celeste, Texas on January 14, 1921. After graduating from Odessa High School, she attended Texas Tech University and went on to start her first job working for the railroad in Odessa. She worked for Dunn’s Van Lines for several years and later retired from Tripp Construction Company in Odessa, where she worked as a bookkeeper for 34 years. She was very good in math and enjoyed her job. Mom was an avid animal lover and often talked about her pet chicken and Collie she had as a child. She enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting and loved to dance when she was younger.
After retirement she lived alone and was helped by her son Terry, daughter-in-law Debbie and grandson Dean who was very close to her. During the last several years of her life, she moved to live with her daughter Linda and son-in-law Johnny in Euless, Texas. Her daughter Sandy and son-in-law Max were also a big help to her during this time. When living with her daughter Linda, she came to know Mary Crawford, who came to be her very good friend and caretaker. Mom suffered from Alzheimer’s during her later years and was cared for by her daughter Linda and son-in-law, Johnny until her death. Her grandson, Duane, loved to buy his Granny stuffed funny animals that she really enjoyed. Her granddaughter, Paula, from California was able to come and visit her the last weeks of her life. Although I was not there when Mom passed away, she was not alone, God was there with her and took her into his kingdom.
Her parents Mary & John Mitcham, her daughter Sandy Driggers and her husband of 16 years, “Jonsey” Jones preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Terry Kappes and daughter-in-law Debbie of Odessa, her daughter Linda Stigler and son-in-law Johnny of Euless, her son-in-law Max Driggers of Austin, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, her close friend and caregiver Mary Crawford of Azle and long-time friend Jodi McGee of Midland. Lastly, her two dogs Peaches & Sugar, whom she loved dearly and who miss her very much, survive her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Max Driggers officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.

June King Webster

Odessa - June King Webster passed away in Crane, TX, November 21, 2005 at Crane Nursing Home. June was born June 22, 1921 in Tishoming, Oklahoma to Alton and Mamie King.
She moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1932 from Big Spring and was a graduate of Amarillo High. She married Lt. Col. Jack A. Webster in 1943 in Punta Gorda, Florida where he was a flight instructor. Their lives together in the Air Force took them all over the United States as well as Oslo Norway and Tackikawoa Japan. They retired in Amarillo in 1970. Jack preceded her in death in 1972. Following Jack’s death, June worked for Sr Bryan Collins until her retirement in 1990.
June was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo. She dearly loved her family and friends and generously shared herself with others. She always loved working in her garden and home. Her many family and friends sustained her during her lengthy illness and she often spoke of their love and kindness.
June is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dennis and husband, Steve of Odessa, Texas, son, David Webster and wife, Gloria of Auora, Colorado, two grandchildren, Bert Dennis and Christopher Webster, sisters-in-law, Eunice King, La Nell King, Nita Boyndon, and Ellen “Sis” Webster, brother-in-law, Guy W. Barnes, plus many nieces, and nephews who she loved.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, November 25, 2005 at 2 pm, at Schooler Funeral Chapel in Amarillo with Dr. O.K. Bowen of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors of Odessa and Schooler Funeral Chapel of Amarillo.

Martha Beatriz Rodriguez

Odessa - Martha Beatriz Rodriguez 43 years of age passed away November 21, 2005 at Aliance Hospital in Odessa. She was born July 29, 1963 in Mexico to parents Paulino Huerta and Tomasa Quintela. She was a Catholic and a Homemaker. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon today, November 23, 2005 at St. Joseph with Fr. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. She is survived by he sons, Catarino Rodriguez and Ivan Rodriguez of Odessa, Artemio Huerta of Midland, daughter, Olveida Hinojos of Odessa, father, Paulino Huerta of Ojinaga, MX, brothers, Joel Huerta of Odessa, Jaime Huerta of Monahans, Israel Huerta of Ojinaga, MX, sisters Edelmira Huerta of Monahans, Francisca Hinojos of Ojinaga, MX, grandchildren, Artemio Huerta, Jasmine Huerta, Leonel Huerta and Damian Alberto Hinojos. Arrangements are under the direction of Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels & Crematory.

Auline Brasuel

Odessa - Auline Brasuel, 94, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2005, at the Hospice House in Odessa. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Highland United Methodist Church in Odessa, with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Auline was born on December 4, 1910, in Pecos, TX to Walter and Lena (Jones) Stephen.
Auline grew up in Pecos and attended the University of Texas in Austin. She moved to Odessa in 1954.
Mrs. Brasuel worked as a bookkeeper for many years until she retired. She was a member of several professional organizations. She was a member and served as president for Women in Construction. She also held membership in the American Business Women’s Association and the National Association of Parliamentarians. Auline truly enjoyed helping people and spent several years as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She often delivered meals to people much younger than herself.
Auline was a devoted member of Highland United Methodist Church. She loved going to Church and seeing the beauty in the world that God created - as evidenced in her travels all over the globe, and the hard work and tender care she put into her lovely flower gardens.
Auline’s most admirable quality was her unconditional love for her family. She loved to host family gatherings and would spend hours cooking the perfect meal. She was selflessly devoted to her daughters. Auline’s love for her daughter, Peggy, was visible each and every day as they shared their lives together. Auline cared, with great love and compassion, for her daughter, Wanda, as she battled cancer.
Those left to cherish her love and memories include her daughter, Peggy Street of Odessa, five grandchildren, Jed and wife Tracy Street of Odessa, Anjie and husband Roland Pickett of Canyon Lake, Kirk Street of Fallbrook, CA, Sheri Hoffman of Austin, DeAun Hoffman of Thorton, CO, two brothers, Walter Stephen of Denver, CO, and J.H. Stephen of Conroe, two sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell of Van Horn, and Ruby Taliaferro of Lubbock and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Wanda Hoffman, two brothers and one sister.
The family requests that memorials be made to Home Hospice, 516 N. Texas, Odessa, TX 79761.
