Alpine - Carol Ann Funk, 57, of Alpine, Girl Scouts of America assistant camp director and manager, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, in San Antonio.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the University Baptist Church with Brad McGuire officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
She was born in Corpus Christi.
Survivors Husband, K.W. Kingsley of Alpine; son, Aaron Abraham Funk of Alpine; daughters, Connie Lee Funk-Herzog of San Angelo and Clarissa Ann Funk of Odessa; brother, Edward Wallace of Huntingdon, Pa.; sister, Judith Carver of Georgetown; and three grandchildren.

Ervey C. Montes
Andrews - Ervey C. Montes, 70, of Andrews, a retired cattle importer for stockyards, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Regional Medical Center.
Rosary was said Jan. 10 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was celebrated Jan. 10 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Andrews North cemetery with the Rev. Bernard Gully of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Survivors Wife, Marcela Montes of Andrews; son, Luis Montes of Andrews; daughter, Martlta Elena Montes of Andrews; mother, Guadalupe Montes of Presidio; brothers, Jose Montes and Mario Montes, both of Predidio; sisters, Ortencia Lopez of Houston and Luz Maria Cajica of Artesia, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

Doris June Thomason
Kermit - Doris June Thomason, 80, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Family Services Funeral Parlor Chapel.
She was born in Wortham, Freestone County.
Survivors Son, Gary Thomason of Odessa; daughter, Lisa Kay Thomason of Corpus Christi; brothers, Kenneth Edward Tidwell of Andrews, Donald Lee Tidwell of Bedford and Nobel “Teddy” Glen Tidwell of Odessa; sisters, Anita Joyce Lakey of Kermit and Linda Kay Tidwell of Kermit; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Terry Hunt
Odessa - Terry Hunt, 50, of Odessa, a truck driver, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, in Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Pugh officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He was born in Roswell, N.M. He was Christian.
Survivors Wife, Teresa Middaugh Hunt of Odessa; daughters, Brandi Hunt of Odessa and Meleah Pocock of Plano; parents, C.W. “Chuck” and Patsy S. Hunt of Odessa; brother, Harley Hunt of Levelland; sister, Tonya Kyser of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Samuel Noyes Little
Alpine - Samuel Noyes Little, 82, of Alpine, died Friday, March 3, 2006, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Gaumond officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
He was born in Atkinson, N.H. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors Son, Jim Little of Alpine; daughters, Jo Lynn Wallace of Alpine, Jan Louise Curtis of San Antonio and Nancy Elizabeth Leggett of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.

Zeferino ‘Zefe’ Ortega
Odessa - Zeferino “Zefe” Ortega, 67, of Odessa, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at Home Hospice.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He was born in Mexico.
Survivors Wife, Tomasa Ortega of Odessa; two sons, Oscar Ortega and Zeferino Ortega Jr., both of Odessa; daughters, Modesta Cervantez, Estella Hernandez, Rosa Ortega and Veronica Garcia, all of Odessa; brothers, Juan Ortega of Odessa, Clemente Ortega of Gonzales, La., Manuel Ortega of Pecos and Juan Ortega of Odessa; and 11 grandchildren.

Pearl Lee Osteen Renner
MONAHANS - Pearl Lee Osteen Renner, 96, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Monahans Memorial cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Owen Sharp officiating. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services of Monahans.
She was born in Martin, Tenn.
Survivors Son, Jerry Osteen of Olden; daughters, Linda Bean and Margaret Mason, both of Monahans and Betty Bransford of Baytown; 24 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.

Stanton - Henry G. Resa, 74, of San Angelo, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, in San Angelo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Denver City with the Revs. L.D. Hinson and Ronnie Lunsford officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery in Seagraves. Arrangements are by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.
He was born in O’Donnell. He was an Army veteran and was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Odessa - Darrell Elwood Moore, 89, of Irving, formerly of Odessa, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels & Crematory.
He was born in Crawford County, Ill.
Survivors Two grandchildren.

Luisa Sanchez
Fort Stockton - Luisa Sanchez, 86, of Midland, a restaurant cook, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Midland.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Floro Hinacay officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton cemetery.
She was born in San Vicente, Mexico and was Catholic.
Survivors Daughter, Melinda Ramirez of Midland; brother, Merced Carrillo of Acuņa, Mexico; sisters, Andrea Lara of Del Rio, Elias Sanchez of Fort Stockton and Maria Inez Sanchez of Crane; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Gary C. Simons
Fort Stockton - Gary C. Simons, 60, of Presidio, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Fort Stockton.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio with the Rev. Rolando Fonseca officiating. Burial will be at Desert Hills cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Presidio.
