Pecos - Isabel “Shavelita” Hernandez, 81, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Mass was celebrated Feb. 7 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial was held at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements were by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel in Pecos.
She was born in Candelaria and was Catholic.
Survivors Sons, Joe F. Hernandez of Flagstaff, Ariz., Dulces Hernandez Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla., Felix Hernandez of Pecos, Eluerio Porras, Ruben Hernandez and Ramon Porras, all of Carlsbad, N.M.; daughters, Andrea Hernandez of Carlsbad, N.M., and Piedad Sally Hernandez of Pecos; brother, Luis Munoz of Carlsbad, N.M.; sister, Gabina Botello of Zaragoza, N.M.; 29 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
Enrique ‘Rico’ Jaramillo
Odessa - Enrique “Rico” Jaramillo, 54, of Odessa, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He was born in Pecos.
Survivors Wife, Gloria of Odessa; sons, Enrique Jaramillo Jr. of Odessa, Chris Jaramillo of San Antonio, Gabriel Gonzalez of Alpine and Eric Nunez of Fort Stockton; daughters, Julis Solis Carrillo and Veronica Nunez Aranda, both of Odessa; brother, Antonio Aranda of Odessa; sister, Chelo Aranda of McCamey; and 15 grandchildren.
William R. Loving Jr.,
Odessa - William R. Loving Jr., 88, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Alliance Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Willow cemetery in Haskell. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Haskell. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors Wife, Pauline B. McDonald Loving of Odessa; sons, George McDonald of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lonny McDonald of Lafayette, La.; daughters, Vianna Loving and Cordie Nave, both of Odessa; and three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Amado ‘Kino’ Martinez
Fort Stockton - Amado “Kino” Martinez, 64, of Fort Stockton, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, in Alpine.
Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Mexico.
Survivors Wife, Virginia Martinez of Fort Davis; sons, Amado Martinez Jr. and Haviel Martinez, both of Mexico; and daughters, Grace Martinez and Rosie Martinez, both of Mexico.
Myrna Lou McVay
Lubbock - Myrna McVay, 67, of Lubbock, died Tuesday, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Services were held Feb. 7 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Ken Horn officiating. Arrangements were by Resthaven’s Funeral Home of Lubbock.
She was born in Ranger.
Survivors Son, Michael Barnett of Pasadena; daughter, Kimberly Ashby of Pasadena, Kathy Brainard of Albuquerque, N.M.; mother, Catherine Coffin of Dumas; sister, Judy Slaton of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jose Saldana Mora Sr.
Rocksprings - Jose Saldana Mora Sr., 86, of Andrews, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Midland Hospital Hospice Unit.
Services were held Feb. 7 at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel with Jesse Solis officiating. Burial was held at Rocksprings cemetery.
He was born in Rocksprings.
Survivors Sons, Donnie Mora of Boerne and Jose Mora Jr. of Midland; daughters, Oliva Solis of Big Lake, Julia Gracia of Lubbock, Corina Sanchez of Fort Worth, Josephina Tavarez and Rosemary Mora, both of Odessa, Belinda Luna, Melinda Lopez, Linda Estrada and Maribel Mora, all of Andrews; sister, Jacinta Gonzales; 29 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
