ABILENE - Lummie B. “Butch” Jarrett Jr., 66, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, in an Abilene hospital.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Rodney Watson officiating.
He was an oilfield worker. He was a National Guard veteran.
SURVIVORS Sons, Bobby Jarrett of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Lonnie Jarrett of Lubbock; daughter, Sabrina Munns of Abilene; mother, Minnie Davis, of Odessa; sisters, Alleene Hocker of Gardendale, Texas and JoAnn Gibson of Odessa; and nine grandchildren.

John Edward Peterson
MCCAMEY - John Edwards Peterson, 90, died Saturday Jan. 21, 2006, at the McCamey, Texas Nursing Home.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born near Bonesteel, S.D.
SURVIVORS Wife, Emily Minnette Backus Peterson, McCamey; and son, Eugene Peterson, Tucson, Ariz.

Robert Raynor
ODESSA - Robert Raynor, 46, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services took place Sunday. Arrangements were by Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels and Crematory.
SURVIVORS Wife, Donna Raynor of Odessa; sons, Alvin Shane Stockton, of Odessa and Jason Lee Raynor of Hawaii; daughter, Nicole Coller of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, Bill Raynor, Randy Raynor, Bert Raynor and Bernard Raynor, all of North Carolina; sister, Susan Beasley, of North Carolina; and four grandchildren.

ODESSA - Richard “Richie” Holguin, 47, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

ODESSA - Sylvie Roman, 44, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services are pending with Martinez Smith Funeral Chapels and Crematory.

MCKINNEY - Richard H. “Dicky” Taliaferro, formerly of Odessa, died Thursday, Jan. 19 in Wannassa, Australia.
Memorial services are pending in at Central Baptist Church in McKinney.

Leopoldo ‘Polo’ S. Fabela
Odessa - Leopoldo “Polo” S. Fabela, 47, of Odessa, a laborer, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Hospice House.
Rosary was said Feb. 27 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. He was Christian Catholic.
Survivors Wife, Martha Jaquez Fabela; sons, Daniel J. Fabela, Andy J. Fabela and Michael J. Fabela, all of Odessa; daughters, Victoria J. Fabela and Vivianna Z. Rubio, both of Odessa; father, Fidel Fabela of Chihuahua; brothers, Juan Fabela, Salvador Fabela, Fidel Fabela Jr., Rosendo Fabela, all of Odessa and Valentine Fabela of Chihuahua; sisters, Margarita Mendoza of Odessa, Estella F. Anchondo and Maria De Jesus Mendoza, both of Chihuahua; and two grandchildren.

Midland - Floyd C. Kiser, 82, of Odessa, a production superintendent with El Paso Gas, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Golf Course Church of Christ with the Rev. Ronnie White officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Lawnhaven Memorial Park in San Angelo. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Eskota.
Survivors Wife, Joyce Kiser of Odessa; son, Ron Kiser Odessa; daughter, Brenda Fox; brother, Bob Kiser of Abilene; sisters, Fern Roberts, Pat Allen, Mary Anderson and Judy Pherigo, all of Coahoma; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Odessa - James Nomon Thomas, 58, of Kermit, a mechanic, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, in Kermit.

She was born in Stanton and was Methodist.

McAllen - R.M. “Pat” Koller, 87, of New Braunfels, formerly of Monahans, a process operator for Gulf Oil, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, in New Braunfels.

She was born in Big Spring. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
