Seminole - Ruperto T. Cavazos, 83, of Seminole, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Hugh Thekkel officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Sebastia.
Survivors Wife, Ofelia Cavazos of Seminole; son, Ruperto Cavazos Jr. of Seminole; daughters, Virginia Garza, Lupe Gomez and Lucila Cavazos, all of Seminole; brothers, Pete Cavazos of Raymondville and Bernardo Cavazos of Lamesa; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Seminole - Deiondre Contreras, infant, of Seminole, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in Seminole.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She was born in Seminole.

Arthur Blaine Hawke
FORT STOCKTON - Arthur Blaine Hawke, 66, of Corpus Christi, a truck driver, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, in Corpus Christi.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery.
He was born in Sewickley, Pa., and moved to Corpus Christi from Odessa. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS Daughters, Etta Mae Savilisky of Carlsbad, N.M., Ann Clinton of Richard Nye II, Charlene Kinman of Farmington, N.M., and Tammy Speegle of Corpus Christi; sisters, Betty Cooper, Dorothy Creese and Jane Assalone, all of Fombell, Pa.; brothers, Dan Hawke and Richard Hawke, both of Fombell, Pa., and Don Hawke of Midland; and eight grandchildren.

Costella King
Stephenville - Costella King, 89, of Comanche County, formerly of Odessa, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at Comanche County Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Gardens of Memory cemetery with the Rev. Matt Hall officiating. Arrangements are by Stephenville Funeral Home.
She was born in Amber, Okla.
Survivors Son, Royce King of Dublin; daughters, Sue Dameron of Wellston, Okla., and Judy Thompson of Dublin; sisters, Leona Sturgeon of Yuma, Ariz., and Clara Byron of Houston; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joshua Tremell Lane
CRANE - Joshua Tremell Lane, 27, of Midland, a welder’s assistant with Parker Mac Fabrications, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Sunset cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Andrews. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors Son, Jaylin Lane of Austin; daughter, Alayla Lane of Crane; father, Arthur “Hubie” Lane Jr. III of Crane; mother, Patricia Johnson of Midland; grandparents, Jack and Sammie Lane of Crane, Donnie and Lila Pierce of Odessa; brothers, Lance Lane of Manor, Arthur Lane Jr. IV and Devon “Marcus” Pierce, both of Midland; sisters, Nicole Martin of Evansville, Ind., Precious Williams of Midland, La Tekka Lane and La Teisha Lane, both of Snyder.

Abel Hinojos Leos Jr.
Pecos - Abel Hinojos Leos Jr., 62, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, in Garland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos and was Catholic.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Corsicana and was a Baptist.
Survivors Husband, Richard McDougle of Odessa; sons, Brian D. McDougle and Robby W. McDougle, both of Odessa; brothers, Paul Burnett Jr. of Odessa, Carter Franklin of Houston and Jerry Brannon of Montgomery; sisters, Claudette Johnston of Odessa and Barbara Burnett of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

MONAHANS - Vera Eleanor McLaurin, 68, of Henderson, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, in Henderson.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Monahans Memorial cemetery Pavilion. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services of Monahans.
She was born in Sweetwater.
Survivors Daughter, Debra Moody of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Ronald Lee Moorefield
SEMINOLE - Ronald Lee Moorefield, 33, of Seminole, a water well driller, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in New Mexico from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Howe officiating. Arrangements are by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
He was born in Andrews and had lived in Seminole for two months from Levelland.
SURVIVORS Wife, Tanisha Moorefield of Seminole; sons, Rusty Moorefield, Gaidge Moorefield, Randal Moorefield and Dakota Moorefield, all of Seminole, and Camron Maddox of Levelland; daughter, Joni’ Hope Maddox of Levelland; father, Ronney Moorefield of Seminole; mother, Lynda Ann Beck of Seminole; grandparents, Noel and Margie Massey of Seminole; brothers, Rodney Moorefield, Douglas Hoskins, Freddy Sturguess Jr. and Kevin Sturguess, all of Seminole.

She was born in Lubbock.

EL MULATO, OJINAGA, CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO - Simona Garcia Salcido, 91, of Midland, a homemaker, died Thursday. Jan. 19, 2006, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in El Mulato, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Burial will be at El Mulato cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home and Del Valle Funeral Home of Ojinaga.
She was born in El Mulato and was a Christian.
SURVIVORS Sons, Enrique Salcido of Andrews, Juan Salcido of Odessa, Humberto Salcido and Francisco Salcido, both of Midland; daughters, Ernestina Herrera of El Mulato, Manuela Cantu of Midland, Munda Salcido of Bartlesville, Okla., Aurora Barrazas of Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, Graciela Reyna and Juanita Munoz, both of Andrews; 61 grandchildren; 147 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Eluterio Casas
Odessa - Eluterio Casas, 52 years of age, passed away June 6, 2006 in Huntsville, Texas. He was born March 26, 1954 in Rio Grande City, Texas to parents Gilberto Casas and Yolanda Salinas Casas. Visitation will be held today, June 10, 2006 from 9 am to 10 pm at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels and Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm with a rosary said at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2006, at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial following at Rose Hill cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Yolanda Salinas Casas of Odessa, son, Jason Eluterio Casas of Odessa, daughter, Rebeca Maria Casas of Redondo Beach, CA, brothers, Juan Abel Casas Sr., Eden H. Casas, Fernando Casas, and Frank Casas all of Odessa and sister, Lisa Ortiz Casas of Austin, TX. Services are under the direction of Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels & Crematory.

Wilma Gerald ‘Ruddle’ Perkins
Odessa - Wilma Gerald “Ruddle” Perkins, 84, of Odessa, TX passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Life Care Center in Farmington. Mrs. Perkins was born April 27, 1922 in DeKalb, Texas the daughter of Howard Ruddle and Laura (Lewis) Ruddle.
Wilma was preceded in death in 1989, by her husband, J.A. Perkins, whom she married in 1942.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by sons, Albert Lewis Perkins of Nashville, TN and Charles Wayne Perkins of Farmington, N M and wife Holly; brother, Norman Hugh “Pat” Ruddle of Little Rock, AK; four grandchildren Vicki Smith of Alamogordo, NM, Elisha Whiteley of Farmington, NM; Jesse Perkins and Matthew Perkins both of Nashville, TN and three great-grandchildren Austin Smith and Taylor Smith both of Alamogordo, NM and Hailey Whiteley of Farmington, NM.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Frank Wilson Funeral Chapel in Odessa with Pastor Ivy Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Pallbearers will be Larry Almquist, LaCour Clark, Scott Sibert, Bobby Bailey, Charles Bulsterbaum and Don Wise.
Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 811 Central Odessa, TX 79761 or the Alzheimer’s Association 400 N. Big Spring, Midland, TX 79705.
