Odessa - Rebecca Sue Landrum, 46, of Odessa, a waitress, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Latter Rain Worship Center with Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Acres West Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Hamlin.
Survivors Sons, Nick Mays and Bobby Landrum, both of Odessa; daughter, Tasha Landrum of Odessa; brothers, Millard Childress of Abilene, John Childress of Seminole and Smokey Childress of Tulia; sisters, Ann Seay of Seminole, Patricia Hamra of Keller and Cristine Holt of Mansfield; and six grandchildren.

Bobbie McDaniel
Alpine - Bobbie McDaniel, 75, of Alpine, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Geeslin Funeral Home of Alpine.
She was born in Wakeeney, Kan. She was formerly of Odessa.
Survivors Daughter, Kellie Powell of Alpine; sister, Billie Morgan of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Elizabeth Rae Beth Neyland
Fort Stockton - Elizabeth Rae Beth Neyland, 25, of Fort Stockton, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Fort Stockton.
Memorial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Joel Barrett and Larry Krenger officiating.
She was born in Austin.
Survivors Parents, David and Ruth Neyland of Fort Stockton; sister, Emily Sarah Neyland of Fort Stockton; and grandparents, Raymond and Laverne Neyland of Weatherford and Harold Spencer of Minonk, Ill.

Isaias ‘Cheyenne’ Renteria
Pecos - Isaias “Cheyenne” Renteria, 71, of Pecos, an auto mechanic, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Medical Center Hospital.
A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Miguel Angel Sanchez officiating.
He was born in Presidio.
Survivors Wife, Aurora R. Renteria of Pecos; son, Jaime Renteria of Midland; daughters, Sylvia Renteria, Rose Mary Madrid and Esmeralda Suarez, all of Midland; brother, Pablo Renteria of Pecos; sister, Maria Luz Diaz of Wickett; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Manuel Subia Riojaz
Fort Stockton - Manuel Subia Riojaz, 52, of Fort Stockton, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Fort Stockton.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Floro Hinacay officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery.
He was born in Fort Stockton. He was Catholic.
Survivors Sons, Andy Riojaz and Joe Riojaz, both of Fort Stockton; daughter, Brenda Vasquez of San Angelo; mother, Aurora Riojaz of Fort Stockton; brothers, Saul Subia Riojaz of Pflugerville and Michael Subia Riojaz of Cuero; sisters, Irma Watson of Carrollton, Olga Cozby of Divine, Hilda Fierro of Fort Stockton and Melissa Mallory of Round Rock; and two grandchildren.

Odessa - Tomasa Navarrette Soto, 91, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the
Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
She was born in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was Catholic.
Survivors Sons, Ramon Navarrette Soto and Balentine Navarrette Soto, both of Odessa; daughter, Graciela Villalobos of Odessa; sisters, Vicenta “Chenta” Renteria of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Carmen Contreras of Cuchillo Parado; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Adrian Madrid Vaeza
Las Conchas, Chihuahua, Mexico - Adrian Madrid Vaeza, 25, of Presidio, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, in Presidio.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Las Conchas Ranch. Burial will be at Las Conchas cemetery with Conrrado Urias Vaeza officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Las Conchas.
Survivors Wife, Eneida S. Vaeza of Kermit; daughters, Yulissa Vaeza and Yaresmie Vaeza, both of Kermit; parents, Conrrado and Anita Vaeza of Mexico; brothers, Jose Luis Madrid Vaeza and Aaron Madrid Vaeza, both of Mexico; and sisters, Marisela Ulate of Midland, Juana Emelda Losoya of Hobbs, N.M., Antonia Madrid Baeza of Andrews and Elida Madrid Baeza of Mexico.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Denton, Kan. He was owner and operator of Comanche Motel. He was Christian.
Survivors Wife, Jan Sealy of Fort Stockton; sons, Tom Widmar of Tomball and Jake Widmar of Centennial, Colo.; daughter, Tami Frias of Bakersfield, Calif.; brother, Ivan Martin of Peoria, Ill.; sister, Donna Baldassaire of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

McCamey - Frank “Pancho” Robbins Jr., 78, of McCamey, a rancher, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, in McCamey.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Earl Richardson and Jodi Windbigler officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors Wife, Ruth Robbins of McCamey; daughter, Carol Sandlin of Houma, La.; son, Bill Robbins of Odessa; four stepdaughters, Ann Schoenewolf of Bay City, Wanda Dufresne of Holland, Mich., Becky Pritchett of Coahoma and Mary Holder of Big Spring; stepsons, Doug Holder of Kermit and Chris Holder of Midland; three grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Odessa - Benny Hudson, 59, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at his residence.

Odessa - Janiece Whisenhunt, 65, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Helen Jane Ward
Midland - Helen Jane Ward, 82, journeyed home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Jane was born February 5, 1924 in McAllen, Texas, to Roger and Sarinda de Steiguer. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma and married Carlton Ward in Wewoka, Oklahoma, on November 22, 1941. She retired from the accounting department of Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in 1980. She was also a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Jane is survived by her husband, Carlton Ward of Midland, two sons, Roger Ward of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Darrell Ward, his wife Arminae and sons Bradley and Brandon of Midland, Texas, one sister Sue Davis of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and one brother, Don de Steiguer of Braggs, Oklahoma, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by one son, James Ray Ward; her parents Roger and Sarinda de Steiguer; and two brothers, Joe de Steiguer and Jerry de Steiguer.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Thursday, March 2, 2006 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Okmulgee cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy., Midland, Texas 79701 (432) 683-5555.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Midland, P.O. Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.

Lonnie Raymond Veatch
Odessa - Lonnie Raymond Veatch, 78, of Odessa passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at his residence. He was born December 18, 1927 in Grosvenor, TX. He owned and operated a wireline service company and retired in 1993. He was an Air Force veteran.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Veatch in 2005.
He is survived by his sons, Don and Mike Veatch of Odessa, (2) grandchildren, Christina Ashing & Cynthia Veatch.
A Funeral service will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Rilla Meeks Brooks
Andrews - Graveside services for Rilla Meeks Brooks, 64, of Odessa will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in the Andrews West cemetery with Rev. Clydel Chapman, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
She passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at her residence in Odessa.
She was born on May 2, 1942 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Bennie Lee Meeks and Audie Hazel McCoy Meeks. She had lived in Odessa since 1953. She graduated from Permian High School in 1960, which was the first class to graduate from Permian. She worked as a bookkeeper for Tommy’s Jewelry Store in Odessa for 10 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Odessa. She married Walter Brooks on January 1, 1990 in Odessa. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband: Walter Brooks of Odessa; 2 sons: Darren Hightower of Odessa and Mark Brooks and wife Vicki of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 1 daughter: Tammy Allison of Odessa; 1 brother: Jim Meeks of Houston; and 1 grandson: Justin Brooks of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Memorials may be sent to Odyssey Hospice or Su Casa Home Health in Odessa.
