FORT STOCKTON -- Anna Maria Contreras, 87, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at her residence.
Mass was celebrated Saturday, March 27, 1999, at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Pino Santa Fe, Mexico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Enedinda Baeza of Fort Stockton, Josephina Yharte of Midland and Aubina Contreras of McCamey; sons, Francisco Contreras and Espir Espiririon Contreras, both of Mexico; brothers, Toribio Vizcaino of Midland and Jesus Vizcaino of Ojinaja, Mexico; sisters, Petra Dominquez of Midland, Maria Cabello of Lovington, N.M., and Juana Grando of Odessa; 34 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

Bill Dyer
MCCAMEY -- Bill Dyer, 52, of McCamey, a contract pumper, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Resthaven cemetery with the Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.
He was born in Pecos and moved to McCamey in 1987. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Cindy Dyer of McCamey, and brother, David Dyer of Odessa.

Joyce Freeze
ODESSA -- Joyce W. Freeze, 78, of Odessa, a retired admitting clerk, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Texline and moved to Odessa in 1956. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Janie Buckalew of Odessa, and one grandchild.

Warren Bishop
ODESSA -- Warren L. Bishop, 50, of Odessa, a retired general manager, died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Avalon Place Nursing Center.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Craig Martindale and Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Oklahoma City.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joan Bishop of Odessa; son, Brent Bishop of Seattle; daughter, Kimberly Bishop of Odessa; father, A.L. Bishop of Royce City; stepfather, Lloyd McDonald of Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepmother, Wilma Green of Oklahoma City; sisters, Wilma Parker of Houston and Lorraine McDonald of Amarillo; and brother, Paul McDonald of Springfield, Mo.

ODESSA -- Dianne Carter Hernandez, 43, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Robert Fletcher officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Monahans and moved to Odessa six years ago.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Louis Hernandez of Odessa; father, H.E. Carter Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Stacy Trosclair of New Orleans and Eyvette Hernandez of Alpine; and son, Matthew Trosclair of New Orleans.

Vernon Hindman
ALPINE -- Vernon Wayne Hindman, 74, of Alpine, a retired security officer, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at a Midland hospital.
Military graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Greensburg, Kan., and was a longtime resident of Alpine. He was Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Beatrice Hindman of Alpine.

Opal Taber
ODESSA -- Opal Taber, 72, of Odessa died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at her residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Sylvia Holguin
STANTON -- Sylvia Ramirez Holguin, 30, a waitress, died Sunday, March 21, 1999, in Miami.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Arturo Pestin and Deacon Ernie Sanchez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home & Chapel.
She was born in Fort Morgan, Colo.
SURVIVORS: Manuel Holguin Jr. and Joe Luis Holguin, both of Coahoma, and Raul Angel Ramirez of Midland; mother, Carmen Baeza of Midland; father, Santos Ramirez Jr. of Phoenix; brother, Santos Ramirez III of Midland; sisters, Jessie Ramirez, Santa Maria Ramirez, Crystal Jean Ramirez and Monice Lee Ramirez, all of Midland, and Inez Ramirez of Homestead, Fla.

Hazel Clark
ODESSA -- Hazel Marie Clark, 78, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rex Clayton officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Paducah, Texas, and moved to Odessa two years ago. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, William Leslie Clark of Brownwood and James Lynn Clark of San Angelo; daughter, Helen Joyce Clark Crow of Midland; sister, Rosa Lee Parks of Stephenville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

COLORADO CITY -- Wayne McAnally, 51, of Loraine, a farmer, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kiker-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Roy Lee Epperson officiating. Burial will be at Colorado City cemetery. Arrangements by Kiker-Seale cemetery.
He was born in Odessa and had lived in Mitchell County for 11 years. He was a Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Recia McAnally of Loraine; and sister, Julia McAnally of Sweetwater.

PECOS -- LaVerne (Sims) Lewis Phares, 82, of Pecos, retired shoe store owner, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Abbott. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery.
Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Childress and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Karin Lee of Sandia Park, N.M.; son, Lee Lewis of Austin; stepdaughter, Cornelia "Sam" Arhelger of Austin; sister, Alie V. Sessions of Dallas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Nettie Phillips
MERIDIAN -- Nettie E. Phillips, 89, of Andrews, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Andrews Healthcare Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Lawson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mitchell cemetery in Iredell. Local arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Bosque County and moved to Andrews in 1955 from Meridian.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Mary Duley of Andrews and Norma South of Lovington, N.M.; son, Conrad Phillips of Andrews; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
