JACKSBORO -- Opal Lillian Rutherford, 82, of Jacksboro, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Reed Gipson and Irvin Rutherford officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements by Coker Funeral Home.
She was born in Iowa Park. She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Survivors: Daughters, Dee Mason of Portland, Ore., June Eardley of Simi Valley, Calif., Deenna Keith of Lake Alfred, Fla., Pat Allen and Reba Pippin, both of Jacksboro, and Deloris Piper of Fort Worth; sons, Gene Rutherford of Greensburg, Kan., George Rutherford of Liberty, Mo., Irvin Rutherford of Kansas City, Mo., and Roger Rutherford of Josephine; sister, Helen Littlejohn of Eugene, Ore.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Homer Moore
ODESSA -- Homer O’Neal Moore, 65, of Odessa, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at his residence.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Eduvijes Acosta

ODESSA -- Eduvijes Acosta, 75, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at El Templo Bautista in Odessa with the Rev. Felipe Molinar officiating. Burial will be at Crane cemetery in Crane. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Terlingua. She was a Christian.
Survivors: Husband, Saturnino Acosta of Odessa; sons, Frank Acosta and Armando Acosta, both of Odessa, Martin Acosta of Midland, John Acosta of Crane; daughters, Josie Valdez of Odessa, Manuela Rodriguez of Dallas, Isabel Celaya of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Granado of Midland, Eduvijis Ramirez of Big Lake, Esperanza Gutierrez of Midland; sisters, Margarita Gonzalez of Odessa, Maria Galindo of Marathon and Rita Tavarez of Fort Stockton; 32 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Edward Reid

ANDREWS -- Edward L. "Ed" Reid, 68, a former driller and constable, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at the All Saints Episcopal Hospital in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Andrews Old cemetery with the Rev. Monty Henson officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
He was born in Sundown. He moved to Andrews in 1954 until he moved to Fort Worth in 1995. He was a constable in Andrews from 1965-1968. He was a Baptist and had served in the Marines.
Survivors: Daughters, Pam Henson of Mansfield, Nancy Rosser of Corinta and Joyce Bird of Fort Worth; son, Ronnie Reid of Fort Worth; brothers, Stanley Reid of Brownwood, Wayne Reid of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Nell Brookshire

ODESSA -- Nell Brookshire, 73, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at her residence. Arrangements are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Jose Acosta

ODESSA -- Jose M. Acosta, 78, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

Dora "Jo" Hall

ODESSA -- Dora "Jo" Hall, 78, of Odessa died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at her residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Sid Driggers officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly.

She was bork in Little, Okla. She moved to Odessa in 1946.
Survivors: Husband, Garland R. Hall of Odessa; son, David G. Hall of Odessa; daughter, Kuita Jo Hall of Odessa; sister, Willie M. Neill of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Gale Green

ODESSA -- Gale Green, 65, of Odessa died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. Services are pending at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Virgilea Banks
STEPHENVILLE -- Virgilea Banks, 77, of Stephenville, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, in Bartlett.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will be at Tuscola cemetery in Tuscola. Arrangements by Lacy Funeral Home. She was born in Cisco and moved to Stephenville from Odessa 13 years ago. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, B. Henry Banks of Wesilla, Ala., Manning Banks of Midland; daughter, Carolyn Adcock of Proctor; sister, Christine Ferguson of Bartlett; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Dixie Tisdale
ODESSA -- Dixie Tisdale, 84, of Odessa died Wednesday, Sept. 2,1998, at her residence.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Charles Young
ODESSA -- Charles Harold Young, 48, of Odessa died Wednesday, Sept. 2,1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Charlie Divine
ODESSA -- Charlie Leslie Divine Sr., 86, of Katy died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, in Katy.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will be at Odessa cemetery.
He was born in Oklahoma.
SURVIVORS: Son, C. Leslie Divine Jr. of Chesterfield, Mo.; daughter, Millie Kruse of Katy; brother, James Divine of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Georgia Donahue of Ponca City, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Paul Gleason
ABILENE -- Paul Bender Gleason, 83, of Abilene, a retired service station manager, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Revs. H.S. Calahan and David Bartley officiating. Burial will be at Hawley cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home.
He was born in Jones County and moved to Abilene in 1975 from Odessa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Myrtle Gleason of Abilene; daughters, Paula Smith of Sapulpa, Okla., and Beverly Shelby of Bedford; son, Dennis Gleason of Abilene; brother, Truman Gleason of Lubbock; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Lona Welborn
ODESSA -- Lona E. Welborn, 96, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Burt Groves officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Sherman and moved to Odessa in 1937 from Mundy. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Son, Alfred Welborn of Waco; daughters, Catherine Smith and Betty Sammann, both of Odessa and Verlene Williams of Lubbock; sisters, Winnie Spears of Amarillo, Faye Sinclair, Sally Casstevens of Tacoima, Calif., and Gladys Hickman of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Wayne Abel
TURNERSVILLE -- Wayne K. Abel, 72, of Odessa, a logging engineer in the petroleum industry, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Deerings Nursing Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Emmett Barnard officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Turnersville cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Clarendon and moved to Odessa in 1953 from Snyder. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Cindy Abel of Odessa and Connie Reddell of Alvin; son, Bill Abel of Houston; sister, Billie Jean Hollis of Midland; six grandchildren and one great-grandhcild.

Michael Guevara
MARFA -- Michael (Mike) Guevara, 28, of Marfa died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine and was a lifelong resident of Marfa. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Delma Hulce of Marfa; sister, Sonya Garcia of Marfa; brothers, Raymond Guevara and Edward Guevara, both of Marfa.
