Servando Carrasco

CRANE - Servando Carrasco, 19, floor hand for Pool Well Service, died Aug. 25, 1997, at Crane County Memorial Hospital.

Rosary was said Tuesday at the Richard W. Box Funeral Home in Big Lake. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Big Lake with the Rev. Barry McClean officiating. Burial will be at the Glenn Rest cemetery in Big Lake. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.

He was born in Andrews and had been a resident of Big Lake for 12 years. He was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Zackery Ramirez of Big Lake; parents, Francisco Carrasco and Haydee Carrasco, both of Big Lake; sister, Haydee Carrasco of Big Lake; and brother, Jamie Francisco Carrasco of Big Lake.

Ronnie Lee Duckworth

ODESSA - Ronnie Lee Duckworth, 47, a salesman for G.Q. Salmon and Sons and Lone Star Drum, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1997, in Cloudcroft, N.M.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Easley officiating. Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Stewardson cemetery near Santa Anna. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Brady and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Susan Duckworth of Odessa; sons, Matt Duckworth of Odessa, Ron Conner of Midland and John Conner of San Angelo; daughter, Jennifer Norris of Odessa; brothers, Billy Ray Duckworth of Midland, Horace Dean 'Bunny' Duckworth of Odessa and R.A. Duckworth of San Angelo; sisters, Winnejo Ivey and Judy Sheppard, both of Midland; and one grandchild.

Herman Johnson

MONAHANS - Herman Johnson, 57, a retired truck stop attendant, died Aug. 25, 1997, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Bill Halter officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans.

He was born in Marietta, Okla,. and was a longtime resident of Monahans.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Maxine Teague and Wanda Beeler, both of Big Spring.

Troy Melton

MIDLAND - Troy H. Melton, 74, commander of the V.F.W. post in Midland, died Aug. 25, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fairview cemetery with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born in O'Brien and had been a resident of Midland since 1995.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Melton of Midland; sons, Irvis J. Melton of Midland, Travis Melton of Odessa and Troy Melton Jr. of Fort Worth; daughters, Cindy Patterson of Midland and Etta Melton of Sweetwater; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kip D'Wayne Stanley

ODESSA - Kip D'Wayne Stanley, a meat cutter with Wal-Mart, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1997, at his home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Life Challenge, 1601 W. 13th St., with the Revs. Dan Smeltzer, Edwin Dyess and James Barnes officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Angela Ashcraft Stanley of Odessa; sons, Kaleb D'Wayne Stanley and K.C. Dwight Stanely, both of Odessa; mother, Iris Farley of Odessa; father, Jack Stanley of Arizona; and brothers, Jeremy Hatfield and J.B. Dylan Farley, both of Odessa; and grandmother, Daphene Dunn of Odessa.

Cipriano Gonzales

ODESSA - Cipriano Gonzales, 97, a retired construction worker, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rosary will be said Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Interment will be in Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in San Jose, Texas and lived in Odessa since 1950. He was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Gualberto Gonzales of Watsonville, Calif.; Dulces Gonzales of Watsonville, Calif.; Vicente Gonzales of Odessa; Jesus Gonzales of Monahans; daughters, Andrea Carrasco of Odessa; Manuela Granado of Odessa; Matilde Carrasco of Odessa; Ernestina Gonzales of Odessa; Esther Gonzales of Odessa; sister, Eustacia Yanez of San Diego, Calif.; 40 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

Frances House

KINGSLAND - Frances House, 96, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, in Kingsland.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Kingsland with the Revs. Walter Knight and Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at Resthaven cemetery in Midland. Funeral arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes.

She was born in Comanche County and moved to Kingsland from Odessa in 1988. She was a Baptist. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Doris Payne of Mullin; Mildred Bizzell of Kingsland; Adelle Leek of Kingsland; son, Billy House of Azle; five granddaughters; eight great-greatgrandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Jackson

NEW BRAUNFELS - Robert 'Bob' N. Jackson, 71, owner of Schwab Welding and Machine Shop in New Braunfels, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Higgins officiating.

He was born in Norphlet, Ark. and was a resident of Odessa before moving to New Braunfels 24 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Odessa and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Marjorie I. Jackson of New Braunfels; daughters, Phyllis Calloway of Odessa; Frances Irvine of Odessa; sons, Dan Jackson of Caldwell, Idaho; Dale Jackson of Nampa, Idaho; Dean Jackson of New Braunfels; sisters, Jean Flournoy of Odessa; Patty Newman of Durham, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Nettie Oster

PECOS - Nettie Fay Oster, 73, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at West Park Baptist Church with the Rev. James Sain officiating. Burial will be in Mount Evergreen.

She was born in Crowell and lived in Pecos since 1958. She was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Husband, Clarence Oster of Pecos; sons, Larry Oster of Birmingham, Ala.; Ronnie Oster of Odessa; daughter, Betty Collier of Bishop; brothers, Alton R. Griffin of Lubbock; Riley R. Griffin of Odessa; sister, Effie Foster of Floydada; and seven grandchildren.

O.V. Scott

LAKE BROWNWOOD - O.V. 'Scottie' Scott, 72, retired plant supervisor for El Paso Products, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Arrangements by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

He was born in Brownwood, and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a Baptist and was a Mason.

Survivors: Son, Ronnie O. Scott of Odessa; daughters, Dena Scowden of Lake Brownwood; Karen Stepan of The Colony; brother, Hollis Scott of Victoria; sister, Pat Coker of Midland; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dessie Lee Stump

BROWNWOOD - Dessie Lee Stump, 79, a secretary for the Missouri Pacific Railway, died Aug. 26, 1997, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Memorial cemetery in Big Spring with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Funeral arrangements by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

She was born in Erath County and was resident of Odessa before moving to Brownwood. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Bobbie Spencer and Viola Hampton, both of Brownwood, Dorothy Hornbeck of San Antonio and Mildred Lightfoot of Midland; and brother, Lewis Stump of Lubbock.

Francisco Tenorio

ODESSA - Francisco Tenorio, 68, a retired truck driver and crossing guard, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997 at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Marfa and moved to Odessa in 1959. SURVIVORS: Wife, Placida Flynn Tenorio of Odessa; sons, Eddie Tenorio of Odessa; Frank Tenorio Jr. of Odessa; step-sons, Paul Flynn of Lubbock; Marcos Flynn of Andrews; Jose Flynn of Odessa; daughter, Delia Fuentes of Odessa; step-daughter, Mague Urquedez of Odessa; sister, Herlinda Martinez of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
