CRANE — Woodrow Holbert, 81, of Crane died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at Crane County Care Center.
Services are pending with Richard W. Box Funeral Home.

Eugene Krutilek
FORT STOCKTON — Eugene Leo "Crash" Krutilek, 69, of Fort Stockton died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in Fort Stockton.
Services are pending with Memorial Funeral Home.

Ramon Garcia
PECOS — Ramon Garcia, 82, of Pecos died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Stepsons, Cosme Valenzuela of Odessa and Eliacer Valenzuela of Ojinaga, Mexico; stepdaughters, Josefa Cordava of Terravella, Calif., and Bertha Valenzuela of Pecos; brother, Jose Moreno Garcia of Pecos; sister, Ramona Uribe of California; and 28 grandchildren.

Bernardo Gutierrez
STANTON — Bernardo Gutierrez, 98, of Stanton died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Stanton Care Center.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Arturo Pestin and Ernie Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Stanton. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Manuel Gutierrez, of San Antonio; daughters, Julia Romero and Priscilla Garza, both of Stanton, Maria Hernandez of Big Spring and Elena Samora of Eastland; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Elfida Herrera
PRESIDIO — Elfida Fuentes Herrera, 93, of Presidio, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in an El Paso hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Shafter cemetery in Shafter. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Shafter. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Fred Herrera, of Andrews; daughters, Gloria Burgess of Presidio and Margie Loustaunau of El Paso; sister, Adela Cortez of El Paso, Lucila Dominguez of Marfa and Lola Gonzalez of Santa Maria, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Rodney Mitchell
ANDREWS — Rodney Mitchell, 46, of Andrews, a construction worker, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Andrews.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Shiloh Kline, of Tyler; sons, Brandon Mitchell of Warsaw, Ill., and Jeremy Mitchell of Tyler; mother, Mae Mitchell, of Andrews; brother, Troy Mitchell, of Warsaw, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Doris Roop
SAN ANTONIO — Doris Deane Middlebrook Roop, 78, of San Antonio died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in San Antonio.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mission Burial Park North with the Rev. Joe Walts officiating. Arrangements by Porter Loring Mortuary North.
She was born in Oklahoma City.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Lon Roop of Alaska, John O. Roop of Austin and Christian Roop of Dallas; daughter, Rebecca Penry of San Antonio; and four grandchildren.

Mattie Smith
LAMESA — Mattie Marie Smith, 87, of Monahans died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Monahans Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lamesa Memorial Park with the Rev. Gordon Cox officiating. Burial will be at Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Valiant, Okla., and has been a resident of Monahans since 1988. She was Baptist.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Robert Taylor
ODESSA — Robert Dee Taylor, 73, of Odessa, retired owner of the Batting Center, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Eddie Parrish and Bert Groves officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Rocksprings cemetery in Rocksprings. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Junction and moved to Odessa in 1990. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty Taylor, of Odessa; daughters, Susie Rouw of Cedar Hill, Peggy Marshall of Little Rock, Ark., and Melissa Hunter of Houston; brother, Herold Taylor of Georgetown; and five grandchildren.

Richard Bennett
ODESSA — Richard Stephen "Rick" Bennett, 55, of Odessa, a parts manager, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Odessa cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in El Paso.

Eula Culvahouse
ODESSA — Eula Mae Turner Jones Culvahouse, 95, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Avalon Place.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Terry Pugh officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Katemcey and moved to Odessa in 1987 from Kermit. She was Pentecostal.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bill Culvahouse of Brownfield and Wayne Culvahouse of Midland; daughters, Lucile Granbery of Dekalb, Florence Norwood and Mary Lawson, both of Odessa, and Beverly St. Germain of Alamogordo, N.M.; sister, Midge Weinheimer of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Enrique Falcon
ANDREWS — Enrique Jose Falcon, infant son of Jose and Alice Falcon, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Permian General Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Andrews North Babyland cemetery with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Andrews.
SURVIVORS: Parents; brother, Gabriel Falcon of Andrews; sisters, Larissa Falcon and Selena Falcon, both of Andrews; grandfather, Henry Rodriguez of Andrews.
