ANDREWS — Odessa Carter, 91, of Ozona, mother of state Rep. Bill G. Carter, R-Fort Worth, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in Ozona.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home with the Rev. H.A. Hanks officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in New Edinburg, Ark., and moved to Ozona in 1994 from Andrews. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bill G. Carter, of Fort Worth; daughters, Jacque Carter Pedigo of Runaway Bay and Sandra Carter Bebee of Ozona; brother, Marcus A. Ward, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Polly Hogate of Sacramento, Calif., and Georgia Holden of Cherry Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Emma Clark
ODESSA — Emma Lee Clark, 58, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carter Chapel Church with the Rev. Andrew Nance officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Mexia and had lived in Odessa for 42 years. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Louis Clark, of Odessa; sons, Burl Bonner Jr. of Odessa, Shannon Williams of California, Alfred L. Clark of Dallas and Louis Nichols of San Antonio; daughters, Kimberly Clark of Oklahoma City, Lavora Clark Lesure of Midland and Lisa Clark of Las Vegas; father, T.J. Busby of Odessa; brother, Ocie Ray, and H.L. Carter, both of Odessa; sisters, Annie Mae Busby of Odessa and Sheila Pettis of Mexia.

Allen Guster
ODESSA — Allen Lloyd Guster Jr., 74, of Odessa, a retired school teacher, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger T. McNeil officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Belton and moved to Odessa in 1963 from McCamey. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Willie Guster, of Odessa; son, Gerry L. Guster Sr., of Houston; daughters, Jina Guster Wilson of Houston, Kathy Guster of Dallas and Brenda Barnes of Gladewater; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mike Mancha
ODESSA — Mike Rene Mancha, 33, of Odessa died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Michelle Mancha, of Odessa; sons, Jeremy Mancha and Michael Mancha, both of Odessa; daughter, Emari Mancha, of Odessa; brothers, Ruben Mancha, Dulces Mancha Jr., Sammy Mancha and Rodney Kempke, all of Odessa; sister, Maria Mancha, of Odessa; parents, Dulces and Lupe Mancha Sr. of Odessa; and grandparents, Lupe and Maria Mancha of Odessa.

Chon Ramos
ODESSA — Chon Ramos, 89, of Odessa, a retired cement finisher, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Seabury Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Margrete Ramos, of Odessa; sons, Joe Ramos of Dallas, Rowland Ramos of Odessa and Chon Ramos of Lubbock; daughter, Abelina Ramos, of Amarillo; sisters, Josefina Polanco of Monahans and Juliana Galindo of Kermit; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Lois Ratcliff
MIDLAND — Lois Mae Ratcliff, 83, of Lubbock, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at St. Mark’s Methodist Church with the Rev. Lon Williams officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
She was born in Lovelady and moved to Lubbock from Midland in 1999. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Roy W. Ratcliffe, of Dexter, N.M.; daughter, Jeanne C. Worley, of Lubbock; brothers, Howard H. Williams of Odessa and Wallace Williams of Breckenridge; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul Shelton
NOCONA — Paul Guinn Shelton, 75, of Nacona, a retired insurance agent, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls.
Services were held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Church of the Brethren. Burial was at Molsbee Chapel cemetery. Arrangements were by Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
He was born in Nocona and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Church of Brethren.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eva M. Shelton, of Nocona; son, John W. Shelton, of Odessa; daughters, Paula M. Bivins and Claudia S. Moore, both of Odessa; stepdaughter, Leah Murphy of Odessa; brother, Wade Shelton, of Nocona; sister, Bonnie Baggett of Houston; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Benjamin Thompson
ODESSA — Benjamin M. Thompson, 82, of Midland, owner of Auto Wholesales Inc., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Midland Skilled Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Elk View, W.Va. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Judy Thompson of Midland; daughter, Aprile White, of Midland; and two grandchildren.

Enid Allison
ODESSA — Enid Allison, 81, of Odessa, a retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Smalling officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born in Fort Worth and moved to Odessa in 1945 from California. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Harlean Knight of Weatherford; sister, Reta Wade of Odessa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Enrique Almanza
PECOS — Enrique Almanza, 52, of Odessa, a market manager, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Saragosa cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos and was a longtime resident. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Leticia Almanza of Pecos; sons, Mark Almanza of Midland and Mario Almanza of Arlington; daughter, Cynthia Almanza of Midland; brothers, Fidel Almanza of Carlsbad, N.M., Gomisindo Almanza Jr. of Pecos and Jose Almanza of Arlington; sisters, Teresa Alvardo of Balmorhea and Carmela Carrasco of Irving; and two grandchildren.

KERMIT — Omar Gallardo Jr., 16, of Kermit died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Kermit and was a lifelong resident.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Omar and Leonila Gallardo of Kermit; brother, Eduardo Gallardo of Kermit; sister, Thailia Gallardo of Kermit; grandparents, Jose and Guadalupe Gallardo of Fort Worth and Antonio and Guadalpe Armendariz of Kermit; great-grandparents, Isidro and Herculana Garcia of Mexico.
