Euesbia Rodriguez

FORT STOCKTON — Euesbia Velasquez Rodriguez, 95, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Filimon Ponce officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Boquillas. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Margaret Rodriguez of Fort Stockton; sister, Juana Velasquez; and six grandchildren.

Johnnie Turnbough

ODESSA — Johnnie Willie Turnbough, 86, of Midland, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Howard officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Wolf City and had been a resident of Odessa.

SURVI VORS: Daughters, Joyce Hunt Campbell of Murphy, N.C., Geneva Hunt Burke of Clovis, N.M., Barbara Hunt Richardson of Midland and Virginia Hunt Stanfield of Midlothian; son, Tom Hunt of Desoto; seven grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Manuel Bitolas

PECOS — Manuel "Bobby" Ortiz Bitolas Jr., 56, of Pecos, a retired foreman for Pennzoil Co., died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, in Pecos.

Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Myra Taylor and Nancy Ontiveros, both of Pecos, Bonnie Garcia of San Antonio and Olivia Castillo of Midland; parents, Manuel "Bibi" Bitolas and Cruz Bitolas, both of Pecos; brother, Danny Bitolas of Pecos; sister, Mary "Lila" Bitolas of Midland; and seven grandchildren.

Mary Lonis

ANDREWS — Mary Lonis, 83, of Fort Worth, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Paris, Texas, and had been a resident of Andrews before moving to Fort Worth in 1995. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Carolynn Morris of Dallas; son, Archie H. Lonis Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Melba Thomas and Billie Cullers, both of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Euesbia Rodriguez

FORT STOCKTON — Euesbia V. Rodriguez, 95, of Fort Stockton died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton.

Arrangements are pending with Memorial Funeral Home.

Terry Parker

DENVER CITY — Terry Lynn Parker, 38, of Denver City, former co-owner of Electric Motor Repair, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Fred officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home.

He was born in Lubbock. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Stephanie Parker of Denver City; daughter, Whitney Nicole Parker of Denver City; son, Jacob Thomas Parker of Denver City; mother, Nadine Parker of Denver City; brothers, Rodney Parker and Donny Parker, both of Denver City; and sister, La’Dena Mitchell of Caldwell.

Gene Tallant

ODESSA — Gene Tallant, 78, of Odessa, retired owner and operator of Gene’s Grocery Store, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Bartlett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Spur and had been a resident of Odessa since 1956. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen Tallant of Odessa; daughters, Linda Ward of Odessa, Paula Glenn of Corpus Christi and Amelia Tallant of Haskell; brothers, Weldon Tallant of Livingston and Glenn David Tallant of Abilene; sisters, Florence Spiker of North Richland Hills, Melba Malone of Midland and Patricia Mead of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Robert Beasley

ODESSA — Robert Emmitt Beasley, 79, of Odessa, a veteran of the Marines, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Rex Clayton officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Oilton, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa since 1988. He was a Protestant.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Irene Beasley of Odessa; son, Emmitt Beasley of Pampa; daughter, Pamela Beasley of Odessa; and sister, Lois Shinn of Tampa, Fla.

Ysidra Lujan

ODESSA — Ysidra Lujan, 53, of Odessa, a bus driver, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Ligardo Alonso officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Presidio. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Lujan of Odessa; daughter, Lupe Ann Lujan of Odessa; father, Esteban Alvarado of Odessa; brothers, Jimmy Alvarado, Raymond Alvarado and Tony Alvarado, all of Kermit, Steve Alvarado of Odessa, Oscar Alvarado and Frank Alvarado, both of Lovington, N.M.; and sisters, Estefana Lara of Odessa and Margie Martinez of Corpus Christi.

Merlon Thigpen

BIG SPRING — Merlon Ray "Shotgun" Thigpen, 63, of Big Spring, a gager for Duncan Drilling Company, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

He was born in Jayton and had been a resident of Big Spring since 1978. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Tighpen of Big Spring; daughters, Lela Williams and Sabrina Rivera, both of Big Spring; son, Johnny Henson of Big Spring; sisters, Nell Cox of Odessa, Faye Franklin of Farmington, N.M., and Jo Schreiber of Llano; brothers, Dub Thigpen of Saginaw and James Thigpen of Marble Falls; and four grandchildren.

William Conoly

VAN HORN — William "Bill" Edward Conoly, 31, of Van Horn, an alarm technician, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at a local hospital.

Mass will be celebrated as 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will be at Van Horn cemetery. Arrangements by Van Horn Funeral Home.

He was born in Alpine. He owned and operated American Fire and Security Company.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Vanessa Conoly of Van Horn; parents, Don and Jo Conoly of Van Horn; son, William Reed Conoly of Van Horn; daughters, Branda Monique Conoly and Kara Conoly, both of Monterey, Calif.; brothers, Donny Conoly and Paul Conoly, both of San Angelo; sisters, Debbie Clark and Beth Gary, both of Van Horn.
