SEMINOLE — Johnny Lee Pitcox, 57, of Huntsville, a truck driver, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at his residence.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at the Gaines County cemetery South with Darrell Patton officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was born in Seminole and had been a resident of Seminole before moving to Huntsville. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Zelma Fay Pitcox of Huntsville; son, Jody Pitcox of Mineral Wells; daughters, Carol Pitcox of Temple and Kathy Pitcox of Gonzales; brothers, B.B. Pitcox and Lonnie Pitcox, both of Seminole; sisters, Margie Orona and Myrtle Pitcox, both of Seminole, and Joyce Williams of Burnett; and numerous grandchildren.

Billy Roberts

ANDREWS — Billy G. Roberts, 63, of Andrews, a retired hot oiler driver, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Andrews Health Care Center in Andrews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Marcum officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Abilene. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Kenneth Roberts of Pecos and Kevin Roberts of Monahans; and mother, Jessie Roberts of Andrews.

Lindy Brown

ODESSA — Lindy Lee Brown, 12, of Odessa, a student at Nimitz Junior High, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Westfall officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Parents, John O. and Lori Brown of Odessa; sister, Robin Lynn Brown of Odessa; grandparents, Nell and David Waldrop and John E. Brown, all of Odessa, and Larry Clevenger of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and great-grandmother, Virginia Westfall of Odessa.

Walter Collett

SHEFFIELD — Walter L. "Dick" Collett, 75, of Iraan, retired owner of El Camino Restaurant, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at Iraan General Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Mother Holmes Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Fortune and Mike Wright officiating. Burial will be at the Sheffield cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.

He was born in Carlsbad and had been a resident of Iraan since 1989. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Edna M. "Snooks" Collett of Iraan; son, James Collett of McCamey; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Chito Dominguez

MIDLAND — Chito Dominguez, 29, of Midland, a carpenter, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at his residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerome Burnett officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Reyes-Garcia Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.

He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and had been a resident of Presidio before moving to Midland in 1984. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Juana Dominguez of Reynosa, Mexico; son, Teodoso Dominguez Jr. of Mission; daughter, Jennifer Dominguez of Mission; parents, Jose Dominguez of Midland and Nemecia Garcia of Ojinaga; brothers, Pablo Dominguez and Epifanio Dominguez, both of Midland, and Alvaro Dominguez of Austin; and sisters, Loli Quintela of Odessa, Anavelia Rey of Ojinaga, Maricela Galindo of Cancun, Mexico, Nena Dominguez of Midland and Blanca Dominguez of Big Spring.

Thomas Hart

ODESSA — Thomas C. Hart, 73, of Odessa, a retired truck driver, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Clifton cemetery in Clifton. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at his residence. Arrangements by Clifton Funeral Home.

He born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Son, Michael Hart of Dallas; daughter, ShaRon Hart of Sadona, Ariz.; a granddaugher; and a great-granddaughter.

Violet Hudson

SEMINOLE — Violet Mae Hudson, 91, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at the Lamesa Memorial Park in Lamesa. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Centerpoint and moved from Lamesa to Seminole in 1951. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Mary Dell Brown of Texico, N.M., Brenda Turk of Blossom and Karen Threet of Seminole; sister, Hazel Sandell of Las Cruces, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Thomas Schaefer

ODESSA — Thomas Edward Schaefer, 64, of Odessa, a professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, in Odessa.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Weehawken, N.J., and had been a resident of Odessa since 1978.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Frances Schaefer of Odessa; daughters, Margaret Schaefer and Teresa Schaefer, both of Midland, Nancy Schaefer of New York City and Jennifer Smith of Odessa; sons, Michael Schaefer of Pearland, Martin Schaefer, John Schaefer and Dominic Schaefer, all of Odessa; brother, George Schaefer of Oakland, N.J.; and five grandchildren.

Pauline Yarbrough

PECOS — Pauline W. Yarbrough, 69, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenwood cemetery with the Rev. James Henderson officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Jacksonville.

ODESSA — R.G. Carleton, 88, of Odessa, a retired employee of Exxon Pipeline Co., died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Looby officiating. Burial will be at Proctor cemetery in Proctor. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Proctor. He was an Army veteran of the World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Bettie Carleton of Odessa; son, Richard Carleton of Dallas; daughter, Elizabeth Looby of Corpus Christi; brother, Edward Carleton of Austin; sisters, Grace Miller of Austin, Allene Lee of Dublin and Nannie Faye Harris of Kermit; and four grandchildren.

PECOS — Loy M. Collier, 79, of Pecos, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Okemah, Okla., and had been a resident of Pecos since 1948. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Beth Collier of Pecos; son, Ronny Collier of Kingwood; stepsons, Bill Harrison of Bakersfield, Calif., and Bruce Harrison of Carrollton, Ga.; stepdaughter, Sharon Jernigan of Pecos; sister, Zelma Nemeth of El Paso; two grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
