Francisco Martinez

PECOS — Francisco Martinez, 89, of Pecos, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will be at Barstow cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Ruidosa. He was a veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Son, Santiago Martinez of El Paso; daughters, Eva Flores of Pecos, Juanita Carrasco of Phoenix, and Delma Carrasco of Carlsbad, N.M.; sister, Maria Faulkner of Phoneix; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Kay Bruce

CRANE — Kay Elizabeth Brents Bruce, 54, of Aubrey, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Lyndel Lee and Bob Petree officiating. Burial will follow at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

She was born in Electra.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Elizabeth Baker of Sherman and Georgianna Blue of Crane; son, James Dwight Brents Jr. of Crane; mother, Edith Bullard of San Angelo; brother, George D. Bullard Jr. of San Angelo; sisters, Anne Reed of Sherman and Jencie Edwards of Crane; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Agnes Cromie

SANTA FE, N.M. — Agnes Marie Dees Cromie, 79, of Midland, a retired employee of the First Interstate Bank accounting department, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. (MST) Thursday at National cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Clinton, Ind., and moved to Odessa in 1974. She was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Toni Redman of Midland and Colleen DuBois of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Roy Dees of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters, Pearl Binegar of Ennis, Gladys Hoffman of Fairfield, Ohio, Delores Springer of Hillsboro, N.M., and Kathryn Heitfield of Brookville, Ind.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Mary Davis

SAN ANGELO — Mary E. Davis, 93, of San Angelo, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Belvedere Memorial Park with the Rev. Kenneth Patrick officiating. Arrangements by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

She was born in Mason County and had been a resident of Odessa for many years.

SURVIVORS: Sons, O.H. Bennie of Odessa and Bill Bennie of San Angelo; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James Fuller

BIG SPRING — James Holbert Fuller, 95, of Big Spring, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at 14th and Main Church of Christ with Perry Cotham, Royce Clay and Rick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.

He was born in Quitman and had been a resident of Howard County since 1932. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mattie Fuller of Big Spring; daughters, Sherry Wegner of Big Spring and JoAnn Scott of Odessa; son, Don Fuller of Garland; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Natalie Jones

ODESSA — Natalie Leona Jones, 83, of Lewisville, a retired Head Start teacher, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Lewisville.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wes Duckett officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Stonington, Maine, and was a longtime resident of Odessa before moving to Lewisville a year ago. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jennifer Lane of Odessa and Susie Kitchens of Corinth; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Michael Miller

ODESSA — Michael Miller, 46, of Midland died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa and moved to Midland four years ago. He was Nazarene.

SURVIVORS: Mother, Wanda Miller of Midland; and brothers, Ronnie William Miller of San Jose, Calif., and Bobbie Wayne Miller of Odessa.

Ramona Ortega

PECOS — Ramona V. Ortega, 53, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Munoz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Acala and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Luis L. Ortega of Pecos; daughter, Gloria V. Flores of Pecos; brother, Sammy C. Villalon of Pecos; sister, Herlinda Villalon of Uvalde; and three grandchildren.

Yolanda Rodriguez

PECOS — Yolanda J. Rodriguez, 43, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Seminole and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Benjamin Orozco of Pecos; son, Pablo G. Rodriguez of Fort Irvin, Calif.; daughters, Joann R. Olivas of Pecos, Monica R. Hernandez of Hobbs, N.M., and Marisol Rodriguez of Odessa; mother, Epifania Jurado of Pecos; brother, Manuel S. Jurado Jr. of Pecos; sister, Cristina Marruffo of Pecos; and seven grandchildren.

Ramona Soto

ODESSA — Ramona V. Soto, 51, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at her residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Artesia, N.M. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Jesse Soto, Martin Soto, Valente Soto Jr., James Soto and Joe Soto, all of Odessa; daughters, Maria Fuentez and Becky Soto, both of Odessa; parents, Mariano and Manuela Villanueva of Odessa; brothers, Jose Villanueva of Seagraves, Domingo Villanueva of Denver, Gilberto Olivas Gonzales, Hijinio Gonzales and Miguel Angel Olivas Gonzales, all of Ojinaga, Mexico; sisters, Sylvia O. Munoz and Celia O. Lujan, both of Ojinaga, and Maria O. Munoz of Odessa; and eight grandchildren.

Charles Torrence

ODESSA — Charles B. Torrence, 81, of Odessa, a taxi driver, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Hospice House.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Mike Bartlett officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Baltimore. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, William Torrence of Odessa; sister, Mary Downing of Virginia; and six grandchildren.

Larry Dugham

VAN ZANDT COUNTY — Larry Dugham, 38, of Ben Wheeler died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, in Van Zandt County.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
