Mary Waller
JAL, N.M. — Mary Beatrice Waller, 85, of Jal, N.M., a retired self-employed beautician, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Calvary Funeral Home.
She was born in Lone Star and had been a resident of El Paso. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Tolbert Waller of Jal, N.M.; daughter, Katherine Kerr Davis of Willows, Calif.; a grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Mary Louise Gilmour, 85, of Odessa died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Seabury Nursing Center.
Services are pending with Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
William Guinn
ODESSA — William David Guinn, 41, of Odessa died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at his residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Allen McFall
MIDLAND — Allen R. McFall, 51, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Breckenridge with Charles Kuhn officiating.
A Midland memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at the Glass Chapel of the First United Methodist Church.
He was born March 19, 1949, in Andrews to George Robert McFall and Erin Mary Yarborough McFall. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1967 as a National Merit Scholar. He graduated from North Texas State University in Denton and went on to receive a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Robert McFall of Bedford, cousins and many friends.
The family requests memorials be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Florence ‘Billie’ Fowler
MIDLAND — Florence "Billie" Fowler died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at a local care center.
Memorial services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert V. Scoffield of Bethany Christian Church of Odessa officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Florence Fowler was born Feb. 16, 1914, in Archer County to Henry Riley Prescott Sr. and Helen Olivia Prescott. On April 15, 1933, she married
John W. Fowler in Frederick, Okla. She and her husband farmed in Floydada until coming to Odessa in 1950. Mrs. Fowler enjoyed cooking for her family, playing cards, fishing and gardening.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Morgan; and her husband, John Fowler, in 1992.
She is survived by her son, William "Bill" A. Fowler and his wife Sherrie of Cleburne; two daughters, Linda Fowler Wade and her husband Marlin of Midland and Sandra Fowler Ross and her husband Joe of Fort Worth; a brother, Henry Riley Prescott and his wife Jean of Liberty; two grandsons, Mark Moseley and his wife Marlene of Slidell, La., and Robert Ross and his wife Lisa of Fort Worth; two granddaughters, Sara Jane Fettinger and her husband Patrick of Arlington and Meredith Gillum of Farmers Branch; and her four great-grandchildren, Aerin Ross, Travis Austin Moseley, Caroline Fettinger and Miranda Fettinger.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Home Hospice or Red Rose Christian Home.
Ruben V. Franco
ODESSA — Ruben V. Franco, 66 years of age, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at his Odessa residence.
He was born May 18, 1934, in Lovington, N.M., to Manuel and Blasa Franco. Mr. Franco retired after many years of pipe painting in the oilfield. He was also a member of El Divino Salvador Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Franco of Odessa; sons, Ruben Franco of Odessa and Daniel Franco of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Yolanda Franco of Carlsbad, N.M.; brothers, Jose Franco and Juan Franco, both of Carlsbad; sister, Gloria Franco of Lovington; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Valerie, Michelle, Elizabeth, Thania, Bridget and Raimond.
Visitation will begin from noon to 9 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services have been set for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ofelia H. Salinas officiating. A memorial service has been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at El Divino Salvador Methodist Church located at 1616 Castle Road in Odessa.

Margaret F. Smith
ODESSA — Margaret F. Smith, 71, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Smith was born April 6, 1929, in Belton. She married
Cecil Smith on June 17, 1961. She and her husband Cecil had been in the restaurant business in Odessa for 39 years. She devoted much of her life to her two sons’ passion for music. In recent years, she enjoyed the company of her grandson and collecting dolls.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Cosper, and sister, Gerel Hartman.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Smith of Odessa; two sons, Byron Smith and Robin Smith, both of Round Rock; a grandson, Fisher Smith of Lubbock; two brothers, Bill and Doc Truelove, both of Temple; and two sisters, Loretta Meyer of Carlsbad, N.M., and Mona Marler of DeRidder, La.
The family will meet with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services at 3 p.m. at Robert Lee cemetery in Robert Lee.
Margaret was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved her family very much.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
George Stanley "Stan" Boswell
MIDLAND — George Stanley "Stan" Boswell, 39, of Midland, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at a Midland nursing home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Timothy Murphy officiating. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
Mr. Boswell was born Nov. 25, 1961, in Roswell, N.M.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Palma Maria Boswell of Durham, N.C.; sons, Michael Anthony, Thomas Andrew and Jonathan Bryan, all of Midland; parents, Mary Rae and Ellsworth Boswell of Midland; sister, Rosilynn Suzanne "Susie" Boswell of Midland; brothers, John Adam Boswell of Midland; Thomas Patrick Boswell of Comfort; and Paul Michael Boswell of Dallas; sister, Annette Marie Hall and husband, Nelson Hall II, of Bedford.
Fanny Ruth Gandy Carnes
ABILENE — Fanny Ruth Gandy Carnes, 92, of Abilene, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa. Arrangements by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Homes.
Mrs. Garnes was born in Floresville and was an elementary school teacher in Odessa and McCamey.
She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Stepsons, Wayne Carnes of Odessa, and Eddie W. Carnes of Seminole; stepdaughters, Betty David and Peggy McComas, both of Odessa; nine nieces and nephews; and twelve step-grandchildren.
Gregorio Gabaldon
PECOS — Gregorio Gabaldon, 70, of Pecos, a retired laborer, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.
Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, in Las Colinas, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He was born March 12, 1930, in Cuchillo Parado, Mexico.
He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Carmen Gabaldon of Pecos; sons, Miguel, Gregorio and Alfonso Gabaldon, all of Pecos; daughters, Mary Lou Gabaldon and Margarita de Anda, both of Odessa; Elvira Aguilar of Pecos; and Michele Gabaldon of Pecos; brothers, Nolberto, Lino and Teofilo Gabaldon, all of Pecos; sister, Natalia Villalobos; and 10 grandchildren.
Isabel Urias Garcia
FORT STOCKTON — Isabel Urias Garcia of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodney White officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home, Fort Stockton.
She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Pedro Garcia Ortega of Abilene; daughters, Andrea Garcia Ramirez and Victoria Garcia Martinez, both of Fort Stockton; brother, Marcelo Jaquez Urias of Eloy, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great granchildren.
