Willie Fulton

ELECTRA — Willie Isabell Fulton, 90, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Electra cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Goldthwaite and had been a lifelong resident of Electra. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Tommy G. Fulton of Midland; daughters, Kathrin Ward of Electra and Virginia Jennings Thomason of Gardendale; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

William Marsh Jr.

ODESSA — William "Bill" Marsh Jr., 72, of Odessa, retired owner of Bill’s Motorcycle Shop, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Phoenix and had been a longtime resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lori Lacey of Odessa; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Marian Morelan

PECOS — Marian Maxine Morelan, 71, of Pecos, a retired bookkeeper for Pecos Air Conditioning Co., died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. James Sain officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Ockley, Ind., and had been a resident of Pecos since 1953. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Dickie Morelan of Pecos; sons, Dale Bryan Morelan of Odessa and John Thomas Morelan of Corpus Christi; daughter, Paula Kay Morelan of Garland; sister, Juanita Sheets of Del Phi, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

Lois Nix

ALPINE — Lois E. Nix, 76, of Alpine, a retired telephone operator, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at a Fort Stockton hospital.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at First Christian Church with John Carnagey and Jim Case officiating. Burial was at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

She was born in Fort Stockton. She was a member of the Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Janet Cochran of Alpine; brothers, Price Pool of McCamey and David Pool of Big Lake; and sisters, Davene Westfall of San Angelo and Jean Shultz of Granite Shoals.

Wesley Tims

ODESSA — Wesley Dean Tims, 39, of Odessa, an employee of Cutter Wireline Co. in Vernal, Utah, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Valley Medical Center in Vernal.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will be at Rosalie cemetery in Rosalie. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Rankin and moved to Odessa in 1962.

SURVIVORS: Father and stepmother, Tommy and Patsy Tims of Midland; brothers, Barry Tims of Whitney and Brad Tims of Midland; sisters, Laura Tampke and Jeanie Holloway, both of Houston; and grandmother, Lois Moses of Kerrville.

Manuel Villa

MIDLAND — Manuel M. Villa, 66, of Stanton died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services are pending with Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

Angel M. Bermudez

ALPINE — Angel M. Bermudez, 71, of Alpine, a 23-year Army veteran, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in an Odessa hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Geeslin Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. MST at Fort Bliss National cemetery in El Paso. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Hovey and was Catholic. He served in the Vietnam and Korean conflicts.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Catalina Bermudez of Alpine; son, Martin Bermudez of California; sisters, Dominga MinJaves, Romara Llanes, and Manuela Molinar, all of Alpine; and brothers, Felix Bermudez, Lalo Bermudez and Esequeil Bermudez, all of Alpine.

Wanda Cowan

PECOS — Wanda Lola Cowan, 78, of Pecos, a retired bookkeeper for Standard Oil Co., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greer Willis officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Carlyle, Ind. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cindy Cowan of Abilene; and sisters, Cleo Ellis and Alberta Myers, both of Linton, Ind.

Raymond Golden

SEMINOLE — Raymond Golden, 84, of Seminole, a farmer and rancher, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Lonnie Poe and Roger Foote officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery South. Arrange-ments by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

He was born in Coryell County. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Fern Ruth Golden of Seminole; daughters: Celesta Vaughan of Elkhart, Ind., and Connie Thornbury of Seminole; and five grandchildren.

Thomas J. Mathers

ODESSA— Thomas J. Mathers, 98, of Odessa, a retired Continental Oil employee, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Italy, Texas, and moved to Odessa in 1993 from El Paso. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ponca City, Okla.

SURVIVORS: Son, Joseph R. Mathers of Odessa; daughter, Ruthanne M. Woodward of San Carlos, Mexico; four grandchildren; and seven great-grand-children.

Howard Taylor

ODESSA — Howard Douglas Taylor, 51, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mackey Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darren Willis officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa and was a longtime resident.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Karen Okonkwo-Taylor of Odessa; brother, Larry Hendrix of Odessa; sisters, Patricia Wilson and Janice Mosley Foster, both of Odessa, and Marilyn Gentry of San Antonio.

Randall Penn

ODESSA — Randall "Randy" Kent Penn, 43, of Houston, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Terry Price officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Mother, Helen Penn of Odessa; and brother, Terry Allan Penn of Dallas.

Robert Pride Sr.

ODESSA — Robert Lee Pride Sr., 79, of Odessa, a retired ECISD custodian, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Kosse. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Valerie Pride Prairie of Odessa; sons, Melvin Johnson of Denver, Colo., Robert L. Pride Jr. and Darrell L. Pride, both of Odessa; daughter, Ola M. Pride of Odessa; brothers, Allen Pride of Calvert and Willie T. Pride of Houston; sisters, Ruby C. Williams of Calvert, Elhora Taylor and Dessie M. Pride, both of Odessa; five grandchildren; and six great-grand-children.

Margaret L. Davis

ODESSA — Margaret L. Davis, 56, of Odessa died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Hospice House.

She was born June 21, 1944, in Ames, Iowa, to Roy C. and Marilyn Young. She moved with her parents and two brothers to Odessa in 1951. Margaret graduated from Permian High School in 1961 and married Perry Max Davis in 1962. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Max Davis in February 2000 and two brothers, Charles Ray and Marvin Rex Young.

Survivors include her son, Perry Brion Davis of Odessa; daughters, Christi Derington and Mistie Schumpert and husband Dana, both of Odessa; mother, Marilyn Young McDonald of Odessa; father, Roy Young and wife Rita of Boise, Idaho; a brother; two sisters; grandchildren, Jacob and Brittany Derington and D.J., Dion Rex and Savanna Gwen Schumpert; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and loving mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gwen and Reed Gipson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Reed Gipson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
