Ronald Patterson

MIDLAND - Ronald "Ron" Patterson, 75, of Midland, a retired transportation manager, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Hospice House.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Polo Park Estates with Gary Montgomery officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Midland from San Antonio in 1991. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Margie Pecore of Midland; and five grandchildren.

Ynes Sanchez

McCAMEY - Ynes B. Sanchez, 84, of McCamey, a retired employee of Upton County, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry McLean officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at his residence. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

He was born in Marathon and was a resident of McCamey for 44 years. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Olivia B. Sanchez of McCamey; sons, Andrew Sanchez of Devine and Benito Sanchez of McCamey; daughters, Isabel Esparza of McCamey and Maria Gonzales of Rankin; brothers, Jose Sanchez of Carlsbad, N.M., Elias Sanchez of Fort Stockton and Merced Sanchez of Acuna, Mexico; sisters, Luisa Sanchez of Midland, Andrea Lara of Del Rio and Maria Ines Sanchez of Crane; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Charles Wesley

TOMBALL - Charles Mitchell Wesley, 71, of Magnolia, a retired oilfield rig constructor, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, in Tomball.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Klein Funeral Home Chapel with Hank Demous officiating. Burial was at Klein Memorial Park. Arrangements by Klein Funeral Home.

He was born in Beggs, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Alice Madonna Wilson Wesley of Magnolia; three sons; a brother; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Virginia Baeza

PRESIDIO - Virginia Baeza, 55, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mision de la Fe en Cristo Jesus with Roman Arreola and Efrain Gallegos officiating.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today at Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus in Odessa. Burial will be at Desert Hills cemetery in Presidio.

Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico. She was Apostolic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Gregorio Baeza of Odessa; son, Enrique Montoya of Odessa; daughter, Ilaria Dominguez of Garland; father, Francisco Baeza of Presidio; sisters, Angela Galindo of Midland and Maria Gonzalez of Oklahoma; brothers, Benino Venegas, Manuel Venegas, Adolfo Venegas and Jesus Venegas, all of Odessa; and five grandchildren.

Jimmy Pack

ODESSA - Jimmy Don Pack, 43, of Odessa, a roughneck, died Sunday, March 18, 2001, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Craig Martindale officiating.

Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident. He was Christian.

SURVIVOR: Grandmother, Margaret Minor of Odessa.

Lou Reid

ALPINE - Lou Taylor Reid, 94, of Alpine, a retired teacher, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at a Fort Stockton nursing home.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ed Waddill officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

She was born in Frisco and was a longtime resident of Alpine. She was Presbyterian.

AUSTIN - Brandon "Bucky" Mathis, 26, of Austin died Sunday, March 18, 2001, in Austin.

Vera Sanders

ANDREWS - Vera Sanders, 81, of Andrews died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Permian General Hospital.

Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Paula Espinoza

ODESSA - Paula Garcia Espinoza, 66, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Beeville. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Rene G. Espinoza of McAllen, Ruben G. Espinoza and Robert G. Espinoza, both of Houston; daughter, Rosa L. Cantu of Odessa; brother, Juan Garcia of San Antonio; sisters, Estella Mendez of Dimmitt, Dominga Ozuna of Dallas, and Antonio Rodriguez of Edinburg; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Emilio Lopez

ODESSA - Emilio G. Lopez, 77, of Barstow, a retired railroad worker, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at his residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Mexico. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Eusebia G. Lopez of Barstow; sons, Nicky Lopez of Lubbock, Steven Lopez of Round Rock and Dennis Lopez of Houston; daughters, Belinda Lopez and Melinda Lopez, both of Odessa, Adela Sedillo of Grand Prairie, Yvonne Lopez of Houston; stepdaughter, Carol Gonzales of Barstow; brother, Alejo Lopez of Breckenridge, sisters, Lupe Miller of Abilene and Connie Anguiano of Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Syble E. Milson, 79, of Odessa, a retired seamstress and interior designer, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Wilson, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1971 from Midland. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jim Milson of Odessa; daughter, Patricia Moore of Midland; brothers, A.G. Flippin of Vega, Ray Flippin, Harold Flippin, Gene Flippin and Bobby Flippin, all of Amarillo; sister, Hazel Morton of Amarillo; and three grandchildren.

Martha Murrell

ODESSA - Martha "Toni" Murrell, 72, of Midland, a retired real estate broker, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial with Hubert Hinkle officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Fayetteville, Ark.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jacob F. Murrell of Midland; son, Benny Franklin Murrell of Midland; brother, Ray Davis of Los Angeles; sister, Lillian Newman of Riverside, Calif.; and one grandchild.
